Re: Oh Baby, Wednesday!
My babies aren't really babies anymore, and I'll never be pregnant again.
I can, though, talk about how last night Dorothy was in a super awesome playful mood... 'til almost midnight. I have no idea why, but girlfriend was WIRED. She begged to sing Jingle Bells, and I swear we probably went through it 30 times. Yeesh, I'm tired.
Oh, I think it's pretty. It's definitely a "music royalty" kind of name, but at least it's not Apple or Pilot Inspektor or anything like that. People be crazy.
I think Ivy Blue would have been prettier.
Chelsea, I'm in the "I'll never be pregnant" boat so you'll have some company.
I agree with all of the above
I dont love Blue Ivy but I dont hate it either, I first thought of batman when I heard it.
I have nothing to say about babies, but I have a hot stone massage tonight and I cant wait.
Do you ladies know if Walgreens carries melatonin?
Yesterday was my baby's 5th birthday.
I haz a sad.

I believe that is where I got mine.
I agree. I think Ivy Blue would be nice. I understand it has a lot of significance for them.
I have my first Dr appointment next wednesday. I'm trying not to be the typical crazy first time mom, but it's really hard not to be.
Brianna - What did you guys end up doing yesterday?
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home D
Andrew took us to get haircuts (since I still couldn't drive), and we had PF Chang's for dinner (Cadence's choice).

She's got good taste
Can someone remind me when book club is this month?
It's the 21st.
Chelsea, SD was like this on Friday night. She was in such a good mood and all she wanted to do was play. I was worn out and asleep before she was. I tried to stay up but just couldn't make it.
We had our 34 week appt Monday. Everything is looking great. I'm finally starting to gain weight, I've gained 11 total and the dr is thinking Caroline is about 4.5 lbs right now. She told me Monday that there was no easy way to say this but I was gonna have a big baby. She is guessing 8.5-9 lbs.
We have our first shower Sunday and I'm slowly but surely getting her room ready. My dad is coming next week to add another rod to her closet and some shelves and I'm really hoping to get her bedding at the baby shower Sunday so I can get the crib all put together. My BFF is coming over to help with a little DIY project Monday so if I get the bedding and the project done Monday I'll post pics (if I can figure out how) next Wednesday.
Walgreen's should have melatonin but I could never find the prenatal vitamins there so good luck! I tried melatonin after multiple people suggested I try several years ago. I had horrific, vivid dreams so I stopped on the third day. This time, I sleep well, I go straight back to sleep if I need to get up in the middle of the night and I don't feel a hangover too often.
Today is day two (out of four) exam day. Please keep all sharp objects away from me. I'm finished with reviewing, we can't start anything new, some of my kids won't take an exam until Friday for me.
I like Ivy Blue better and that is what the station that I listen to said at first. But Blue Ivy is still cute. Deepthi- what is the special meaning for them?
So the baby doubles in size the last few weeks? Both DH and his bro were huge and that scares me.
We ended up going to cheesecake factory last night. I can't seem to find anything there I really LOVE, but it's worth it for the cheesecake at the end!
Dana - what theme do you have for Caroline's room?
I've been done with the book club book for a while. I'm never there when the new book or place is decided so is there something for Feb set up? At least the book?
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home D
The February book will be decided on at the January book club. We will discuss book options, decide on a book, and someone will volunteer to host it. I'm not saying it has to be done this way, it's just the way we decided to do it at the first book club and the way we have been doing it ever since. Usually on the Monday after the book club, the new host posts what the new book is on TN.
This is me. Except I'm not worried about my safety, lol. It's everyone else that should be worried. This week has been a nightmare and school hasn't even started yet
@Julie, I used to have bad dreams on Melatonin but they gradually got better. I cannot take Valerian at all though for this reason. Nowadays, since I have such bad allergies, I usually just take half a Benadryl.
BL, if you have a bad dream or two at first, just stick with it, it goes away.
@Deepthi I feel the EXACT same way about Cheesecake Factory!
My "baby" will be 18 at the end of the month. *cries* I can remember having her like it was yesterday.

Ok not sure that worked or not but the link to her bedding is http://www.amazon.com/Cocalo-Mia-Rose-Six-Piece/dp/B002Q3C4XA/ref=sr_1_2?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1326299625&sr=1-2
Jamyi, I didn't think she would double in size but my OB said that most babies memick the mother's birth weight, unless they are early or have complications. I was 9.1 lbs, my sister was 8.11 lbs, my mom was 8.8 lbs and my cousin had 2 10 lbs babies. Apparently big babies just run in my family. She did say she plans on her being a longer baby so I guess that helps some so she's not short and squatty lol.
His last few albums were apparently titled Blueprint and both of their birthdays are on the 4th or IV (Ivy). This is what I've been hearing. I listen to the radio at work so for days this is the topic of dicussion. I thought the song they made was really sweet!
Stephanie - Is DW the final decision for her trip? Did you figure out the details?
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home D
I could go either way. At least it's not training and I can be on the computer a little more.
A student needed volunteer hours so I told him he could take some of my papers home to grade and bring them back. He's very trustworthy, so I'm not so worried about that. However, I could have already had them graded and entered. Now, I have to wait until tomorrow. Not sure what I'm going to do now!
DW was my idea. But I've scrapped it now I think--it was just way more expensive than I thought. Now I'm back on Europe but a cruise rather than the traditional route. But honestly, if she ends up going to Comic-Con, she may not even want to do anything else. I can't even get her to tell me what she wants to do for her birthday.
Ben is talking about going to San Francisco over July 4 so we might just do that instead. Europe will still be there next year.

It might just be everything going on right now! I hope you get to celebrate with her. BIL is taking for ever to decide where he wants to go for his Med School graduation trip. DH offered to pay for a trip and we are just waiting for him to decide.
Dana - the bedding is soooo cute!

This will sound bad, I'm sure, but I'm hoping that things will still be down a little economically and that there will be some really good deals. However, I'm not holding my breath.
DS1 is driving me to drinking(not really) but he is almost 3 and is having a really difficult time adjusting to the move(s) twice in the last 4 months, starting daycare, potty training, lack of sleep is just all catching up to him. He cries a lot about stupid stuff and with DS2 it is difficult to do it all and give him the time he needs.
I am so ready for the next few months to fly bye and maybe things will settle down.
I think the name is cute. It's not my favorite, but way better than some of the crazy hollywood names I've heard. I need to go listen to the song now.
Deepthi, do you have any names picked out yet?
The girl's name has been picked out forever. I always loved Elizabeth so when we talk about it we will probably do Elizabeth Soosi (after DH's mom) she's a three time cancer survivor and it's honestly a miracle she's still here sometimes. Boys we are still talking out.

Hey ladies! I'm glad I'm finally up early enough to be a part of the conversation! Unfortunately I don't have any baby stories, but I still love hearing all of yours.
I've had a lot of changes happening this last week, and if your my friend on FB this will be redundant, sorry. I finally got my name changed on my DL, SS, and bank accounts. It's still really weird to hear people call me Mrs. S.
I cut & colored my hair for the first time ever! I'm really happy with it, but it was a lot more expensive than I was thinking. I've been reading all of this girl's blog for my hair cut and hair styles. She is so cute! http://www.thesmallthingsblog.com
And most importantly, I got a new job! It's in Grapevine, so it's a much better drive! It's still night shift, but there's only one person ahead of me on the waiting list to go to days. I hope I do well here. I will have to learn two more difficult procedures, but I'm excited!!
I hope everyone's doing well! & I'm still thinking about you Brianna, and I'm sorry you have the sads. I wish I could do something to help.
