Good Morning, All! Happy Birthday Anna!
We don't have big plans for the weekend. We do have a family Christmas with DH's extended family on Sunday. It isn't my favorite event of the year, but I am trying to have a positive attitude about it.
We are moving into the new house this weekend! I have movers coming to move the heavy stuff (the furniture). The goal was for the movers to also move the rest of our boxed up stuff but it feels like we've barely made a dent since last weekend.
I wish I could be home packing now. By the time I get home, I'll be too exhausted to move. It's been a rough week.
Deepthi -- I didn't say it the other day, but CONGRATS on the new position, and especially on no longer having your insanely long commute!!!
We will have been together four years on the 15th :-)

I have to admit that I enjoyed our discussion yesterday. It was nice to talk about something that is not generally discussed. Different topics=a more engaged day.
I bought two pairs of Ugg-like boots last week at Target. I tried them on and thought, "Hey, these seem a little comfortable." I haven't worn them until today. I wish I'd gotten on this band wagon earlier. However, I am still not down with wearing these with shorts, mini skirts or other awkward clothing combinations.
After today, 5 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last day of class!! Finals on Wednesday and then a month off! I am going to coupon and finish our family recipe book and do 30 Day Shred again. Pretty stoked.

You must be right. Another girl is on the phone in the hall. She is in my class and had a baby three weeks ago. She just told whoever she is talking to she had sex last night. The person on the phone asked a question and she replied "no he is long gone, I hope I don't get pregnant though, it would be awkward to have two different fathers."
I couldn't make this crap up if I tried. I am going to have to go outside though because listening to her talk about getting pregnant again is making me a little blood boil-y.
Leslie- That is hilarious! That's certainly not what I would be asking :-P

I love this board, if for no other reason than to learn to words, like "blood boil-y."
That's a perfect way to describe last night - BIL was up to his usual antics. Pure hostility & disrespect toward MIL, which is not my business even though it was happening directly in front of me, in my home. However, when you storm out of the house and slam the door, it becomes my business, because in our home, we do not slam doors. I got mad over that, and J totally backed me up, which was sweet, but the whole evening has left a sour taste in my mouth and I'm still upset over it today. (Obviously there are bigger issues than door slamming, but it's just kind of the proverbial straw, ya know?)
Julie- When you wear these Ugg'ish boots, do you wear them with your pants tucked into them or with the pants over them? I saw these boots and thought about buying them, but wasn't sure how I would wear them.
Leslie- My husband in on UTA's campus every day for work. I need to tell him to meet up with you so he can bring home these interesting stories every night!
So I know someone on this board mentioned Virgin Diaries last week, but I can't remember who. I would like to thank this person! That was one of the most interesting, most uncomfortable shows I have seen in a long time!
You got that right. I couldn't even get past the 10 minute mark. Actually I don't even know if I made it that far.
I have a feeling that I'll be catching this on repeat sometime.

Yes, I did. It's making me feel a little ridiculous right now, I'm not gonna lie. However, several of my friends have said that it looks fine and so did Bill. Although, he's kind of required to say it.

Our campus holiday party is tonight. I volunteered to bring mac and cheese and a dessert I love to make, but Williams Sonoma was out of their cranberry apple relish, so I couldn't make it. =( I suppose it's okay. I was already up really late prepping the mac and cheese so I can just throw it in the oven this afternoon. I'm really sad because this is my last Christmas party in this district and H has to work all weekend, so he can't come. =(
Did you guys hear about this guy who hacked into his former employee's Facebook after she quit and posted obscene messages on a bunch of her friend's pages? Talk about crazy.

Also, what the hell was up with reclaimed virgin girl? You can't just re-virginize after getting to a number that requires two hands.
I also got a big time lesbian type vibe from the roommates. Maybe it was just because they were still teen girl slumber party-like?

Honestly, I am laughing so hard right now! You and my DH had a lot of same type of comments. The whole thing was just so awfully awkward!
Some comments from my DH:
-"Seriously, someone needs to talk to them (married couple) about being inappropriate." (In response to continual wedding reception mug down.)
-"I hate to break it to that girl, but she is not a virgin. She needs to find a new bit." (In response to the reclaimed virgin.)

Don't know the full situation since I didn't watch the show but I think someone can "reclaim" virginity.
I'm not allowed to tell this IRL but DH told me one of his friends is planning to propose to his gf. DH tried to talk the guy out of doing it. The girl is really rude and just kind of uses him. None of us really like her and his parents are against it too. I told him it's none of our business and at this point he's made his decision we have to just support it. It brought up a discussion with us on do you just support it after a certain point or make a point by not supporting it, what do you think?
