What's the best thing that happened to you in 2011?
There are so many relationship problem posts right now (yes, I know that's what this board is for) and negativity on facebook that I'm just wondering what good things happened to you this year?

You're going to have a hard time topping this year!
God saved my little brother's life from a head on collision. We celebrated his 26th birthday 3 weeks ago. I have a new appreciation for just how short our lives are, and I am so grateful for a walking reminder. I don't know where I would be (or who I would be) if I lost him.
H and I got married in May and that was fabulous. DD became a toddler and that's been such a fun time for us as a family.
We also got pregnant in July and October, and although they both had sad endings, I'm still incredibly grateful for the time I got to be pregnant and to love those babies. We were on Cloud Nine for every second of it. I hate the way my 2011 ended but the few weeks I had with my baby were wonderful. Hopefully next year will be better for that.

2011 has been sweet!
My husband and I got married in May (hi friendly face, 8days!) and then had a rockin' party in June with our whole family!
I became an aunt to an adorable lil girl!
My husband and I made decisions about our future that make me terribly excited. We spent an hour last night studying a map of London. 2012 will (hopefully) be the year we start the adventure we've talked about for five years.
This cracked me up for 2 reasons. One day I made cookies and was trying to be all quiet about it while BF was sleeping (he had worked nights). Instead something had previously spilled in the oven that I didn't know about and set off the smoke detector, which is on the ceiling right outside our bedroom. The cookies came out great, but I felt bad that I had woken him up.
The other is the chicken. I eat a lot of chicken but for the longest time I could not cook chicken. I could do any other meat, but not that. If I cooked it, I couldn't eat it. I'm glad I'm over that. Good luck!
2011 was kind of a fail year for me. Hospitalization for my crazy, quit school (although that was more of a good thing, overall), had to quit my job because I got sick, couldn't walk for a month or so, family drama...
But I did meet a girl that I hit it off with almost immediately. I don't have a lot of female friends. Being such a homebody means I don't meet a lot of people, and I am not hugely interested in new friends anyway, but an old friend of mine introduced us, and it's nice having someone to chat with. I'd honestly say meeting her was the best part of 2011.
H and I celebrated 2 years of marriage in June.
Our niece was born in July.
I went on vacation with my immediate family in August.
We got to have Christmas a week early with my immediate family including my sister & BIL who live OOS.
H just got a new job with a raise although he'll officially start said job in January.
I just found out one of good friends from high school is pregnant. It marks the end of an era because she's the first friend in our group to get pregnant. H and I are next.
Other than that it's been a ordinary year.
I'm looking forward to Marc 2012 when our lease is up because we are out of space in our 1BD, 1BA apartment. And maybe 2012 is the year I'll get a full time job. *crosses all fingers & toes*
I think the best thing was finishing my hours so I can apply for licensure (well, to take the first test).
I also have had some success with difficult clients and two of them let me know how much they appreciated me this year. I'm hanging on to those notes for all the rough days ahead.
We adopted Scotty and Sofia this year and they brought some much-needed energy and love into our lives. They don't replace Cleo and Angie, but they're wonderful in their own ways.
Switching BC and getting my sex drive back.
Haha yeah I did that this year too, feels awesome to want to have sex again.
I met BF and divorced EX, 2011 has been a great year and i can't wait to see what 2012 brings.
oh yeah and i finished my master's in Chem E and got promoted at work.
