What do you have to AW about this week?
Re: AW Thursday
The furniture's (hopefully) being delivered tomorrow!
Aside from that... I got nothin' exciting or AW worthy.
That's exciting!!!
I can't think of anything to AW about this week.
My AW for the week is that I get to have lunch w/ my sister-in-law tomorrow and she's picking up sushi!
That's not a great AW, but I'm pretty excited about it! This week hasn't been very AW-worthy.
That is SUPER exciting! congrats!!
My elf's ornaments are out for delivery today!!
. brookie's cookies & more . miss wayne county . pinterest .
I ordered the "Babycakes" Donut Maker and Cakepop Maker from Kohl's over the weekend and got them for super cheap. I'm considering them my Christmas presents from DH. I like to do my own shopping because then I get the thrill of searching/shopping for the deals too.
Emma and Lily had their 3 year/2 month check-ups yesterday and both are doing wonderfully. It sounds so pathetic, but all positive reinforcement that I've done a good job at keeping them alive and well this long is always looked at as personal success.
DH and I have been looking at houses for a little while, and have decided over the past weekend that we're actually going to build a house. We haven't signed the purchase agreement yet or set anything in stone, but we have a deposit on the lot and it's feeling pretty much official at this point! I'm so excited!!!
The new house will be built about two doors down from my Bestie Babya (insert squeeling and excited jumping here) and as Andra put it "We're pretty much gonna' be like Sister Wives, except we won't be banging the same guy".
Sorry if you've already said this, but what kind of furniture did you order? How exciting!
That's awesome Corinne!!! You should be really proud of yourself.
I'm hoping to get out today and get my ornaments. You're ahead of me!
Please let me know how you like the Cakepop maker! I thought about asking for it from DH for Christmas.
You made me lol with this: all positive reinforcement that I've done a good job at keeping them alive and well this long is always looked at as personal success. I bet you are a fabulous mother Sarah!
The house news is so exciting!!! What area?? DH and I are trying to figure out where the heck to move when we buy a house.
I will definitely let you know Shannon! I may or may not actually use it before Christmas though, so I might not be any help before then. It got really good reviews online though, so you could always get it for him and take it back if it stinks. lol
Thanks for the vote of confidence as a mother. I guess I do alright.
We're really excited about the house news as well. We're currently renting from some family members and what was supposed to be an ideal situation is turning into a bit of a nightmare. We'll obviously have to wait for the house to be built, which isn't exactly ideal... but we're too excited about the house to care too much. I'll send you a PM with the area information/etc. You should move in the neighborhood too!! It could be like a Nestie haven!!
Thanks! I am proud of myself. I never thought I would be done!
Also, yay for building a new house! I hope DH and I can do that one day. Where abouts are you building? I work in the construction biz so that stuff interests me. You can send me a PM if you want
My AW is that we're having furniture delivered too (on Saturday) :-) It was an impulse Black Friday buy at JC Penney. We're converting our downstairs office into a living room (it's going to be my version of a man cave, but calling it a lady cave sounds dirty!) so I can watch tv while DH watches hockey. So, I bought a tv and a couch, loveseat, and chair on Black Friday :-)
Ritzy, congrats on the house! That is super exciting. We were going to build when we were looking at houses, but the timeline didn't work with me being pregnant. I'm guessing you'd be building by me, as it's one of the few areas I still see building! :-)
My AW is the same as Ritzy's
I am totally thrilled and cannot imagine picking a better/nicer neighbor!!!
My other AW is that I'm going to start working in the office again another day/week. My mom took a voluntary layoff back in Sept and has offered to watch the nuggets if I want to work during the day. I'm excited to get a little mid-week break and even more excited about working with my old coworkers again! Oh, the extra $ will be awesome too.
Corrine - congrats! that's very exciting news.
Ritzy - great job keeping the kiddos alive lol! And yay about the house!
My AW - I kept my kid alive for four months (and 1 day!) I can't believe how fast it's gone by.
Ooooh, how exciting!! Post some pictures when it's all done so we can oggle it!!
lol! I love it.
Awww... thanks my Dear. I can't wait either.
Yay for the extra work day too!!! I think it will work out wonderful for everyone and Jeff will be proven wrong. lol
I can't believe James is 4 months old already either. Holy Moly, I feel like you just had him. That new picture you posted of him on FB is so cute. He looks just like your DH!
I about died laughing when she said it. I think we're gonna' get shirts that say it.
I am SO jealous of you and Ritzy, I would love to live next to my BF!!! Congrats to both of you!!
DH might think I am too involved in the nest if I told him that haha. But it looks awesome so I may have to take into consideration...
This made me giggle, because DH and I were at Kohls a few weeks ago when he had a 30% off coupon and the doughnut maker was on sale. I wanted one. So he bought it right there and said he was putting it away to give to me for a Christmas gift. Lol.
Ooooh, how exciting!!! We can compare notes on the thing. It literally just got delivered and it was all I could to do put it away for Christmas and not open it on the spot. It looks like so much fun!
We ordered a couch, a big chair and matching ottoman. It's our "first big purchase" as married folks, so that's cool. And we were first going to get some stuff from Art Van and have a payment plan but then browsed their clearance center and found stuff half price and we paid in full, which is a relief, IMO. The furniture is a white-ish tan and super soft. Micro fiber? Suade? I'm horrible with remembering types of material but I love how comfy it is. [:
That's so exciting Sarah!!! When would it be finished?
You can definitely find some great stuff in the clearance section. That's awesome that you were able to find what you wanted and save some money too!
