First Kiss Poll
Have you all seen the previews for the show on TLC Virgin Diaries? At first I thought it was strange because I wouldn't think being a virgin on your wedding would be unusual enough for a tv show. But some of them wait until they are married to kiss. I've been to a wedding where they waited to kiss and it looked nothing like this.

So how old were you when you had your first kiss? What's the story behind it? Let's say for sake of argument we mean first french kiss, not like a preschool peck on the lips.
I don't think I've used the word french kiss since jr high.

I was 18 & a freshman at A&M. He was one of my fish camp counselors. Scandalous!
I've been to 1 wedding where they had their first kiss on the altar. I thought it was beautiful. Looked nothing like that video.
That video does make me wonder though if my first kiss looked really awkward.

the bold was my first thought too!! I was 14 and met a boy at a local waterpark. We went and made out behind some rocks until we got kicked out by a lifeguard. I wore a back brace that he had to work around. HOT. We "went out" for a month and only saw each other that one time in person.
I was 13 and in 7th grade. He was my boyfriend until high school. Awww. What's really funny is that he was so tall and skinny and kind of akward looking and now he is super hot.
We kept in touch until about 5 years ago.
I was super late on this compared to my friends at the time.

I was 15 years old. It was my first "car date," as in my date drove me to the movies. We saw Dracula, but I didn't see any of it because we made out the entire time. He was my boyfriend for a year after or so. I wonder what ever happened to him.
I saw a similar thing to that on True Life. One of the couples hadn't kissed until their wedding day. Seems so odd to me. Make out sessions were one of the best things about high school. I have made out with boys in so many basements...lol. What do you Texans do without basements?

Fish Camp = Camp that all Aggie Freshman can go to. Just 4 days out in the woods hanging out, being silly, meeting other people, and learning the Aggie Traditions. After you get to College Station to start school your counselors will help you find your way around, learn about different organizations, etc.
FTR, we did not hook up until after camp. Something came up at a Fish Camp GTG that I was really missing cooking, so he offered to let me use his kitchen. I went over & made us dinner. Then we watched Die Hard. The first 30 minutes of it anyways.
Probably 7th grade. It was with a boy at a church youth group dance. :-)
And I am pretty sure we didn't look anything like that horrific video.

Super late at 13?? I was 17 and a senior in high school. He was actually my first date as well. He was a sophomore at LSU and we met at a church retreat where he was there kind of as a counselor for the high school kids at his church. The kiss did not happen at the retreat though. I'm pretty sure we went on a few dates before I was up for a real make out session!

I was 14 and was marching drum corps. We were friends and it started as pecks; good luck kisses before each show. After several of those, he came in with tongue and I was so surprised, I inhaled, creating suction. He told me he liked it and wanted more. Glad I didn't totally screw that one up.
I thought they looked like they were eating each other too. Even, the 2nd kiss shown was the same. Hopefully, he will calm down with practice.
bhahahahahahaha That was my thought too. Just watching that little clip made me horribly uncomfortable. (and I'm no prude, it was just weird!)
I don't remember who my first kiss was.
It was at the skating rink... that's about all I can remember. 6-7th grade.
i was 13 in the 8th grade; he was my first boyfriend......we were at his house watching Young Frankenstein eating popcorn and drinking rootbeer while his mom was in the kitchen. he had aaaawwwffuuuuuullllll popcorn breath.
he's one of my fb friends.

I don't remember the kiss itself - but it was with my first boyfriend in 8th grade when I was 13 or 14...I met him at a summer camp thing at Mercer Arboretum but was too shy to talk to him - so my little brother got the camp director's phone number and called her at home saying he really needed "Patrick .....'s" phone number for some reason..she gave it to him, my little brother called him and befriended him so we could all hang out and I could finally talk to him. (A testament to my brother's inherent awesomeness and badass wing man skills ;p ).
I'm sure the first kiss took place in the movie theater at Deerbrook mall since all we ever did was go to movies and hang out in Hot Topicl

i was 14? very beginning of my freshman year. he was a junior. he drove an older single cab f150, maroon, and i think he took me home after a football game (we were in band). it was in his truck outside my house. i proceeded to date him and go to homecoming with him that year AND my senior year. Then I figured him out after a couple more years and the last word i ever said to him was "whatever" via text message back in like...06?
spring break 7th grade! i guess I was 12... almost 13.
i just remember thinking it was a lot slimier and squishier than i had imagined, and that is was pretty wonderful and i wanted to keep kissing him like, forever.

7th grade, so I was 12, with my boyfriend at church. Saturday night the youth group had a lockin. Sunday morning we skipped the service and hung out in the youth group room and had our first real kiss. It was noticed that we were not at the service. I wasn't impressed. He's a casual fb friend now, but we went to different schools so we didn't really "go-together" for that long.
My first peck was at Games People Play off of 1960 when I was 10. It was a friends birthday party and the girls all spent the night at her house that night. I broke my nose later in the evening because we were all hyped and being silly that I got my first kiss and he said he had gotten "a boner", and I slid into a windowsill.

OMG MY EYES!!! Where is the eye bleach???!!! It looked like two aliens kissing. WTF? Have they never seen a movie where people kiss? Was that in fast motion?
They had to be joking. They had to know that they were being weird. They were being ironic and funny. Yes. That's it.
Anyway...my first kiss was when I was a sophomore and almost exactly what PAGAS said, first car date, we went to see a movie, dinner and then to a park where he pretend "tackled" me (gag) and then kissed me.
The guy was a senior cheerleader at Stratford and I can guarantee that at least 3 Houston nesties dated this dude. He got around.
It's funny b/c I can remember asking ccc which way I should lean my head when I kiss. LOL!
But I'm pretty sure that my first kiss didn't look like that insane video.

My first kiss was at 17, first boyfriend he was 21 and a sophomore or junior, can't remember, at A&M. It's been so long ago that I honestly can't remember when/where the kiss happened. lol
I saw that video earlier this week and immediately set that show to record on my DVR.
My first kiss was at summer camp (I think I was 12) and he was soooo dreamy. It was walking back to my cabin "the back way" and as we said goodbye we both went for it. It was so wet and gross. ick. He FB requested me in college and I thought it was so weird but I totally knew who he was.
