Whatcha Doin?

Re: Whatcha Doin?

  • Whatever Anna, I was on FB before FB was even invented, :-P

I do remember joining FB, then joining MySpace, abandoning Facebook, then at some point migrating back to FB. I haven't been to MySpace in forever. I keep telling myself I want to get my pics off of there, but think I should just go ahead and delete the account.

  • Yeah I'm going on a deleting spree right now.  I thought I got it all.  It's crazy to see all this stuff from 5/6 years ago.
  • I like both. Netflix I watch older shows, like all the old episodes of SVU. There aren't any new seasons of TV on Netflix, but lots of old seasons. I watch my current shows on the cable and my old shows on Netflix. I would be fine without one or the other, but it's pretty fantastic to have both.

Eorea, you can get a new BluRay for pretty cheap I think. I wanted to get one for H for Christmas but he didn't seem interested.

  • I think I need to look more into this Netflix thing.  The main reason I have cable is because of Exercise TV on demand, which I recently heard they are getting rid of.  Ef that.
  • I was thinking about getting a new but this one is still new. At least to me. We just bought it this summer so it should still be working.

H already talked to Sony. They said it was Netflix but it obviously isn't. We are going to see if they will send us a new since it's still under warranty.

  • I keep trying to delete my Myspace...it keeps saying it'll be done, then I'll get an e-mail saying that someone wrote on my wall or whatever. RAWR
  • Eorea - You should still be able to watch Netflix on your computer.  Not as good as on the tv, but it's something.  I watched the first two seasons of Hot in Cleveland last weekend on my laptop :-)

Awesome. It is working on the laptop. I also think I might need to watch Hot in Cleveland soon. :)

I completely forgot about Myspace.  I don't even remember my password or anything so I just did a general search to see if I was on there.  There were two with my name, correct age, and correct hometown with no pics etc.  Do pages get deleted after a certain period of no use orrrrr is Myspace creepy?

yay!  I'm glad it's working :-)  Hot in Cleveland is pretty good; I hadn't even heard of it before it popped up on my recommended shows, and then I watched all of them in like 48  hours, haha.  Betty White is hilarious too.

Anything with Betty White sounds awesome to me. I'm excited to check it out!

  • So I'm browsing online for a sofa for our living room; I really want a white couch. I'm not really sure why, I just have this image in my head and I want it.  No one sells a white sofa!!  I can't seem to find one anywhere that isn't leather (not a fan of the look, feel, or maintenance of leather - esp. with a cat with all his claws).
  • You are brave.  I would love to have white furniture but between the dog, and well, myself I'm afraid it wouldn't last long in our household.

haha, well there's definitely a reason that I'm looking to put it in the living room and not the family room :-)  I figure we'll only sit on it once a month, if that.  And our cat is white so at least his hair won't show up on it like it does our red chairs.

We haven't had cable in forever. I don't miss it but I do miss the DVR. I usually don't mind not having cable but without my netflix life isn't fun.

I actually think it might my BluRay player. Damn you, Sony!

I have a Sony and Netflix wasn't working worth shiit for awhile.  It used to freeze ALL.THE.TIME.  Does your bluray need to update?  I think that might have helped our issues a little.  Either that or Netflix got its shiit together finally.  I was ready to cancel the streaming.

  • I think we did update recently but something went wrong because it messed everything up and stopped loading netflix. It's a real PITA! It was fine before that.

  • Kate- some places don't show all the colors you can order sofas in online.

I used to work at Z Gallerie and tons of sofas there can be ordered in white fabrics.  And they even have different white fabric options.

You might have to actually go into stores to look.  Not as fun, i know.

Note to self: Get a white dog. ;)

Yeah I'll have to keep looking.  We looked when we bought our family room sectional and living room chairs this summer (new house, lots of empty rooms to fill), and many local places only had the stuff in one color (lower quality, for sure).  Where we finally ended up buying it was custom and we picked the fabric, but the brand we liked didn't have anything white :-(

bahaha, it's only an advantage with white furniture.  Our comforter is a chocolate brown and it's impossible to keep hair-less

I hear ya.  I have a long haired mini dachshund and her hair is absolutely everywhere.  White furniture + her = bad combination.  We are looking into getting a new couch in the near future.  It will have to be something that wont make her black hair stand out like a sore thumb and is easy to get the hair off of.  And be stain resistant (that's for me).
