    Siblings?
1 full brother, 9 years older than me. 1 ex-step-sister also 9 years older than me (our parents married when I was 8 or 9 and divorced about a year ago, so she was my step-sister for 20 years and will always be my sister)

One thing you like the most about your DH?
I don't know the exact word for it, but his patience/kindness/forgiving-roll-with-it nature. We couldn't be married otherwise as I don't have the best of health and am not feeling well a lot of times and can be quite moody. Most of the time, it doesn't bother, irritate, or annoy him at all!

You should see the painful way this browser scrolls!! It's so hard to try and see all the questions so sorry if I miss any. :) Sorry my game is kinda boring, what with the PC crashing, being kicked off by IT for a bit, and my browser lag...it's 2pm and I haven't had lunch so I'll pick up where I think I left off if anyone feels like reading. :) Otherwise I'll just post to myself as I'm a LOOOONG way from silver! Johlise - good job with the questions!

    Proposal story?
Requires a little background. 1) H's dad always finds 4leaf clovers everywhere they go. Once, H and I were were talking about 4leaf clovers and he said they were super easy to find and not rare at all. I challenged him to prove it to me. Two years later, he hasn't and I challenged him that if he didn't find one for me by the end of the summer, we were not only not moving in together but I was dumping him as I didn't want to date a liar. (this was in June and we were supposed to move in together at the end of August.)

Early in August, he suggested we go on a picnic the upcoming Sunday as the weather was supposed to be beautiful. We went to a tiny park near his house and while I was reading a magazine, he announced he was going to keep his promise and find a 4leaf clover. Less than 10 minutes later, he called me over to see it. After I took a picture of it, he looked at me all nervous and asked me to marry him.

Do you shop at Wal Mart or Target?
Target! I shopped at Walmart mid-afternoon on Black Friday just to get a really good deal on some Rubbermaid food storage containers. It was the first time I'd shopped there in 5 years. I really HATE the one on Renton.

What has been your favorite job?
The start-up art company that specialized in wholesale framed art. I was office manager, customer service, graphics and some design and we were on route to be hiring in someone to be the customer service so I'd be left with only my favorite tasks. Then the economy crashed :(

Do you have any phobias? If so, what?

ARACHNOphobia!!! Bad! I can't look at most pictures without getting a horrid gag feeling in the back of my throat. I've only blacked out 2 times in my life, and one was due to looking up and seeing a palm-sized spider 6 inches from my face. I "came to" down the hall in another room sitting in the middle of my friend's bed, huddled in a ball and gently rocking.

    Favorite Month? --why?
October! In the PNW, that's when we seem to edge out of summer into fall and get those perfect days. The beginning of the month is still warm and lovely but you can feel change in the air. The middle of the month gives you the pretty sunlight and everything seems golden and the leaves change, but you go for walks and there's a crisp nip to the air that makes me feel extra alive! It's rounded out by Halloween, my favorite holiday.

If you could change your name to anything what would it be?
Oddly enough, even though I've never been super fond of my name (tired of correcting everyone so many times on the pronunciation or spelling) but never considered what I would change it TO.

Did you watch cartoons as a kid?
Definitely, although we weren't allowed to watch Loony Tunes as my dad thought they were too violent with no repercussions. (Fall of a giant cliff and get blown up by dynamite and be just fine). Smurfs was my favorite.

Have you ever been pulled over?--If so why and did you get a ticket?
Yup, twice. First time was after I got my license and I got pulled over for driving too fast in a parking lot. (My friend forgot she was supposed to follow ME and I was trying to get around her.) I had a warning for the speeding but a ticket for failure to carry proof of insurance because my stupid step-dad had put it in the wrong place and I could only find the previous expired version. That ticket got waived later.

Second time was when I had been unemployed for many months except for a measly part-time job and couldn't afford to renew my tabs so hadn't driven anywhere for a long time. I finally had a job and received my first paycheck, but the tabs place was closed by the time I could get there on that Friday. That evening, my friends were treating me to a movie so I was going there to meet them and got pulled over by the rudest, most condescending a-hole of a cop. Got the ticket for the expired tabs, a "lecture" on "elementary math" (hey a$$ hole, my new job is as an advanced math tutor! Want me to explain CALCULUS to your jerkface?!) and a ticket for failure to carry current proof of insurance (my stupid company had changed the format so my new proof was the exact size and format as a bill so I had glanced at it and thrown it in the filing cabinet). Got the insurance thing waived and the other ticket reduced.

Have you ever asked a lady when she was due just to find out she's not pregnant?
No, thank goodness, but I almost did at H's holiday party this year! Embarrassed I had just started the "Wh" of "When are you due" when I realized she probably wasn't pregnant, and awkwardly changed it into "ere did you get that shirt? I really like it!" since I was obviously staring at her middle area. Thank goodness I'm not sure anyone noticed.
