It's Friday Night and I Feel Alright
Re: It's Friday Night and I Feel Alright
Julie, Rascal is so pretty. When Ben moved in with his 2 cats, we just let them all out and let the chips fall where they may. It was rough for awhile but everyone adjusted.
Chelsea, so sorry you are sick. I can't believe I've avoided it thus far. Knock on wood. We are a small office so everyone just passes stuff around and everyone takes their turn.
I woke up with a migraine in my neck--I totally jacked it up sleeping wrong or something. I had to bring my bed buddy to work with me today. I can barely turn my head.

Julie - I LOVE Rascal! He's so cute!! Your ILs are something else.
Jaymi - I'm so happy that they set a date! I just love them!!! He made me get a little worried that he would stray or break up with her with some of his comments on last season's episodes.
I have the crud that is going around now too. Sore throat and sinuses going nuts! I would definitely be willing to give this "hot toddy" a try!
I was up until 2:00 a.m. working on a diaper tricycle thing for one of my dad's co-workers. He drew her name in their gift exchange thing and he said he barely knows her, but that she is 6 mos. pregnant. I don't think he realizes how expensive those things are to make (definitely over their spending limit for the exchange), but he NEVER asks me for anything and we have a somewhat distant relationship so I was very happy that he came to me to help him and that he was proud of it.
P.S.: I had to make it gender neutral, which was kind of difficult, but it still turned out cute!
Brianna - That seriously brought tears to my eyes. It makes me so happy when people are so nice to others.
Angie - I'm far from normal, but I think I turned out ok.
What's a Silhouette?
At least your husband didn't "wrap" your gifts in a Victoria's Secret and Coach box.
In his defense though, he chose the gift wrapping option and that is how they came "wrapped." Oh well, at least the third one will be a surprise!

Deepthi -- It's called FIV, and it's pretty bad. We lost a cat to it once.
Chelsea - I am sorry you don't feel well.
Everyone else -- I am so glad it's the last day of school.

I wouldn't mind that one bit!
The first year we were married, Bill paid for Amazon to wrap any presents that he bought from there. Their idea of gift wrap? Put it in a blue box with a printed on ribbon. It cost a couple of dollars per gift. I told him not to waste his money any more. Oh, and the one or two times he got me a Coach gift, he let them wrap it too. The dead give away though was that he even left it in the shopping bag to give it to me.
We've been thinking about getting another kitty, and I never knew that you're supposed to keep them seperated for 2 weeks. We figured we would just let them have it out on their own.
Your kitty is so.freaking.cute! Mine saw me looking at the pic of yours, and started giving me LOTS of attention. I think she was kind of jealous
Are you getting your kitties anything for Christmas?
I have had a very productive day! Been up since about 5:30. Went grocery/Christmas shopping,(I HIGHLY recommend going to WalMart at 7am) GameStop for Stephens Star Wars thing, cleaned house, in the process of doing laundry, fixing to take the truck to get washed and vaccuumed out, and I'll be making spaghetti and meatballs tonight for dinner for Stephen and a guy he works with. WHEW!
Last year, in memory of my mom, we took 13 angels off the Angel Tree. It always broke her heart to see that so many kids might not even have one gift at Christmas. It was probably one of the best things I bought with part of my inheritance.
Courts actually gave me my birthday gifts in a gift bag this year! It was huge for him - usually my gifts come in the shopping bag, lol. My sister gave me my birthday gift in a huge reusable shopping bag from Williams-Sonoma, but I really didn't care because I LOVED what came in it!
LOL, Julie! Men, gotta love 'em.

LOL, I reuse gift boxes all the time. I think H's last two Christmas presents have come in the same Jos. A. Bank box that I took home after a Christmas with his family.

Bri- you always manage to find the stories like this
they always make me smile.
Julie, Rascall is so cute!
Tiffany, I will be at bootcamp tomorrow am, this week has been crazy but nothing planned until tomorrow around 2 so I can definitely do bootcamp.
Chelsea, sorry you arent feeling good, I also agree with the whiskey and I like to add theraflu
I know yesterday was the bonus/raise and AW day but I have good stuff today but I got wonderful news at work that was completely shocking and unexpected and that is all I will say.
Matt is becoming permanent on Monday which is lovely.
The supervisors at our work are doing dinner at the gaylord tonight (company paid) and I have never been so it should be fun.
Matts bday is Sunday and I am excited.
LOL at men and wrapping. DH is a whole lot better at wrapping than I am, mainly because he measures correctly; I usually forget one of the sides somehow. If the item he has bought does not come in a box, he will usually go to the post office and get the free priority mail boxes and use those
We still have the boxes from our shower, LOL. Two of DH's gifts are in them this year! Even the tissue paper but this will be the last year they are used as they are looking beyond beat up.
BL, yay for good work news!
Oh no, Angela!! I am so sorry!

Oh no Angela! I hate this for you. T&P that things turn around and you get a new, better job ASAP.
Does anyone else see the irony in Bump Kathleen posting three times about the Maggie ad?
Oh no! Sending lots of T&P your way!
Aww, Angela, I'm sorry. Hugs to you!
That's terrible! I hope this gets resolved for you quickly!
<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v123/magicwombat/?action=view
Oh no!!

Oh man! that blows
I hope you find a new better one soon!
Thanks everyone. I big puffy heart y'all. I haven't told anyone yet because every time I think about it I bust out crying. I don't even have the heart to tell Daniel yet. "I'm sorry, but you married a failure." That's what I feel like right now.
I'm just gonna pray that I find a better job like Ashlee said, hopefully on day shift since night shift is killing me. At least I get the holidays off now. Silver lining and all, right?
And yes Julie, your new kitty is handsome!
Angela - I am so sorry! That is terrible. You know we're here if you need to vent more. About that attitude - you cannot let this define you. You are a wonderful, caring person, a hard worker, and you've got a great set of values. Just because you no longer work at that particular hospital, does not make you a failure - you are still the same great person you were when you got up this morning, with the same big heart... now you just need to go find another hospital that will let you use your skills to help people. It is a job - it is replaceable, so hang in there!
Stephie - it's like a Cricut, if you know what that is, only it doesn't use cartridges. If you don't, well, it's kind of like a printer that you connect to your computer, only instead of printing with ink, it has a blade and cuts stuff out. A lot of people use them for scrapbooking, but I don't scrapbook, so I wanted it more for decorating & crafts and stuff. You can cut paper, fabric, and this peel-and-stick vinyl that they make for it, and I'm SO excited to make things for around the house!
So, I just had lunch with my neighbor, because we work near each other. She is super nice, and I think we both want to become better friends, but there were just some long awkward silences at lunch, because we don't have all that much in common or know each other very well, and we're both kind of shy. Any advice for forging a friendship that you want to have, but that isn't really growing on its own?
Angela I am so so sorry, I will keep you in my thoughts!
Couldn't have said it better!! T&Ps for you Anglea!!
Leslie - I was thinking to myself "You're being annoying right now!!" with the same post THREE times!!!
Angela, I'm so sorry to hear about not only losing your job but feeling like a failure. You are not a failure and Angie could not have said it any better. I hope you are able to enjoy the silver lining as best you can. Do you still have your part time job?
Angie- I was thinking your silhouette was a piece of clothing! As for forging friendships, well DH and I are somewhat in the same boat as you are. It's been slow going because of the holidays and we've gotten together once but we see each other weekly for about 5 minutes at church but I plan to invite her over on Tuesday to hang out with some other people. Do you have similar hobbies? Is there an event you would like to attend and could invite her along with?
No, since it was technically with the same company just different hospitals they terminated my part time job as well. I didn't even know they could do that.
Again, thanks so much girls. You make me feel 10x better.
