Two things:
OK, so I have my new Naked Palette which I love. I got a brush with the kit and I like it. I also had a brush from MAC that I really never used so I have those. But there are tons of colors. Do I need more brushes? Even if I had more, how would I remember what was what?
Also, I need a better organization plan for my makeup. I currently keep most of it in a bag (the palette won't fit) and I have that and a bunch of stuff like clippers and a brush, etc. in a rectangular decorated box (that has no drawers or slots) on the back of the terlet. I want to keep it all on said terlet, so I need something thin and long, but with better organization. Any siggestions?
Re: More makeup
I use pretty much two makeup brushes for all eyeshadow. I'm not a huge fan of the one that came with the palette though.
Makeup on the terlet is giving me the heebs though.
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
I keep mine in a toolbox, so I won't be any help.
I am intrigued with all this Naked Palette love. I might have to buy into it.

link?
and dudes, seriously, every inch of your bathroom is covered in fecal mist. It's not like I have a huge bathroom. NOWHERE IS IMMUNE!
I was skeptical (and cheap), but I'm definitely a fan. I use it every day.

I have two of these from target. It lets me see everything and keep my brushes together and things categorized by type.
the link was to you katie, BTW
and yes, I asked for the Naked Palette for Christmas.
I have never had to wash my face before bed if I am just too tired because my makeup always wears off by then. Even MAC.
That makeup combined with the eye primer has to be scrubbed off. It is awesome.
Also, I love all the colors. I think I have used every one and I have only had it a couple of weeks.

i have the "rock star" tee hee!
Ha, mine is in an original Caboodle. I have looked at other types of storage but have yet to find anthing else that works for me as well. I have way too much makeup but would love to see Mashed's collection. I highly reccomend the Naked Palette, I use at least few shades everday.
oooh, I like it.
Also, confession:
My old caboodle smelled like tampons. I had gotten scented tampons in HS and left the caboodle in my home cabinet for years and went back when my parents were moving and when I opened it...TAMPON
Does anyone have Naked Palette 2? Those colors seems right up my alley.
ETA: Meh, it looks like a lot of sparkly.

I don't, but I want it. Those colors look more like my normal makeup than naked1, but I love naked1 so who knows.
My heart stopped more at 2 brushes than fecal mist. I do my makeup at a desk though, so I'm fecal mist free. ::flips hair::
I wish UD would make Naked3 matte colors.
buddha, Kate Somerville's exfolicate is supposed to be very good, but I haven't tried it. My face was super flakey and no matter how much I exfoliated it didn't help. finally someone told me to stop exfoliating and low and behold, no more flakes, well at least very rarely and when I do get them I just use an extra moisturizer at night, seems to help.
I've seen comparisons of the naked 1 and 2 and most of the shades are very similar, I think there are only two that are really different so I'd say if you already have 1 you don't need 2.
I swear by this stuff, which cleans and exfoliates:

why?
Origins Modern Friction is really good, but god help you if you get any in your eyes. Be careful with that stuff.
I love that some of you still use a Caboodle. All my essential stuff goes in a bin that is easy to tote from one place to another, or put on a high shelf so grubby little fingers can't ruin my brushes.

Angie, My friend has the NP2 and she loves it.
Buddha, Origins has these little pads you use twice a week, they're great, Brighter by Nature. I was using them for a few weeks and I really like them. (I'm in product jail right now, read below)
I keep my makeup spread out all over the counter so I can see everything and get yelled at daily by my husband.
Have any of you ever used Philosophy stuff? I got their face wash, Purity, and their moisturizer, Hope in a Jar, for Christmas and my face (which has never had any sensitivity issue EVER) is completely disintegrating and bubbling off like The Baron's face in Dune.
You know what is great?? Those little lip balms by Jack Black. You guys and your lip butters, you can have them.... This Jack Black stuff is no joke.
I consider these essential:
And that's minimal and if you don't apply liner with a brush.
Ditto the bolded. I used to use the apricot scrub and didn't really notice it working. Now I use Cetaphil for normal/oily at night and Clean and Clear scrub in the morning. The C&C is much less abrasive than the apricot.
