Wednesday! Wednesday! Wednesday!
Re: Wednesday! Wednesday! Wednesday!
I am so ready for it to be Friday so I can get this week over with and start my three day weekend! I only get Monday off, but DH gets both Friday and Monday. I'm jealous!
Has anyone here ever done a cleanse? Do you have a particular one you like?

Natural Cycle (8/7/13)- BFP! Beta #1 (9/10/13): 509 Progesterone: 18.64 Beta #2 (9/12/13): 1118
I'm already ready to get back to REALLY working, and that's not a good sign. January and February are notoriously slow in my business because of the weather, and while I enjoy the downtime to a degree, it also gets a bit boring.
Luckily, the boring doesn't start just yet. We fly out tomorrow morning for a job in Deer Valley, Utah. I'm excited to spend New Years in the snow!
And Sarah, I've never done a cleanse. The idea of feeling completely drained while I'm on one is really scary to me.
Yea, I know what you mean! But I'm going to do a no junk food challenge and thought it might be a good time to try just a short cleanse. Like less than a week for the kind that cuts out almost everything. I just have no energy lately and am so tired!
And I'm jealous! I would love to spend new years in the snow!

I've never done a cleanse, and I never will. Your body cleanses itself naturally and I don't think it is a good idea to mess with that. Cutting out junk food is cleanse enough.
I'm in full 2012 vacation planning mode now. Wahoo!
Also, I'm 100 pages into Room. I don't care for it, at all.
Tiffany's right. Your body removes toxins on its own. With a cleanse, you run the risk of removing things that are actually good for you. Cutting out junk food should have the same result, just maybe a little slower because your body will do it naturally.
Tom Thumb had their seasonal creamer on sale yesterday, and I may have gone a little crazy. New lesson: Cinnamon sugar cookie creamer is deeeeelicious.

Chelsea, jealous of the snow! I kinda wish we had more here but I know no one knows how to drive in it so it ends up not being fun.
I've never done a cleanse. Some co workers did one and they said it made them feel less enegized after but maybe that was just because of the one they did.
I went to the dr yesterday for my 2 week check up and she checked me out and said I have a sinus infection. I knew I felt like crap but assumed it was allergies or a cold. I got some meds and I'm already feeling so much better. On top of all of that DH was AMAZING last night. He really stepped up so I could rest and feel better. He stopped by the store and got my prescription then he came home, fixed dinner, gave SD a bath, played a game with her, read to her and let me just lay in bed and read all night. He even brought me dinner in bed and checked on me often to make sure I had enough water, kleenex, etc. I was so happy. He has really stepped up in the last few months and it has a made a huge difference in the house!

I really want to read hunger games, I just haven't yet.
I have done a cleanse before and it helped me, so I guess it's different for different people.

It's so good. I downloaded it through Google Books on my phone, and it was like $5. Amazing. I started the first book on Friday and I'm a third of the way through the last book right now.

I had put a hold on it at the library, but the wait was ridiculous! How many books are in the series?

If you want to do a cleanse, maybe you should just try the cleanse you have already tried successfully. You may find that if you try a different cleanse, it may not have the same effect as the successful cleanse you have already tried.
I borrowed the Hunger Games in hardback from a friend but haven't started it yet. I know I'll like it, but I also know it's kind of intense and a little depressing, and I just haven't been in the mood for that.
Sarah, there's three. They're each 27 chapters, and it is a really fast read.
Chelsea, you definitely get sucked in.

Ive read hunger games before and love the series. There are 3 books and they are quick reads. I dont know why, but I didnt find them depressing even though the subject matter is intense. Actually maybe the fact that I read them on a beach in Mexico helped.
Tiffany, it took me until I was about 25% in to really want to keep reading and while I did finally get into it I will say it never became a fave book by any means.

DH works Friday, then is off til next Thursday.. MORE JEALOUS! I'm off Monday too, I think that's when we are tackling taking down the Christmas tree.
This past Monday off together, we tackled rearranging/organizing/cleaning out our office slash art studio. It looks SO GOOD NOW.
This is my next set i want to delve in to. I got Fall From Grace by Jay Bekkar for Christmas from my brother, and I am SOOOO excited to get into it tonight! Maybe after, I'll do the hunger games!
NYE Plans:
DH's grandfather has his surprise 80th bday party in Lexington, OK on Saturday at 2pm.. so we are driving up Friday night, staying at a hotel, then going to that Saturday. AS SOON AS it's over, we are hauling back to Coppell, to shower/change, and then head out to Ft Worth with some friends. I think we are going to The Usual and then The Where House. I can't wait, those are my two favorite places in ftw.
I LOVED the Hunger Games series. I think I read all three books in less than 36 hours.
I first read Room about two years ago and was meh on it then. I just did a re-read for book club and it was still just okay...but we'll talk about that later.
Anna - I talked to BFF and they've got nothing right now but she told me she will call me ASAP if something comes up for you.
I have BBQ chicken in the crock pot and that is exciting. Also I cashed in our Albertsons stickers for a free Cuisinart waffle maker. Not too shabby a reward for just spending money on groceries.
ETA: there has been talk of making Hunger Games next months book club book. Just FYI for a no spoiler warning.
*sigh*
I'm not 100% sure what your sigh means but HG definitely doesn't have to be next months book by any means. I just mentioned it so people wouldn't drop spoilers in this thread.
Sigh just means that I knew this was coming, and I really don't want to read it. I won't hold you ladies back though.
No one is trying to force people to read books they don't want to read, so we come up with other suggestions and read something else. It's NBD.
I just called AT&T to cancel our home phone and it was the most painless thing ever. I was shocked.
Tiffany, I read Room twice. While I can't say I necessarily "liked" it, I am excited to talk about it.
I'll be out on Hunger Games probably.
Ugh, today was the first day back to the gym after the holidays and it was tough. We have to have Hanukkah dinner tonight and I've already told Ben don't expect me to eat much. I'm done.
Leslie, I would have killed Randall--you are a better woman than I.
I have been exhausted since Christmas Eve. I am really hoping I can catch up at some point.
With All the Trimmings
Just do it!
I read Room a while back and found it interesting. I wasn't happy with how it ended and like Stephie said, I am looking forward to talking about it.

I don't think we have any NYE plans. Ben wants to hang out at some friends of his that are having a low key cookout but I don't know them very well. I really want to just stay home.
New Year's Day I am cooking and having my dad over for the Giants game.

I didn't say anything about being forced to read? If we choose that then I will just sit it out. NBD.
I am having a rough day. I've been trying to kick it since this morning and it's just not happening. The monthly witch is here, someone was very rude to me and sentencing happened this morning in my uncle's case. His life is effectively over and though a crime does equal the need for time in jail and the sentence is fair for his crime, my aunt and cousins are being affected so much it makes me heartsick.
Sorry you aren't having a good day! :-(. Stupid rude people! And I'm sorry about your family situation :-(

Continuing to pray for you and your family, Leslie.
NYE: I think I'm going to a party some of our friends are throwing. H was supposed to come, but he's backed out to save money. =(
