That's the feeling I am getting. OP, you may not think you're suffering from post-wedding hype letdown but you really sound like you are. You just made a bunch of major changes and are now stuck with day to day life and don't know how to handle it because you expected something more exciting.
Most of life isn't a big exciting event ... it's life, and it's what you make of it.
Job situation is a non-issue. He is at the same job as before with a higher pay-rate thanks to the PhD so nothing is stressful on that front. He has been in the "adult real world" for the last 15 years and hasn't left academia, just took the next logical step in terms of getting the PhD for the pay increase and added accreditation.
Actually there are ZERO baby plans in the foreseeable future.
Thanks for being a total *** and not even addressing the topic of the post though. You must have a pretty sad life to have to act like a jerk to strangers who are asking people for advice in a tough situation. I feel really sorry for you!
Who are you talking to? Do you also feel sorry for her husband?
