mmmm...you are wrong. WRONG, I say.

You know what is disgusting though? Calamari. And nobody will convince me otherwise. I can't handle the chewy texture.

If prepared correctly, calamari is not chewy.

I'm glad Rosen is here to not make me the only person that has tried Chitlins.

Chitlins is one of only two things on the list that I've had the chance to eat and refused.  That and head cheese.

That's because they are disgusting and smell like actual poop while they are cooking.

I've had one tiny nibble and that was enough.

  • Properly prepared calamari is fantastic. Chewy calamari is not. I discovered this at Emeril's restaurant in Vegas where it was properly prepared and delicious.

Dih-toe.  I'll try almost anything once, and once was entirely sufficient to fulfill my lifetime's worth of a need for chitlins.

Don't try Durian! It is so stinky (like old sweaty socks).  I buy it early for my Geography class b/c the book talks about how it is banned in some public places in S/E Asia because of how badly it smells.  The kids say it tastes like banana pudding but  just cutting it open is like stinky stinky brains!!
We bought it to try once and while it tastes okay, the smell made me want to hurl.

    27. But Winged, I'm not believing you've never had calamari or a bagel and lox.

I'm more surprised that she lives in TX and has never had a chile relleno.

Also, are zucchini flowers anything like squash blossoms?

Yes.  Zucchini is just a specific type of squash.

I don't even know what lox is (besides liquid oxygen), but I love me a chile rellenno.

Lox is cured salmon.  I'm also surprised you haven't had this having lived in Seattle where salmon is plentiful.

Ah. In that case, I think I may have (not with bagels though)!

Bagel & Lox is like the state food of NY, right there next to pizza. A distant third could be fried calamari. It's so mainstream now they serve it in Irish pubs.

    I get a dunce cap.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Nah. No dunce cap.  The south grows a lots of squashes.
    image
  • I have no desire to eat lox or calamari
  • I get 73. My list contains chitlins AND crickets.

Everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, cucumbers, red onions, tomatoes, and capers (or any subset of those components) is life-altering.
