Where is somewhere you would love to go, but feel like you will not be going anytime soon based on any reason, like political climate, military activity, you traveling partner refuses, too expensive,or any other reason... ???

Thailand: This might be a completely unreasonable fear, I have a severe peanut allergy and its never really a problem, but so many peanuts are used in their dishes I am worried I will not be able to communicate this well enough to protect myself.
Egypt: I feel like this will clear up easily, and I have heard that it is still very safe for tourists, might give it a year or so.

Egypt - Hopefully in the next few years I will feel safe enough to travel there.
Seychelles - I have an irrational fear of pirates.
Egypt & Isreal -- mostly b/c I don't have the time & money.
We'd also love to go to Austrailia & New Zeland but aren't for the same reasons.
Patagonia is currently at the top of my list, but we already have a big family cruise planned for this summer and DH is itching to go back to Costa Rica. We're also going to start TTC soon, so if depending on how long that takes, that could derail any major travel plans for a while.
I would also like to go to do a safari, but given the cost of doing a nice trip and the reasons mentioned above, that one is also on the back burner for the time being.
I would love to go back to New Zealand someday, but it is going to take a very long time to save up enough miles to fly business class again, and I just can't imagine flying coach the whole way (especially since we were spoiled with business class the first time around).

Egypt - There's still so much unrest. Thankfully we're young and can wait it out.
Antarctica - We'd like to combine it with Argentina, so need to save enough money and have the time.
South Africa - DH doesn't want to have to deal with malaria pills while on vacation. I really want to go on a safari. I think I will eventually win, even if it's not until we're 60.
I would love, love, love to go to Cuba as well. My husband's aunt is going in a few months - they are basically flying into Jamaica, then taking a plane from Jamaica to Cuba. To each his own, but I had to give that a serious side eye.
The Maldives -- We keep talking about going the next time we have to go to India for a wedding, but I hate the thought of giving the government money. I think there are some resorts that aren't owned by the government, though, so maybe with some research I could find one that induces less guilt.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

Maldives, Seychelles, Tahiti-- too far/$ for the time/budget I have at the moment.
India (still far) plus H isn't particularly inclined. No idea why.
Yellowstone-- MT and WY as well. I can't really justify flying back to the States just for vacation (v. visiting my family) from a time and/or relative budget POV. I do hope to make it out when I move back to the States though.
Egypt and Israel due to conflict.
Seychelles/safari due to cost.
I have to say, I went to Israel a few years ago and felt totally safe. Unless there is more immediate safety issues, I feel it's just as safe as NYC and I work here every day.
To answer the first question, I'd love to do an around the world cruise I'm hoping maybe that's what we do to celebrate our retirement in the far off future.
Ditto. I have been to Israel many, many times and have never once felt unsafe. I even lived there and wasn't concerned.
I've been to Egypt, and it was a little spotty, but I'd go again now. I don't think that it is that bad.

I am going to Israel, Egypt and Jordan in April. I canceled a trip to Egypt back in 2001 a few months after 9/11, and I can't wait any longer! I have been keeping up on the Trip Advisor forums and it seems safe for tourists right now. Obviously we will postpone if things really go crazy.
I would also add Cuba to my list. I would LOVE to go back to Brazil, but I was just there a year ago. Dubai is also on my list, but it's super expensive.
Mount Nyiragongo in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
I would really like to see the lava lake, but I'm not so sure about visiting the DRC. Oh, and then there's the financial aspect of booking what would have to be a guided trek. (PS - I would love someone to tell me that it's safer and less expensive than I'm imagining!)
I bet if you went as part of a trip to Uganda and just hopped the border to Goma for the night you'd be fine. Once in Goma you could definitely book a guide for cheap.
Everyone I know in Goma says it's really safe right now. The question is will it be by the time you've planned your trip and land there
Oh and my answers are Yemen and Syria. I may get to go to one or both for work, but I want to visit them as a tourist.
Given our security restrictions on those countries if I do go for work I won't see a darn thing anyways. Office-gueshouse-office, maybe a trip to the market if it's safe that day

Norway, mostly to see the fjords, I have seen pics of that area and it's really beautiful

Galapagos and New Zealand due to pricing and time.
Jordan and Afghanistan for obvious political/safety reasons.
I would love to go to Egypt and although I've heard great things regarding crowds being down now, I doubt with the ongoing violence/strife taking place, I'll be headed there anytime soon.
A dream trip would be somewhere in French Polynesia but between the airfare costs and the overwater bungalow dream, a bit too expensive at the moment.
My H says he really doesn't want to visit the Middle East but I'm hoping once we've visited more of the places he's been dying to visit, he'll come around to the idea down the road.
