I also have other personal reasons that I wish not to attend. My hubby an mil know the reasons, but apparently my feelings don't matter... Life goes on

Stop with the dot dot dot passive agressive poor me crap, it's really annoying. If you did not want to go, the time to fight the fight was back when your *** dh said yes because his mommy made him;and the fight should have been with him.

I agree with this and I would dread partying with you on NYE or any other time. You are quite the martyr. Make a resolution to grow a spine and to tell your DH to eat *** the next time he chooses his mommy over his wife.

All of this. If you didn't have it in you to make sure you weren't included in the "yes" RSVP, suck it up, go to the wedding and be generous enough to have a good time. It's not the bride and groom's fault you and your DH dealt with this poorly, and they don't deserve to have a wet blanket at their wedding.

  • I would love to go to a wedding on NYE.  In general, I don't like to go out on NYE.  We always spend the evening with close friends at someone's house.  I think it sounds like great fun.  You get to dress up, have good food, dance and drink without all the random crazy strangers and paying a hundred bucks to go to a NYE party at a bar that you would normally not have to pay to go to and deal with crowds so big you can't get to the bar!  Win-win!
  • Why not?? Its new years eve, its a nice party, you are celebrating a special occation.. whats not to enjoy?
Anniversary Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker Birthday
  • So how was the wedding?
