Re: 5 Things Friday
You're going to have so much fun!! I can't wait to hear all about it!!
That's unreal!! How thoughtful.
He's a man, so chances are that he will most likely play the "I'm tired" card. lol
I bought DH a big tool chest one year as well. I just left it right in the garage and kinda' did my best to wrap the fronts of the boxes so I didn't use ten rolls of wrapping paper. I just led him to the garage that morning and had him open his eyes.
Ugh. I don't blame you! I would be disappointed as well. Will you be able to enjoy any of it or are you gone for the entire party?
I feel the same way Stephanie. I really need to go to the store and do some errands, but the thought of trekking around in the snow with two kids in the cold just doesn't appeal to me. Most of it is just pure laziness though. lol
If it makes you feel any better, I didn't technically eat breakfast until about 12:30 today, which is just sad considering there was really no reason why I couldn't have eaten earlier.
I love spending time with my Mom, especially around the holidays when we bake cookies, shop, etc. Does she live close to you?
Have fun with Hubby tomorrow!!
Aww.. I'm sure another dog will present itself!
Definitely enhances the Christmas feel! Hope everyone is better soon!
1. Sometimes I think I talk too much.
2. I'm not sure I really even care if #1 is indeed true.
3. I really enjoy wrapping presents but for some reason the last few years I've waited until the last minute to do so and then I don't enjoy it as fully.
4. I know it's asking a lot, but it irritates me when Emma is super noisy and wakes Lily up from her naps.
5. I wanted to go to Target today and return something, but unfortunately it's in DH's trunk...and he's at work.
1. I'm so happy it's Friday
2. Our internet was out at work Monday-Wednesday so I've spent the last two days catching up on all the work I couldn't do. I'm finally caught up!
3. DH and I are going to put up our Christmas tree tonight. I'm very curious to see how Bella (our cat) reacts to it. I really hope she doesn't knock it down!
4. For the next 3 weekends, we have to travel to Kzoo for family related events - niece's bday, family christmas, actual christmas. I am NOT happy. God forbid they should plan the birthday party and the big family christmas on the same weekend.
5. Is it 5pm yet?!
Why would you say that, just because you replied to all our responses in this post?
The party is only 2 hours long, and the meeting is right in the middle of it, so I will indeed miss the entire thing.
Get a water gun ready! My cats were horrible around the Christmas tree when they were kittens. I thought I'd never be able to put up a tree! Now I have a system where I set up the tree with no ornaments, lights not plugged in, for a few days and wait for them to try and climb it. When they do, I squirt them with water. It doesn't take long to develop a negative association with the tree. And then they usually leave it alone for the rest of the time it's up! Good luck!
I hate returning things. The standing in line, dealing with crabbing customer service people, blah blah blah. I have a few things to return myself and I'm dreading it.
Tell him to suck it up, you've been w/them all week w/no help. Or tell him "yeah, sitting in that plane sure is tiring!"
Luckily my DH misses the kids, so even if he's tired, he jumps right in to do baths/bedtime.
I'll definitely try that. We didn't put up a tree last year because we didn't want to deal with it. DH tried to say we shouldn't again this year and I asked him if we weren't going to have a tree for the next 15 years because we have a cat. He finally saw my logic and agreed to try. :::crosses fingers:::: that this goes well!
Hahaha
DH says the reason that he doesn't talk a lot is because I don't let him get a word in.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step toward recovery!
