Can we do a cleaning poll?
Re: Can we do a cleaning poll?
I'm riding the Badger/Cali/Wendy vacuum. Well, I would be if I wasn't the equivalent of a 50s husband who comes home to most of this stuff being done every other week.
When Bob is off every other week, we do some form of cleaning but a lot of the big stuff waits until company or well, his mom is about to visit. Mopping doesn't get done as much as vacuuming.
When he's working, the laundry and the dishes get done but I'll usually focus more on a small organizing project than on doing something like cleaning the bathroom.
Mop your kitchen: Once every week or every other week
Vaccuum carpets: We have all hardwoods but I vacuum the living room (including large area rug) and sweep the kitchen every day or every other day (I especially try to keep rug clean because that's where Isaiah plays). Other rooms get vacuumed once or twice a week.
Scrub showers/baths: When it starts to look dirty.
Clean your fridge: Empty out leftovers/obviously expired or spoiled stuff on garbage day once a week. A full-blown cleaning happens maybe once every few months.
::Climbs into Mashed's leftover-filled fridge::
This is totally me. My husband always complains about it but I feel bad for throwing out food, even though that is what I end up doing a few days later anyway.
Our old house was built in the 40s and was definitely like that. The baseboards never looked clean even if I had just scrubbed them with a toothbrush and bleach.
My plan is to repaint all the baseboards and window frames this summer because they are all scuffed and just look dirty. Shoot me now.
