How was your New Year weekend?
We almost got into a head-on collision with a drunken idiot who tried to "enter" the exit ramp around 8pm on Saturday. We were running errands and after the near miss, decided to spend New Year's Eve at home. Other than that it was a great weekend! The little dude's 3rd birthday party was Saturday afternoon, fun, crazy, and loud. He had a blast, and his mom and I got along fine, and I'm glad we got to break the ice.
Not ready for reality to set back in though. We don't have another long weekend till Memorial Day!

I just got back from a visit to my parents. NYE was a family affair. We all got together with my high school BFF's fam. Good times.
I'm glad that you stayed safe. We saw a terrible wreck New Year's Day. It was so bad that the road was closed 4 hours later when we tried to come back home.
Happy birthday, little dude. That's so great that you got along with his mom. Did she like her present?
Hey Interro! Glad you are okay. There were a lot of people out on the roads on Saturday night who should not have been driving - ugh.
My New Year weekend was good, we just headed downtown to watch the "acorn" drop from a crane. It's really kind of silly, but it's something to do. It was 50+ degrees, the warmest new year's eve I can remember in NC and it was kind of nice! The rest of the weekend we just hung around and were lazy for the most part. We did book our wedding ceremony venue though so yay for that!

Our weekend was pretty good. We didn't do anything particularly special for NYE, but we did go out to eat lunch the next day at a new restaurant, which was nice. DH took an extra-day off work yesterday, so we chilled at home and snuggled, it was lovely. Now just waiting for the company that I'm going to work at to get my drug test back, and the New Year will be off to a great start.

New Years was fairly uneventful. I went to a party with a friend that ended up being in a large garage, full of hipsters. We left shortly after and said happy new year with the extended edition of The Two Towers. lol!
I've been busy winning friends and influencing people on the 3-6 Board.

Wow that is scary - glad you guys were ok. I think I would've stayed in after that experience too!

My NYE was fun. A friend had a party at her house and then we walked down to a bar near her. It stopped being fun when we got back to her house and I was taking care of the sick people who drank too much!

Hey There Interrobang! I am so glad that y'all weren't hurt by that idiot. What a close call! That is frightening.
We had a very quiet NYE inside with Abby. She woke up around 11:45pm for her last bottle of the night and stayed up to ring in the New Year with us. That guy singing imagine on NBC needs to be dragged out into the street and shot though. I thought he did an AWFUL job and I couldn't wait for it be over. :::shutter:::
We watched the fireworks (there is an amusement park near our house that does them. We get to see them for free haha over the hills) and then I drank my 3 oz of Champagne (I'm a lightweight!) and we all passed out.
New Year's day we just chilled out with a little buffet that we cooked. Just over all relaxation.
I'll be late to the party, but hehe here I come to play!
I played, too. I totally get what you're saying, too. Have a little common courtesy, and I absolutely agree that those that get so up in arms are looking for a fight. I NIP too, before I went and dried up, and I made an effort to cover up or find a quiet place, because I get that people have reservations and limitations on what they can handle. That cloudy person makes me want to throw things.
You mean Cee-lo Green? I thought he did a wonderful job, but I overall like him as a singer.
Interro, I too am glad you're okay and that you had a good time at little dude's party.
DH and I stayed home because we're both recovering from colds. We watched the ball drop live (9pm our time), I called my grandma & best friend to wish them happy new year, then we watched the guys jump the snowmobile and motorcycle, then we re-watched the ball drop and went to bed. Exciting evening. I did get DH to briefly do a 2-person chorus line with me when they played "New York, New York."
