Re: let's talk baby names!
DD has a book of them related to a tea party. Max is very mad that he's not invited so he puts fake spiders on the tea cakes and scares the girls away. Sorry for ruining the plot, you would have found out eventually!
I have so many issues with Max and Ruby. First, like you said, where the F are their parents. Second, Ruby is a giant b*tch. All. the. time. to Max. I wish I could throat punch her.
That is plenty of time for #5, especially with all that VS!
And whiny. They are soooo whiny.
I know what you mean about 'ethnic' names. It can be risky. Of course, so can Lux or Lars!
We have quite a few names, all carried over from this past baby.
Girls: Clara, Claire, Lucy, Samantha (All middle name June)
Boys: Joshua, Jacob (no not because of Twilight), Samuel, Benjamin ( middle name probably John)
Names are just that risky.
L was my great grandmother and Angelin(a) was my maternal grandmother.
If it's a boy, it will probably be Daniel Charles or Charles Daniel, after both of our maternal grandfathers. nn Danny or Charlie, most likely. Daniel was my grandfather, so I'm predisposed to pull for that one, but we'll see.
We haven't really talked about girl names yet, but my current favorites are Claire and Reagan. I know Claire is pretty popular, but it's below #30 on the 2011 baby name list, so I'm okay with it. Don't know about middle names.
Our last name is Italian and starts with an A, so no names that end in an A sound, which is harder than it sounds. Those of you who know my last name, please feel free to chime in on how the aforementioned names would work.
We haven't discussed too much since we're going to find out what we're having, no real point in debating two lists.
Eh, our daughter's name ends in 'a' and our last name starts with 'A' . I think it actually flows nicely. But that's just me. I know many people with Italian names do not care for that.
I like both boy names and think they'll both go well with your last. I think both girls could go with it fine too but for some reason Claire sound a wee bit better.
My first name and maiden name end in "a" it works.
I may or may not have told DH that if we have a boy, we can name him Constantine.
Still trying to work my way back from that one.
I hate this show, and Ruby the bunny
All I can think about is the Devil Went Down to Georgia song by the Charlie Daniels Band! Of course no kid born today will ever get that so I think youre still in the clear with that name, but now that song is stuck in my head! haha.
I love the name Reagan but feel much less positively about the former president so I cant do it.
LD, when we were pg with Charlie and I told MIL our name options, she made a face at Charles. Of course that made me want to name him that more. He is named after my uncle who passed and my dad, plus I just love the name
We always wait to officially name the baby when they are born - I need to see them first. We also have a much harder time agreeing on girl names - they are so hard for us.
If Charlie had been a girl he would have been Elizabeth Rose. We can't use that name anymore but I love it.
If we have another one, the boy names are James Matthew (nn Jamie) and Shawn Christian. Right now for a girl I am lobbying hard for Anneliese Marie (nn Annie). mr. eagles is starting to warm to it

DD 7.11.09

LD -- it would be super awkward for you to name your son Michael when L is promised to a Michael.
Oh, girls names. My current three are Claire, Nora and Hattie. Hattie is probably donzo -- there are currently at least two Hattie's at the Treehouse, and Tori Spelling just named her kid that. Hattie is this month's Harper.
I love Claire, but in my head, I always hear it as Gloria says it on Modern Family, and I know I would do that in real life.
Also, I love James. Love it. I'd consider using it. I have an intense dislike of Jim or Jimmy, though and I fear those are unavoidable.
Alsoalso, speaking of nn's. My daughter has been in 2 dc's and they both have attempted to call her "LOOCH". I've had to put the kibosh on that shiit twice now. It's awful.
I'm obvs bias so my vote can't count.
