A Beyonce related question...
Re: A Beyonce related question...
lolz!
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
There could have been babies that are on extended care. They couldn't evacuate NICU just because the birthing suites were rented out.
ETA - So, is their kid in the NICU? I don't care enough to google.
That makes sense. I guess I was picturing multiple floors. So, if a woman went into labor this weekend and was supposed to deliver at Lenox Hill, she just got sent elsewhere?
That's what I've been wondering. How does that even work? My OB only delivers at one hospital. So if women had drs like that, would they need to use a different dr? Or would their dr have to get special permission to deliver at this other hospital? If my baby birthin was messed up because some stupid celebrity decided they needed the whole hospital to themselves, I would flip out.

Yeah, what if it was a Mouse type superbirther? I can't imagine the potential lawsuits if a baby was born on the side of the road because they got turned away from their hospital for Beyonce.
I got this from my gossip source:
Beyonce may be getting SUED! Sources at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC tell TMZ ... the mothers have been gathering at a breastfeeding class at the hospital ... and in between latching techniques, they've been griping about the way they've been treated during the celebrity lockdown.
We're told the mothers feel they've been "neglected" by hospital staff ... and now they're discussing the possibility of filing a lawsuit against LHH. According to NYDailyNews.com, Bey and Jay-Z dropped $1.3 mil to seal off a private wing of the hospital ... with private security roaming all over the place. Our sources say several mothers have been seen arguing with Bey's security people ... accusing the hired muscle of being "extremely rude."
Still, we're told the mothers are not mad at Bey and Jay -- directing the blame solely at the people who run the hospital.
If so, that is just batshitcrazy. Seriously. What about prior registration with the hospital? What if your doctor doesn't have privileges somewhere else?
I had Andy when the Democratic National Convention was going on here. Due to traffic pattern issues, the usual entrance into Labor and Delivery was shut down and we were re-routed to another entrance of the hospital. I wasn't in labor when I went in for my c/s, but I was all nervous about the changes (sure, stupid, but whatever). If people have to go to an entirely different hospital, that would eff some stuff up for sure.
I like that I am getting all riled up about the logistics of a celebrity birth. And by "like," I mean am rolling my eyes at.
I think in Canada we have no celebrities because they know they can't rent out hospitals to give birth in.
That's why they flee to the US and breed there.
Well, to be fair, the US also has Hollywood, which is pretty important to celebrities. I was born in the hospital Blue Ivy was born in. I didn't know it was Bey & JZ worthy.
