Yea...it was slow for me and kept giving me an error message!
I was annoyed yesterday because I went to my doctor and was seen more than an hour after my appointment time! I have come to expect it there, but it still gets frustrating. Plus, I hate my insurance because they don't cover everything I want them to! :-p
I'm happy that we have to do a training today, so we get free lunch! Also, one of my coworkers is just super negative lately. It is driving me insane! It's just all the freaking time and I honestly wonder how she still has her job sometimes. She is kinda rude to everyone who works here...even our boss!

On Wednesday, my boss was yelling at a student over the phone about something so very simple. Her office is down the hall from us with her boss across from her. Then she proceeded to come up front and told my coworker to "Take the phone and deal with that little sh!t..." Her yelling and cussing at everyone isn't new but I was a little surprised she would do it with her boss right there. He went to her office and said she was obviously frustrated and they proceeded to have giggle time.
That is crazy! What is with people?? I mean this girl was told she's unapproachable and its like she hates it here!

I don't why this thought popped into my head, but it struck me as that could be a euphemism for sex. "We had giggle time last night." And then I giggled.
Today, I have to give two exams, and they are the two hardest exams that I will have to grade. However, as soon as I get them done today (and I will! I think.), I am done with grading until some time next week. And, all my grades will be entered more than 72 hours ahead of time and some people will still be late.
Wow! Crazycrazy.
H is coming home for the weekend today. I am hoping we get through the day quickly!

Giggle time cracked me up too.
I did not want to get out of bed this morning... that new duvet I got? SUPER snuggly! It was basically like restraints this morning while I was considering getting out of bed
As I was working out last night on the wii, it was not recognizing any exercises involving lunges or squats, which was half of my workout. I got so frustrated I quit and did some lame games on the wii fit.
I would really like DH to switch lives with me; he can work my job and figure out why I don't always take my lunch or why my job gives me plenty of social interaction where I don't need to interact much more out of that every night. He has always had a laid back job environment no matter where he's been, can take lunch whenever, doesn't have to deal with people- he does have to deal with people just not as many and they don't all have an issue, etc.
Haha, I thought the same thing. The other name in the poll was Baby Free Friday.
Speaking of coworkers...
I have a coworker that no one can stand. She is nosy, always jumping into everyone's conversations (personal and work) and is calling in all the time. Last year she was out almost every other Monday or Wednesday (a total of 45 days last year). It became a running joke and we would take bets on whether she'd be here. Well she has started the year in the same fashion except she is calling in every week. Another coworker asked her if she was worried about getting fired and she told coworker "nope, I"ve been here too long and they wouldn't know what to do without me so no one is going to fire me". I heard that and was just floored. I couldn't believe she thought so highly of herself. We have had 3 layoffs in the 2 years I have been here. We have gone from having 20 employees in my area to 9. We are still very uncertain of what will happen to our company in the next 6 months but she is calling in all the time. I really wish someone would give her a big dose of reality and have some kind of consequences for her but nothing yet. it's very frustrating when we are having to cover her work all the time because she wants a 3 day weekend every weekend.
Bill said he heard of one a month or so ago. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you, Dana.
I didn't even think about the Adult only title. I know random but I think my hash brown disappeared. I don't remember eating it, but it was gone.
With the new job DH and I actually get to have lunch together! Indian people going out for Indian food.. I don't know why I find that funny.

We had someone like this at my last place and she always called in on the first day of class, which was a HUGE part of her job so it just made our office more crazy than it typically was. She would go to appointments or go pick up her medicine and call in and say she wasn't coming back. As soon as she got her leave she used it up. It was a constant battle between her and her boss and me and my coworker were always caught in the middle. Boss wanted her to call her instead of calling the main line to talk to one of us but then Boss wouldn't be there so we had to relay the message and she would never call back to talk to her herself as she said she would so Boss was always mad at us. There was a whole issue with HR, having her pay docked (but then come to find out she didn't need to be docked because she had the time)- it was a headache. Not sure what happened with her but her position was posted in mid December on the job site.
The comment she made about "no one would know what to do without me" is my boss. "It's none of your business!" Everything is top secret with her, she won't share anything about her job with anyone- not even her boss. If they ask to be let in on something job related "Oh, no need to worry about it, that's my job and it's covered" so no one knows anything. But yikes! To have that attitude with the layoffs you've had?
@Dana, ugh, I know exactly what you are talking about. We had one here too--I think I even did a whiny post once about how much she was making me dread coming to work. She finally got the axe and my guess is this girl will hang herself, eventually. But it may take awhile.
I want to thank Lacey for turning me on to that It's a 10 hair stuff. I can't believe how much better my hair looks already. For the first time in I can't remember when, I can actually wear it down and not in a ponytail. It doesn't look great mind you, but it's definitely an improvement. I am going to get the hair mask this weekend.

Julie, it's insane with the layoffs here. We keep getting emails from corporate saying how well we are doing and then we'll see/hear something on the news about how bad we are doing and then the company sends out another email about "reducing cost". We went from having 7 buildings out here to shoving everyone into 4 buildings and trying to rent out the other 3 to make some money. The fact that when I start a little over 2 years ago and all 7 buildings were full and now we fit into 4 buildings is kinda scary. I think they said they have let a total of 350-400 employees go in the last 1.5 years. It's scary.
I want to find something more stable but once I found out I was pregnant I couldn't leave because FMLA doesn't kick in unless you have been at a company 1 year, they are paying for my school and if I leave I have to pay all the reimbursement back. If I get fired or laid off I don't have to pay it back. I'm kinda stuck right now and that is a bad feeling with all the uncertainty.
Stephie, I'm really hoping karma catches up to her. She missed this past Monday because her dope head boyfriend locked the keys in the car AGAIN and she had to wait for the locksmith AGAIN. This is a monthly occurence. You would think after the 3rd or 4th time they would make a spare key and leave it in the house.
No. Stupid husband. <----just kidding. My hair, while not as curly as it used to be, still starts curling when even a little humidity is out there so I have been going natural for the past two weeks or so. Today is the first time this year that I didn't use my diffuser. However, I do want to try that 10 stuff. And the masque sounds like a good idea right now.
I have already finished grading the tests that I thought would take me all afternoon. I now have absolutely nothing to do. I turned in all my copying for the start of the new semester, I've entered and posted all my grades. I wish I had money for one of those nice long spa afternoons. It sounds glorious.

Marcus does not understand why I don't just straighten my hair any time I want. If it's raining or it's in the forecast for the day or the day after I am not about to spend the time to do my hair for it to just go curly in the end. Although straightening my hair isn't as much of a task now that it's short.
I noticed that too. Although I wouldn't blame them today as TN is being SO SLOW!

Hello Ladies & TGIF
I have been uber-MIA lately. My 14-hour days (includes commute) have been making it difficult for me to keep up. I'm embarrassed to say that my Christmas decorations are still up.
That is a definitely To-Do for this weekend.
Looks like it's sloooooowwwww today. Any cool weekend plans - other than enjoying this amazing weather. Not too shabby for my first Texan winter!

We are going to the Mavericks game tonight. Really excited - this will be my first Mavs game AND it's against Milwaukee! (I'm from Minnesota, so I have a deep rivalry with any team from Wisconsin
