Know that feeling. I know with yours it has a bigger start up cost but even with us just when we think we will be able to file and become "official" something happens. For us now it trying to figure out where we can move to and still run the biz out of the home other wise we will have to find another space to rent.

Remind me again what your business is?

It's so frustrating to wait, but I know that when we do we'll have all the numbers crunched and have a lot less stress than some of our other friends who haven't gone through the planning and started businesses and then after it's up and running they realize they don't have the capacity to actually make money . . . in spite of working 80 hours a week. I'm really glad I took that class through the MI-SBTDC.

Apple Computer Technologies. We follow you on twitter but I'm not sure on FB. I'll check.  The company is sustainable but it isn't quite sustaining our family yet.

  • GR public schools are open today.  They should be, the roads (at least near me) are not bad at all.  I know that GRPS almost never closes.  While the thought of a snow day is cozy, I worry about the kids who qualify for free lunch and breakfast. Willa's school is about 80%, I think.  She doesn't understand why she can't go to school early and eat breakfast with her friends.  :(  I could explain it, but I'm not sure a 5 year old should handle that kind of information yet.

  • Hello!

Okay, I admit it -- the roads were pretty shitty at 11:00 last night when I was driving home from work.  The ice under the snow was problematic.  I suppose I shouldn't have been so grumpy about the people worrying about this storm.

I'm freaking exhausted today.  I plan to sleep a lot this weekend.  It's been a long week.

Got my second grade back.  Definitely not as yay as the first.  I'm at the curve in this class.

I don't know what this means, but it sounds like you passed.  Party!!!   When you're off doing your lawyer-thang, that's all that will matter.

    B-

I was chatting with a fairly recent grad of your school last night and mentioned that I have a friend who's in her first year.  He actually said that students shouldn't stress too much about getting all A's.  He was saying there's much more to being successful than just getting A's, like becoming involved in student organizations.

  • We have had only one accident call in today.

Trust me the breakfast and lunches are not that great. It was SS biggest complaint.

  • My grandma was very superstitious.  She wouldn't leave the house on Friday the 13th.

I'm working on Henry's quilt top this afternoon.  He's been a great assistant.  this means we're having a good time, but it's taking twice as long. ;)

  • This cold has plugged my ears up. I feel like I can only hear half of what I normally could which wasn't great to begin with.

I went into our back yard and measured snow. 6 1/2 inches for us.

Will you be sharing pictures of the quilt? I would love to see it!

Might not be gourmet, but for some of the kids, it's the only balanced meal they get.

That's awesome. My mom makes super cute quilts. It's something I'm not sure I have the patience for. All I sew is elastic waist skirts and reusable bags :-)

Techinally if you say thank you in person, you don't need to send a TY note,

    ...

Othwerwise in cases where they should send thank you notes (showers, gifts in the mail)

Don't you say thank you in person at showers, though?

I'm with GoodGollie - I think TY notes are usually a waste of paper. I know you're grateful.
