Re: UO Thursday
Agree. I think it's creepy looking. What's worse: Adults with no kids or grown kids who have them.

Wow, that is really creepy! I know a lot of people who keep the elf out all year to keep their kids in line. They really need to rethink their parenting skills.
Yes! Elf on a shelf is effing creepy! I hate that thing and I can't wait to go a few days without seeing it on Facebook and pinterest.
I think the Christmas decorations on vehicles are cute, or at least no more tacky than inflatable decorations in yards. My dad used to put a wreath on the front grill of his work truck. Since he was a little bit of a scrooge in general, it warms my heart to think about his wreath (which I do every time I see something like that).
Elf on Shelf - Creepy
Car Antlers - Luv them! Sorry, I love anything reindeer oriented. I just luv those reindeers!!!
I have heard bits and pieces about this - do you have a link to it?

I threw up a little when I saw it. But then again, why am I surprised?
I watched 10 episodes of Glee and I just can't get into it. As a fan of musicals/theater/the arts I was surprised at how bad I thought it was. Maybe it is the characters, maybe because it is a bit "too much" but for whatever reason I just didn't like it.
I should add that I was in the Glee Club from middle school all the way until my senior year of college.
I love Glee, but I can't stand Rachel Berry and I fast forward through all of her songs. I love the numbers where Santana, Mercedes and Blaine sing the leads, though.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. Elf on a Shelf creeps me out, too.
Glee has been wearing out on me lately. I looooooved the first season, but all the drama reminds me of why I hated high school.
It's because - like it or not - there's a HUGE group of people in the US who vote based on religion alone. My grandma probably thinks this is the greatest campaign ad ever.
Disgusting strategy, but I bet it'll be pretty successful.
I usually vote on the most attractive candidate so that is why I am confused.
It makes me really sad that I am from Texas sometimes because there are people like this that live there. How does he keep being re-elected for governor?
For whatever reason this did not quote the comment amidavy wrote about the car deco.
I just watched the ad, and I'm horrified. Let's make all the gays start psychological treatment to turn them straight while we're at it. And the tomboys and boys who like playing with dolls? Let's nip that in the bud while they're young. Because that turned out SO well last time around.
I will say though... he's the first person to adequately sum up in 30 seconds why I am not a Republican.

Not ALL Republicans believe this. I am socially liberal and a Republican.
Oh, I know. I have a lot of conservative opinions too, and I know not every Republican is like Perry. Most aren't, I would like to think anyway. But it's candidates like him that I just can't get behind.

McG--my grandmas, too. And many other members of my extended family.
Puppy--might not be a bad voting strategy, given the candidates of late.
I cannot understand how he's considered one of the top Republican candidates. The man just makes my skin crawl. At least Herman Cain has dropped out. Hopefully Perry will be next.
Do only crazy people vote in the primaries? What about all the moderates he's alienating? At this rate, even if he did have a chance at the Republican nomination he'd never appeal to enough of the broader spectrum of Americans to actually win the presidency.
I don't even know what this is....
I don't tell my kids about Santa. The whole idea of Santa really creeps me out. I mean, some guy coming into my house, eating cookies and leaving stuff. Totally weirds me out.
I already to talked to C about the whole Santa thing if/when we have kids. I plan to tell them at a young age Santa is not real. When I was a child it was like a big let down when I figured out he was not real and I don't really see the point in having them believe in him when in fact he is not real.
