Most of you know I had to put down my cat, Socks, yesterday. She had massive renal failure and she died as soon as they administered the drug. They could have given her some very expensive treatments but they would have only given her a day or two at the most. We still have Sally, but it's already starting to feel a little empty at the house. I didn't sleep very well last night and this morning I feel like a zombie. I may take off tomorrow or Wednesday to have a restful day.

I'm sorry Julie! I know how hard it is to lose a pet :-(
I had such a hard time getting up this morning! And now I am so unmotivated to work. I just want to get through this week and next so I can have my two four day weeks!

I'm sorry to hear about Socks, Julie.
I don't really have anything but I'm pretty sure you can see my bra through my shirt.
We were watching a lame/very predictable Christmas movie last night and while DH was out of the room I paused it but got tired of waiting on him so I was going to check out the news because I thought it was recording. It was not recording. I'm sure we missed the evil lady getting a broken nose and the couple getting together.

Julie - I am sorry for your loss.
The good: My mom got engaged on Saturday. Her fiance proposed at a winery and gave her the biggest/clearest solitaire diamond I've ever seen in real life. She is over the moon and will be doing a small wedding/reception in April.
The bad: DH leaves town today for two days. The most two important days of the month for us sadly. I was kind of hoping for that miracle child before the infertility doctor. It seems unlikely now.
The ugly: I don't want to go into too much detail but if you guys can offer up the biggest prayers and juju you have for my family over the next couple of weeks I would really appreciate it. We had something very bad happen in August of 2010 and today and the next two weeks will decide the fate of one very close family member and his wife and children who are very, very near and dear to my heart.
Julie, so sorry for your loss, I'll keep you in my thoughts.
Leslie, sending lots of good vibes your way.
My eye has been BURNING all weekend. I took my contacts out on Thur and have had glasses on ever since and I just dont know why they hurt so bad.
Congrats to your mom! How exciting! Also, a late congrats on your DH's raise and bonus.
I just saw that post today. I'm sorry DH will not be available to make this your month. Lots and T&Ps to you and your family.
You need to go get this looked at. You can have some debris in your eye and you don't want that. Is it itchy as well?
Leslie - Prayers and vibes!

BL - I hope your eye gets better! I saw your posts on FB this weekend. I HATE eye trouble.
Another couple of good/AW things because I could use them: I found out the place we are going on Thursday has a spa! I thought I would just be spending Friday in the hotel bored while DH was at his office but he said I should book a spa day instead. Wooooo!!!
I bought my BFF the cutest bracelet for Christmas this weekend as a rememberance of the awesome time we had in Vegas and her "getting lucky"..haha. It has these charms and the green and silver repeat on the other side of the dice. I hope she loves it.
Julie, I am so so sorry. Big hugs for you.
Jaymi, classy.
I think we've all gotten to work and realized that at one point or another!
Leslie - Yay, boo, and fingers crossed/T&Ps sent.
BL - they make some OTC eye ointment that feels amazing when you have a scratch or something... but you can't really see through it, so you can only use it at night. I can't think of the name of it, but you could ask a pharmacist and they could tell you. That might give you some relief until you can figure out what's causing your eye issues.
I had a fantastic weekend. Finished my big project Friday at 5.45 and did another painting gig with my sister (at a different place) - perfect ending to a crazy week. Saturday I shopped a little, crafted a little, and then had such a fun time at our neighborhood Christmas party. Sunday, all the girls in the family came over for a massive cookie baking day... we think we made about 150 cookies, plus some chocolate dipped goodies. We had munchies and wine and it was really fun! Then my parents took us all out to dinner before they left town, which was delicious, but I wasn't very hungry from all the cookie dough, so now I have a delicious lunch for today too! Now, I have 5 days to get through my to do list at work, and then I'm off until the new year!!!!
You guys are sweet.
I wondered what would happen since the TK/TN vote is so split this year! In the past, that's made the difference in the winner. I guess it's a free for all!
Leslie, praying for you and yours.
Julie, STILL praying for you. I thought about you this morning, because I know the first morning without someone you love is always the hardest. I think you'd be fine to take a day or two off... you work hard!
BL, I'm so sorry you're still having problems with your eyes. I've been there, and it really seems like there's nothing more rotten than your eyeballs hurting.
No B&M for me today. We're about to hit the road again. Two nights at Great Wolf Lodge with our kids and my parents. I think we're going to see ICE at the Gaylord, too!
I'm so enjoying this jam-packed but completely happy-packed December.

No real B&m's this morning for me.. just a little nervous for surgery on Wednesday, but DH will be there and then home to take care of me
right in the middle of a busy week. but, hopefully it'll all work out.
OH! DH is searching for a new job, bc his is just not working out. There's one mgr there that just doesn't mesh with him, so we are scouring for better places for him. 8l
