I love Winter break. The traffic is practically non-exsistant in the morning. Having no school shaves off about 10 minutes drive time, which is huge for me.
Re: Hump Day Randoms
She took 3- 4 oz bottles yesterday with us, and 4 oz this morning (but still not the 5-6 oz she takes when she's well). She still has a nasty cough too :-( Nick is home with her today. I can't wait for flu season to be OVER! Ugh.
I'm glad the baby is eating- if only just a little bit.I hope she's feeling better very soon.
I drove Bryan to work today. My first taste of 131. Not bad. We have a meeting with the financial planner/adviser in an hour and then lunch with a coworker and her husband.
After that, I should really do some homework-blah. I don't wanna! <insert pouting here>
Have a great day everyone!
Hello! I'm back home and back to work.
I had my white Christmas (even if it was just a dusting), so I'm happy. Seeing that snow last Friday evening improved my mood significantly. And it stuck around up north through Christmas too. Then it rained. Oh, well. At least it was white(ish) for Christmas.
Slow Nest + slow work = looooong day.
What should we talk about? There has to be something interesting out there...
Did anyone get any awful gifts?
It never fails, whenever I see something advertised on TV and say to DH, "I can't believe anyone would ever buy that," I end up getting it for Christmas from his mom! She gets us a ton of stuff, so I'm grateful, but some of the items are things I would never buy and usually end up regifting. This year it was these plastic things you put in the shower to clean your feet . . . as if we have room in our shower for two of these things . . . and are too lazy to wash them with a washcloth?

Last year I got the thing that supposedly smooths away leg hair

Ok....
If you had a baby tomorrow, what would the baby's name be? First and middle, boy and girl.
Bwahahaha!!! Too funny! We actually got one of these last year for the gift exchange game we played. It sat in the hall closet unopened for a full year. I regifted it at the exact same exchange this year with a Yahtzee game.
I got a pound of Starbucks coffee from FIL...that was already opened. Um...thanks?
Girl: Colette Elizabeth or Audra Jane
Boy: Benjamin Royer
LOL! I actually sewed snuggis for my MIL and our grandmas one year. They wanted them though :-)
Roads were EMPTY on the way to daycare this morning.
My run sucked. I couldn't get *close* to my usual pace.
Our new roof is going on today. It is SO LOUD in my house.

All I see is an orange screen.
I took a picture of a cheap comforter I wanted from Meijer, sent it to my H and said "If your dad asks what I want for Christmas, show him this. It's at Meijer, king size, $29.99."
I ended up getting a really ugly comforter from a different store in a different color. I think I'm going to give it to Goodwill. I don't know what else to do with it.
This is too hard. Haha. I think I'll go with the only girl name we've ever agreed on (which is what T would have been named if he was a girl.)
Boy: Leland Patrick
Girl: Annika Leigh
I just dont like how they dont close in the back
Girls names are hard. I'm not sold on Annika anymore. I love Antonia, Anya and Louisa. (Apparently I have a thing for the letter A. Beginning and ending. Ha.)
It's basically a bathrobe worn backwards. I'd rather wear a bathrobe the regular way instead of a Snuggi. At least I can wear a bathrobe around the house without tripping on it.
I never got into the whole snuggi thing. Blankets and bathrobes still do the trick for me.
Haha. I too have a thing for A-A names: Audra, Athena, Agatha (total guilty pleasure name, Aggie is so cute!).
I have a thing for R girl names as well. Renee, Raquel, Rebecca, Raven, Regina.....
We actually got great stuff this year; none of it has to go back except a pair of pants that MIL bought for DS (unless someone wants to trade me 3Ts for 4s??).
Everyone did a wonderful job picking things out for us. DH stuck to a list for a change, so no disappointment there.
And no duplicates, except for a few DS things (and who couldn't use a backup when it comes to some toys?).

My step daughters bought it for me so I think it's the thought that counts. I guess I will use it lol
Haha! Sounds like a similar experience with my mom. I found a sweater that I liked at Target and it came in several colors that I would be happy with. So I took the four colors that I liked, took a picture of them and emailed it to my mom, saying "one of these sweaters in one of these colors would be nice if you're looking for something for me."
She got me three, and only one of the colors was what I had sent her.
Still reminds me of those darn hospital gowns lol
I totally listened to Christmas music on the 26th.
And I don't have the heart to take the tree down yet. T loves the "Mawmoss tree".
I'm such a post whore today.
