I'm not going to have anything to do on my lunch break if the boards stay this tame. I've even looked at boards on the bump to find something interesting or dramatic to read, but my search has yielded NOTHING! I suggest we all troll the internets and post some entertaining things to read.
I had my 12w OB appointment yesterday and we still have two healthy babies in there.

Yay for 2 healthy babies!! I know you must be looking forward to beginning your 2nd trimester - almost there!
People kept asking me about baby showers so I took that as a cue to finally go get registered; which L was my happy companion to do on Sunday. I'd forgotten how many little things are needed for raising baby! And my eyes absolutely crossed at price tags; $125+ for a swing that the kid may or may not even like?!?! $100+ for an exersaucer?!? I think I'm in the wrong industry. LoL
There is an interesting debate going on in my BMB regarding maternity/welfare/$$$ It's been an interesting read for me.

The job I applied for and got asked to fill out 10 pages of paper work doesn't look like its going to pan out. I'm super bummed. However there is a reason for everything and this might just not be the right job for me. Lets just say I've tried to contact them 2 times via email and twice over the phone and have yet to hear back, even though they told me to not hesitate to call or email.
Darcy and Simon are so freaking cute together it melts my heart. I was gone for the weekend and when I got home E told me Darcy doesn't sleep well without me, it made me kind of happy because Simon is the same way with E.
We are having a weird mild winter and I hate it. I want some rain badly.

One of our cats has disappeared. He must have slipped out of the back door when DH Was putting the dog out yesterday morning. I'm pretty upset and worried. Marley is declawed and has never been in "the wild." I'm so worried he's going to get beat up by some cat gang or run over by a car. Emme and I are going to go for a walk around the neighborhood when it warms up to try and find him.

We close on our house today, so I'm super excited and anxious for that. I really don't have to do much for it though because we are using a closing agent since the house is in VA and I'm still in WA.
I have to drive about 3 hours round trip to go drop H's car off for shipment today. And my packers come tomorrow. So my stress level is at pretty much an all time high right now. However I'm choosing to play around online instead of getting stuff done around here, so I'm sure I'll be stressing even more tonight.
It's all about being prepared.

My body flat out refuses to get out of bed before 10 am. It is time for drastic measures here. I am about to break out my coffee timer, so that at 7am my life will turn into a Folgers commercial. This not having anything to do during the day is making me crazy.
I am job searching and it is making me soooooo insecure. I mean there are 12 million other people way more qualified than I am out looking for jobs too... I feel like an idiot. Would a small Starbucks job be too much to ask?

I have been working out really hard for almost two months now. I had a scale that said I had lost about 12 pounds, which I was ecstatic about. My husband hated the scale, because it was difficult (I admit).
We bought a new one the other day, and according to this scale, I've only lost about 4 pounds. I got a little discouraged, but I truly feel like I've lost about the 12 pounds...my pants are way loose, my clothes that used to be a size smaller are starting to fit perfectly again. I hate scales...haha. I guess I should be happy that changes are happening and I'm feeling better, but I'd really like to see it reflected in numbers too.

Wow, thanks. I am looking for a part time job I can schedule around my classes. Nothing fancy right now. It shouldn't be too hard to find one, but I make everything hard on myself.
I agree with Winged. TSD obviously doesn't hang out here. Maybe on MF, but not here.
Oh no! I read on a few sites recently that indoor cats don't usually go too far away from their comfort zone when they get out. Try leaving food and water out by your doors and see if it gets eaten. Or maybe even try spying on the bowls right at nightfall to see if there are any signs of kitty.
I've been really enjoying reading articles about how New Hampshire residents are responding to different candidates. After living here for a little while and getting to know people the reactions are pretty much what I would expect to see. (Santorum in front of the college crowd was hilarious) I'm excited (but also a little scared) to see how things turn out today.
This morning after DH left I couldn't go back to sleep because all of a sudden I was really bothered that at my last appointment the doctor finally weaseled the date of my LMP out of me. So of course that led to him sitting there scribbling a new due date on my file that was a week earlier than what the ultrasound determined. That's way too arbitrary for my blood.
I'm switching to midwife care (the practice I go to is a group with both types of providers) and I'm hoping that if I bring my chart I can convince her to switch it back.
DH's track is next week so he's been talking a lot to his IPs about what his assignment might be when he's done here. The best option for him career-wise is a deployment. He will meet the majors board next year and a deployment would look really good there, since he only has one under his belt so far and he will have very little experience as a pilot since he cross-trained so late.
I'm all for him deploying because of all these reasons, but I'm also a little disappointed. We were going to start TTC in the fall and now he will be gone. I'd rather wait than be pregnant and give birth while he's gone. I'm a little sad that DS won't have a sibling as close in age to him as we'd like.
Have you had an u/s yet? They can help with more accurately giving an EDD - but a week one way or the other really shouldn't much matter in the long run of things. Babies love to laugh at EDDs.

I get the 40 vs. 41 wks - which is why I'm hoping that she'll have an u/s, if she hasn't already, to better determine her EDD.
He came home around noon today. He's pretty jumpy. I think spending a night "in the wild" really freaked him out. Hopefully he stays away from doors now!

We almost got hit by a car last night while walking O in the stroller. We were in the middle of the crosswalk & the idiot turned without slowing down or using a blinker. I'm so glad J reacted quickly since he was the one pushing.

Random: in sorting through donations at my volunteer gig on Saturday, I found the following: a condom wrapper, a used pregnancy test, an old crumpled up diaper, and urine stained sheets. For the love of all that is good and holy, learn to use a trash can.

I did have an U/S already, and it put me three days further along than what I had charted, but I figured it would be a good way of splitting the difference and settled on that date. (Based on OPK and temperature I had my ovulation pinned to CD24). I just don't want someone telling me I'm 42 weeks when I'm actually just barely or not quite 41 and need to give it a day or two.
Also, even if I get things worked out with the doctor/widwife here, I might be moving in May and who knows what I'll be dealing with at the next place.
Glad he's home safe! You must have been so worried.
