  • I feel like I'm dying. Dying! Seriously, worst menstrual cramps I've ever had going on right now. I'm using my fat cat as my own personal heating pad and waiting impatiently for H to return home with my sushi.

You've already read 6 books?! Holy crap! I'm a little jealous! Sorry about your cramps.. I get bad ones too. I feel like never leaving bed again.

Currently, I'm eating Red Velvet Cake ice cream and watching Kids of Killers on TV. Tomorrow is also jean day at work and I'm super excited to wear normal clothes instead of scrubs!

DH's track is next week so he's been talking a lot to his IPs about what his assignment might be when he's done here. The best option for him career-wise is a deployment. He will meet the majors board next year and a deployment would look really good there, since he only has one under his belt so far and he will have very little experience as a pilot since he cross-trained so late.

I'm all for him deploying because of all these reasons, but I'm also a little disappointed. We were going to start TTC in the fall and now he will be gone. I'd rather wait than be pregnant and give birth while he's gone. I'm a little sad that DS won't have a sibling as close in age to him as we'd like.

Command at our current base is really great about putting Pilots on Baby Watch when their wives are expecting. They send them on shorter TDYs as the due date approaches. I know it will depend on your H's track but I wouldn't get too bummed yet.

  • I don't understand why taking both a pre-natal and a hormonal birth control confuses people so much.  Recommendations say you want to make sure you get in your folic acid as soon as you can, and ideally for at least a year or more before conceiving...  I don't want to get pregnant today, but it is on the horizon...

Yeah.  Saw a new dentist today, and they record what medications I take, in case any impact their care...  Both the hygienist and the dentist did a double take on it.

Every Friday at work is jeans day, and I love being able to wear normal clothes! Scrubs are nice, but I rarely wear anything else so I'm a big fan of jeans day too.

Not to mention PNV are just an incredibly beneficial vitamin for women our age, regardless of the plans for their uterus.

  • I'm super excited about my sister's wedding this summer.  I've been pinning dresses and ideas for her shower and the wedding is still several months away.

Now I'm going to AW for a sec...

I had gained 20 lbs within the first 8 months of living here.  (Part of it was due to lack of exercise when I broke my foot.)  Then I gained another 25 lbs during my pregnancy.  I am now 7 weeks post partum and I've lost a total of 37 lbs!!  I still don't feel 100% like myself, but I'm slowly getting there.
