Re: Randoms/confessions/vents
my mom sent S one of those recordable books and I cried listening to it. Seriously BEST PRESENT EVER!
I agree! My parents get C one every year. This year for his B-day they got the Charlie Brown Christmas. We just had a family party and they had everyone record a page. He LOVES it! Both sides of the family reading him a book....best.gift.ever!
I have been seeing a chiropractor and I haven't felt this good in a looooong time! I'm so happy I decided to go.
I've had several people lately ask me if I've lost a lot of weight. Nope. Not one pound. Don't know what's up, but I'm fine with it! :-)
I have 24 of the most energetic, awesome, and tiring kids ever. I love them them all. Seriously. Coolest kids, but when you put them together they are so much work. I spend my day just pulling on the reins, trying to keep some sense of order. 24 kids is too much. I can do it, but I'm hoping for a slightly less active group next year. Last year was amazing. I got spoiled. Forgot what it was to work so hard. ha!
Amelie is so close to walking. She'll walk with her little walking toy but doesn't have the guts to do it on her own. She's growing up way too fast. I love this stage. The world is starting to open up to her and it's so awesome to watch.
I'm not finding a good place for Owen next year. No private school will take him because he's sped. Daycares don't provide the structure he needs to keep his forward momentum. They definitely don't have the services he needs. I can pay for private stuff but what he needs are services in the natural environment, not privately. This is not good. He's not ready for kindergarten. The only thing that's making me even consider it is the highly structured environment coupled with pretty hardcore sped support available. Fhukin a.
I am finally reading The Help, and while I find it a good read, nothing really compares to the way I felt while reading The Hunger Games. I so loved that trilogy, but it has made other books less enjoyable
I bought a few gifts for the kids online yesterday. They won't get here until after Christmas. I haven't bought any other gifts yet...also don't have the tree up yet...eekk!
I am about to lose it with E. How do you keep her from taking off her clothes and diaper when she's supposed to be sleeping? She took them off three times within the first hour of bedtime and peed on the floor once. She took them off again some time during the night. She was crying at 4am and was naked on the floor. She's not really that interested in the potty. She's used it successfully twice, but then she plays in the pee. Ugh!
I tutored a guy for his college algebra class the other night and it just made me feel so alive to be helping him learn.
I will have been gone for 3 bedtimes this week & DH has been so fantastic about taking care of the kids' dinners and bedtime all by himself. He's so awesome.
