Thursday evening Nest party
I've heard from a lot of people that they are only here at night and they don't post because no one else is around.
Except if there are a lot of people here, and no one's posting... well...
So, let's try it out. Who is around this evening, and what do you want to share?
I'll be in and out. I have a few assignments due tomorrow, so I'll be in the basement on my computer.

We just returned from our adventures out west (read: Christmas with my in-laws). Even though we got home last night, I wisely took today and tomorrow off from my in-office job so I could do some work-at-home tasks for my other, more flexible job. Good choice, Beth. Today has been very nice. Just me and the cats, who obviously missed me. And some tea, and leisurely writing.
Except now I'm starving, and XN isn't home from work yet.
Still not eating.
I can't complain, though, since I don't cook. This is the price I pay sometimes.
Dinner time! Wonder what we're having...
Greetings. I'm checking in while the kids finish their snack. We have to start bedtime in a few minutes.
We got the girls Nick Jr Wii fit and played it with them tonight. That is a great workout for us...some of those games really get them moving.

I wasn't really on today because work was crazy. So, I'm checking in now.
I had a yoga class late this afternoon. Bliss.
My new shoes which complete my outfit for my upcoming work event arrived today. I love them. They're shiny and blingy (for me). Tigers peer-pressured me into getting new shoes. I'm glad she did.
I had been avoiding for a long time, but really needed new jeans. We'll see if they pass the at home test too, or if they will all be returned.
I would avoid shopping for jeans and bras, too.
I found the one thing worse to shop for than jeans, women's suits. I bought one last week from Banana. Got a pretty good deal, but man that was time consuming and exhausting. Not to mention boring. A plain black suit made me want to fall asleep just trying it on.
It's semi-annual sale time at Victoria's Secret right now! That's when I get all of my bras.
Believe me, if I had had to wait much longer...oh yum. Would have hit the spot, since I'd been thinking about them thanks to the afternoon random thread. Cheddardogs...nom.
No, we had chicken kiev with sweet potatoes and green beans, which also hit the spot.
That sounds pretty amazing.
I am late to the party....but I am here. I have such a hard time getting on anymore during the day with Noah who LOVES the laptop.

I miss living relatively near Yesterdog. I love it on occasion.
I'd say keep them completely conservative, boring, and plain for interviews. Once you get the job, you can break out the flashier shoes.

We went to Yesterdog once. I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere and underwhelmed by the food. I really wanted to like it... but, no.
Good to know. Thanks. Some boring black pumps need to go on my "buy" list... That's the one area where my shoe closet is seriously deficient
I do not like evening Nest chats! You all lure me in, and now it's passed my self-assigned 9:00 computer curfew. At 9:00, I must begin winding down my brain so that I can get a good night's sleep on weeknights.

I've only ever had Yesterdog for free. At my former job, some people adored it and would have it catered for lunch. I like it, but wouldn't go out of my way to get it. My favorite hot dogs are Chicago-style and I will sometimes go out of my way for those (there are a few places around here where I can get them, and of course whenever I'm in the Windy City).

I totally did the same thing when I was working--if you are lame, then so am I.
And ditto on being lured in! How did it get past 9:00 p.m.?
