Re: Anyone still here?
Ahoy!
i think I have most of the recipes I use on Pinterest already. Any kind in particular you're looking for?
I'm making gumdrops right now.
My Fat Chick Blog
My favorite recipe is for molasses spice cookies. Does that interest you Steph or Anna?
Anna, yum gumdrops! I feel like baking today but I'm sick so that's not going to happen. I'm sure my H would appreciate coughed on cookies, right?
Ones that will mail well?

I'm making cookies like that this week! Lebkuchen specifically. I just got home from the store with all the ingredients. Including the candied lemon peel, rum, molasses, and some fresh spices because I'm already running out.

Yes to molasses cookies!
Random conversation- we had a chimney sweep come out (finally) yesterday, so I wanted a fire today. H is trying so hard, but he's not getting it to start. I'm mildly impatient.

i think spritz mail the best but sugar cookies, peanut butter blossoms, and icebox cookies all mail well. I haven't had much luck mailing those wreaths made from corn flakes with the green food coloring. But then again, I kinda suck at making them. Either too dry or too squishy.

Why cant I respond unless I quote.
They are delish Steph. The B&B we used to stay at in Napa would have these on your bed when you came back in the evening.
You have to hit "reply" (should be next to "quote".) There is no text box. TN is weird.

Well duh! I dont think I've ever been on the nest.
And how do you upload a picture?
This place is odd!
I think you're right. Lame.
GUYS. It's snowing outside, we have a fire going, and the puppies are napping together at my feet. We decorated the tree earlier. I'm so damn happy and content right now. It's super sappy, but this is kind of exactly what I dreamed about when I pictured us buying a house.

Sounds to me thats the kinda thing Nat King Cole was always singing about.
HOLY CRAP. Look at these! http://tiny.cc/m6owz
I'm trying to find blinds for our house, but it's a PITA. All of our windows are super wide (like 55-60"), but short (40-50"). So it's super expensive finding blinds that wide. Anyway, check out those awesome blinds on clearance! I think I'm going to buy like 10 of them and redo the whole damn house at once.

That's adorable! I picture that kinda stuff too.
Hi ladies!

I love butterscotch gingerbread cookies at Christmas. They mail well as they stay moist (gag at that word) for at least a week.

Yes ma'am! It's been raining cats and dogs all day (I'm actually back home in Rapids for the weekend). Alex is up at the cabin hunting again and he said it's been snowing all day. The snow is supposed to start soon I think. It's gonna be a hoot driving back tomorrow morning...
yay smileys! can we petition to get these over on TK?
Teachery Blog
Oh yeah. I forgot you're from Rapids. So close to my hometown! (Marshfield).
Where's your cabin? One of my friends has texted me about 5 times today asking for weather updates. He's at his cabin... down by Winona. sucka.
Eat.Drink.BeMarried. Blog.
You're from Marshfield? How did I never know this? What year did you graduate high school?
The cabin is in Gleason which is just north of Merrill. The radar is crazy right now. there is a pink line that separates the rain and the snow and it's not far from Marshfield.. so it's about to get gross here I bet... I'm heading to a wedding reception in a bit to check out the DJ to make sure we want him.. I'm hoping it waits to get gross till I'm back.
Teachery Blog
Yup! I don't know? I thought we talked about this before. Maybe I've always just said "Central WI"... I graduated in '04; do you know anyone from Marshfield??
At least Merrill isn't too far from Rapids! Could be worse- could be in Northern MN like everyone else's cabins.
Thanks, Reddy

Nope, not too far from Rapids. I graduated '06, so not too far off from one another. Do you ever come back to Marshfield? You should let me know when you do, we could g2g! I honestly don't know anyone from there. I didn't hang out with people outside of Rapids much
