Re: Tuesday randoms
Yeah new year!!!
Waking back up at 6am wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Though if I had to chose I would still have stayed in bed. I made it to the Y this AM and to the meat market. 1 last stop today and thats the library but they don't open until Noon.
Things will get better. Both Mike and I are sick too.
Ooo. I'm curious to see the responses on this. I'm saving for one, but I'm not sure what model :-) I've already got $70 toward it!
Good morning and happy new year.
I've decided to make some changes in order to make this year better. Primarily, this involves trying to improve my schedule and cut back on some extracurriculars in order to lower my stress level and enable me to be home more and spend more quality time with B.
Now if only I can convince B to make some changes too. His gloom is starting to get to me.
Kasa, does this mean cutting back on one particular big extracurricular? Ooh! If you're going to be spending more time with B, I hope he kicks the gloom, too. I know he has a rough time with winter, but it seems early for this to be the reason.
We still have a for sale sign in our yard. I emailed our former realtor to let her know it's still here. I don't want the ground to freeze around it. I just want it gone.
I have the special edition - it was on sale last year at BBB and I used a 20% off coupon. (that's also the cheapest way to get cups I've found). LOVE it.
Yeah, I intend to cut back my time at that big extracurricular by about 75%, which will require me to resign from one of my positions there. I can't handle it anymore. It's been way more stress than it's worth.
I think B's gloom is primarily job related. I am concerned about how winter will compound that though.
When is your house going back on the market, GRSP?
It's going to be a good year of changes. I'm looking forward to it.
I got off to a slow start today. H woke me up at 7:45 and asked if I was going to work today. Crap. I usually wake up at 6:30. I got to work at 9:25. Oh well. I'm in a pretty good mood. Hopefully nothing gets in the way of that.
Are you referring to any changes in particular?
Happy 2012, everyone!
I am working on figuring out exactly what my resolutions will be this year. I normally don't do them, but I think I want to give them a chance this year. I know one will be sticking to a cleaning schedule. Pretty exciting, huh? I am generally a "do it as is needed" person, but I find that everything comes up at the same time. If anyone has any tips or tools they like, I am open to suggestions.
Kasa - good luck with pulling back in the name of balance. It sounds like a great move for you.
Wop - I also got a new pair of running shoes. Hopefully getting to the gym is easy for both of us!
There's work related anxiety here. Here's hoping that situations improve for husbands (and us, too).
Our house will be back up before March 1. We're going to interview some agents at the end of the month, and jump back in after we find a good match.
http://flylady.net/ is really handy. I've started that method a few times ;-)
I'm hoping to lose at least another 25 pounds this year. Also eat better - I've been reading about herbs and hope to incorporate them into my diet.
nope, but I did just read about that in a book she recommended! Ask on her Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Urban-Ranch/212151492151961
she is so helpful
Aw, that would be a bummer.
Sorry WOP.
Thanks, Wendy. I'll check it out.
I love the first weeks of January. News of holiday announced pregnancies and engagements make me so happy!
Everything in our house is put away. It's nice having my living room back to normal. It always looks so much bigger without the tree.
