What should we do for my birthday?
My birthday is 2 days after Christmas, so it's always kind of a crap shoot to find a good day/night for it, plus I try to be budget-conscious for everyone who just dropped all their money on the holidays. So typically I just ask for dinner & a cake at my dad's house and we all congregate there.
Except this year I'm feeling like maybe trying something else. I still want to be economical for all, but I'd love to go somewhere fun, festive (holiday-geared) and a bit more special.
Any ideas for anything like that? I guess I'm not thinking just a dinner out, but maybe something interactive?
Re: What should we do for my birthday?
Could you do Zoo Lights and then a fun dinner somewhere? Or maybe one of the dinner theater shows at Heritage Square (since they are Xmas related and I think a little more affordable)? Or you could go to the Botanic Gardens and do the lights there then somewhere fun for dinner. Or maybe go up to Evergreen Lake and go ice skating?
No more baby siggie pics. Boo.
We should go out for drinks. Oh wait, you mean with your family.
I second the dinner theater idea. When my aunts come to town, we all go to Heritage Square and everyone loves it. There are also kid-friendly matinees.
Or, there's that dinner-movie theater in Aurora (can't remember the name)
Chatfield Gardens has hayrides, or you could go up in the mountains for it: http://www.superpages.com/yellowpages/C-Hay+Rides+&+Sleigh+Rides/S-CO/T-Conifer/
Totally different, but you could pair this with meeting for dessert or something:
