girl. i KNOW i want a girl at some point in my life, and i'll feel more comfortable to get it out of the way.

i'm not sure...i'm guessing somewhere around 2 months we will try to go to california to see his family.......if not, maybe 4 months?? we are also looking at hawaii at 5 months. it will depend once the baby gets here!

nothing out of the ordinary. i *miss* moms cooking though, a lot! but my mom doesn't really cook much...haven't much since i was in middle school.
i miss chinese food in general. don't get to eat it a lot, since it's not easy to cook, and getting to the grocery store is touch.

LUX. it's found in asian grocery stores for about 5x the price you buy it overseas, so whenever family visits, their job is to bring me shampoo

is it in the chinese tradition that a mother doesn't wash dishes for a while after the baby is born?? i saw something about it on a baby story..
any other traditions?
i started thinking about the numbers...i'm not sure if it's possible...2k in 6 in work weeks is a lot!

my IL's purchased a crib a few days ago...expected to be here in 7-14 days. we have a pack'n'play on our registry... and it's on sale today....contemplating on buying it!

yes and no. yes, because i think it will make the baby more "real" (it's still really unbelievable that i'm pregnant!!), but no, because it's awkward. i don't *really* want everybody to spend all this money on me. it's not like h and i can't afford it.

90% yes. i'm definitely going back to work for at least a little bit after maternity leave. and if it's an easy transition, i'll stick with it. if it's not, then i will high-tail it. we don't need the income, but it would be nice.

we don't do *any* thing. no chores at all for the first 30 days. *technically* i'm supposed to stay in bed and only get up for the bathroom (not even showers...)...my MIL is *supposed* to stay with us, in the baby room, and whenever the baby cries, she wakes up and brings the baby to me to feed.
i don't think we'll be that extreme....i think i'm being pretty "average" chinese-american by staying home except for dr appts. i don't plan on cooking or cleaning for the first month though.
