Re: Finally Friday
I have the painter at the house as I type. I'm so excited to see how the room turns out. I can't wait to start getting the crib together and all the decorations up. I can also start bringing all the stuff my mom has been storing and put it in the Caroline's room.
I still have no idea what to bring tomorrow. Normally I would bring wine but... I guess I'll figure out something in the morning. I found my ornament last night.
This sounds yummy and I have a GC to go get one.
You'll share pics, right?
Someone didn't take her little old lady crazy pills. That's way worse than the one who tried to steal my shoes in the hospital.
I am not very happy with how my university handled the firing of our coach.
Only ten more working days. Hallelujah.
Saw that.
Not sure what all happened as I still in the stone age but from what I can gather, this would have been a wonderful addition to the police blotter...I love those things, they are so entertaining!
But yes, if she was 70 I wouldn't know how to react either.
Angie - I think so. I'm having Tiffany come over, so she can help me decide if my place will be big enough.
BL - Oh that's a good idea! If you don't mind.
I will PM you.
I hope Jack doesn't feel that way...hopefully you can do something at a later date with the 3 of you. Are you going for Holiday in the Park?
Yes, yes she will... riiiiight?
If I didn't already have something that a non baby zone I would have watched her. Granted I don't know how you would have felt about that...lol
Jaymi - We have CW like that. Very annoying. I'm sure your more then ready for the weekend break from her.

Yes! Jack's never been.
And bonus, I found a babysitter. So now Jack gets to have Mom & Dad all to himself. We try really hard, especially since he's so much older than his baby sister and she's with us during the day most of the time, to set aside these types of things once a month where he can have our undivided attention.
I'm super stoked!
In other news, I still REALLY wish I was coming to the painting party tomorrow. If there's ever a G2G on a non-Saturday, you can bet I'll be coming in!
Purchased my ornament last night. I just have to find the time to get it in the mail. I certainly like my draw better than last year.
And I fly out to Amarillo tonight. Praying the weather holds up and that H doesn't get into an accident driving to pick me up.

I LOL when I read this. Stephie, I never thought I'd hear you say that!
But so true. Brianna, she just sounds cray-cray.
I'm really excited, we bought a new tv on Monday and I get to go pick it up today. Yay!
Yesterday we had a small "re-org". No one on my team is losing a job or anything like that. However, our director that recruited me (we worked together before) basically got moved to a specific project and is "no longer making decisions for our team". I'm really disappointed at that. While he has his issues that drive us crazy, he is a visionary, fights for his team, and is always reinventing the business to make sure we are moving on the right path. Really inspiring person to work for, but for some reason has trouble getting along with other groups (probably b/c he is always proving that their business model is incorrect). Oh well, at least he is still around in some capacity. Thanks for letting me vent.

I thought she disappeared after the wedding, never to be heard of again?

Be careful! They are expecting some not friendly weather, according to my grandma. I'm actually from that area.
Yes I'll share pics! I will be posting on FB first because I know how to post there and then I will learn how to post on here. I'm hoping to get the crib together this weekend and get my first DIY project done tonight. I just hope it all turns out as cute as it is in my head!
my friday is starting to look like a monday. To start my morning off DH and i woke up an hour and a half late because our alarm didn't go off. So we woke up when we were supposed to be walking out the door. not cool!
I found my ornament at the beginning of the week! I was super excited because it was the LAST one they had, i was more excited that i didn't have to worry about waiting until the last minute to find one.
One of the dogs however broke it this morning in a morning wrestle over a stuffed animal. it was on the kitchen table laid out to be wrapped tonight. How they got it off the table i have no idea. annnnnd now i find myself having to go find an ornament - last minute
.
Oh no... that really stinks. Sounds like something that would happen around my house!
I really wish I could have attended PWAT with you ladies tomorrow! Unfortunately, I had already volunteered to help out with the kids Christmas party at DH's work. Which should be a blast! But I wish I could have hung out with you all too.

I went to starbucks, and they were completely out of the apple juice they put into the caramel apple spice.
I ended up getting a gingerbread frapp. I have to say, its pretty tasty.
I wish I could go, but living in SW Fort Worth doesnt really help.
I've only been to Grapevine once, and that was to go to the mall, and I didnt even drive, my BIL did.
Brianna - I was like WTF? I was thinking back over the last few weeks to think what I might have done or said to invoke a PM but all is well. She just wanted to share something she thought I might find interesting and the PM was overall very kind. N&M - you're okay in my book.
Angie - it went so well I nearly burst with joy. The guy before me presented and I hate to say his was a little snooze-festy...he read from the slides and people looked completely spaced. I started mine, didn't even once look at my note cards and spoke the full 20 minutes with most everyone paying full attention. There were tons of interesting questions and challenges after the presentation, so I know they had to be listening to have that much to say. I fully defended the stance against the panel of professors and the History graduate program director winked and smiled at me (in a kind, not creepy way...haha!) after I finished defending, so I think that was a good sign there.
Someone else was talking to me and there was something else I wanted to say but after that long paragraph I have forgotten. I will go back and read the post again and make another comment....
Lacey, yeah just shoot me a PM and I will stop by the store on my way home and get the stuff. Win win.
Thanks Brianna, I will check it when I get home tonight, I dont have the video free link to TK anymore and will get a nasty gram if I load the page with video.
Oh I know what I wanted to tell you girls, two things:
#1 - this morning I had Starbucks instead of breakfast and they handed me a bag with my drink. I told the DT girl that I didn't order any food and she said, "oh, it's a Friday treat, enjoy!" It was one of those new chocolate whoppie pies. It was good and so so cute with the white icing drizzle and little sprinkles.
#2 - I had a dream last night that I got to PWAT and opened the hatch of my car and found only sparkle dust in the bag where my ornament was. I have been paranoid about it breaking all week.
I have as well. i've had it since monday night - and the dogs oh so kindly waited until the day before PWAT to break it....
talk about anxiety for the rest of the day
LOL! I am only bringing brownies tomorrow I think because I am going to a show at the AAC tonight and found out it's not over until 10:15. So I will have to bake the brownies in the morning. EARLY in the morning.
Which means no Mississippi Sin Dip. Boo.

Leslie, Glad it went well!
Ashlee, that really sucks. I hope you can get something else. Don't you work close to downtown Plano? They had some cute ones at the little boutiques along 15th street!
Lacey, Thanks! H is driving from Pampa to pick me up and then we're driving back to his company housing. It's going to be late, which is the biggest thing that worries me. If it's looking bad when I leave I'm just going to tell him to stay in Pampa and I'll get a hotel tonight.

Should I just say eff it and assume the gluten free cake will be fine tasting (which it probably will be, I am always paranoid) and make Mississippi Sin Dip instead?
I used to - I got moved back to the building DH works at. So i'm in downtown Dallas again. I think i'm going to hit up garden ridge tonight after work. They are realistically the only place i can think that'd be open that late (i dont get off till 8).
I was walking out of the gas station at the same time this woman was walking in... I didn't see her, and said "oh, I am sorry, excuse me" and let her walk in. She mean mugged me and walked through, while I held the door... no thank you, nothing. So, I kinda chuckled and went on my way. I was putting the gas into my car and she came up on the passenger side and started beating my window asking me why I was laughing and what I thought was so funny. I didn't really know how to react and I said "hey lady, don't hit my car like that!" Well, she proceeded to walk over to my side (where I was standing... on the outside of my car), shove me, put her hands in my face and she called me an "alien shiithead". The lady pumping gas next to me just stood there in disbelief, kinda like me. Finally, I told her (after her continuing to scream and call me names and put her hands on me), that I would call the police if she didn't back up and leave me alone. She said "ohhhh, you think you're so tough" and walked away.
It was interesting, to say the least.

I think if you asked us to vote between gluten free cake and something called Sin Dip, I'm thinking the dip wins hands down. Just a guess.
