Re: Can we do a cleaning poll?
I do the first three weekly, but we sweep every other day or so because of the dog hair and baby mess.
The fridge gets cleaned when I notice it's messy.
Mop your kitchen: 1x week
Vaccuum carpets: 2-3x week (have 3 pets)
Scrub showers/baths: 1x week
Clean your fridge: every other week or 1x month

I need to know how gross I am based on RE standards. How often do you -
Mop your kitchen: On Fridays, I take a wet rag and wipe down the main traffic areas. I full-on mop the tile areas of the house once a month.
Vaccuum carpets: Weekly, sometimes more.
Scrub showers/baths: Weekly. I'd probably let it go longer, but DD has bath crayons and we need a new slate pretty regularly.
Clean your fridge: Once a month - right before I do the big grocery trip.
mop - once a week
vacuum - twice a week
scrub shower - once a week
I refuse to answer the last question. lets say not as often as I should. unless you just mean throw away old leftovers, expired yogurt and such, that I do weekly before putting new grocerys away.
I think we're on the same page, you and I.
Vaccum 3 times a week.
Frig when it needs it
The rest the cleaning people do every other week
Bathroom every week
sweep floors every week
Cleaning lady mops and vaccuums every other week.
You stole my answer. This is why I'm hiring a maid.

That is one of the reasons we hired a cleaning lady, because we would argue too much as we tried to clean before company.
To be fair, we have company pretty often.
Mop your kitchen/Vaccuum carpets/Scrub showers/baths: once a week, more if needed (no pets or kids yet)
Clean your fridge: every few months maybe

Don't blame me when your house crumbles around you. I hear that's what happens to things that only get washed once a year.
Put me on team Wendy, Cali and Badger.
The only chore that gets done religiously is laundry. Everything else is when I notice it's dirty/feel like it. I do clean obsessively when we have company, which is fairly often--probably at least once every 3 weeks.

I bet cali's house smells like old vag.
Exactly, except add that dishes get done pretty regularly as well. I hope they're being done right now, because the sink was definitely full last time I saw it!
Lol
I miss my cleaning lady. I think my OCD cleaning is coming back (it had eased up a bit after being pregnant). Now I get twitchy when I see a few crumbs on the floor.
I feel that I am the opposite regarding company though. I hate doing a big clean on the house right before because it just gets messy again. I just do a quick clean (so, two hours instead of six) and then a big clean after they leave.
So, if you cleaned every other year would it last twice as long?
It took me a second, but LIZZING,

Coming home to fresh baked cookies AND a clean house. Who needs a maid?
Floors: sweep every other day in the main traffic areas (kitchen, mainly) mop weekly
Fridge: when it needs it...monthly?
bathrooms...tubs get wiped out with lysol wipes roughly 2 x/week. full cleaning every other week.
I didn't end up getting my cleaning lady back. She's on sick leave and her replacement is way more expensive. until i go back to work I'm stuck with me.
