Good Day GR Nesties!! (aka Randoms)
Morning all.
How was your weekend. We spent Sat. in Marne help our friend dig out. They don't have a snow blower and didn't hire a plow service. So SS brought his blower and did about half the drive which was only because that was all the extra cords we could get about 700 ft. DH went and shot some b-roll with his friend and I hung out with the wife and kid. We danced. it was fun.
I have my meal plan done for the week. Tonight Lime steamed salmon.
Re: Good Day GR Nesties!! (aka Randoms)
We had a busy weekend - celebrated 3 birthday's. I'm glad it's over...I don't want to host another party at my house for at least a year.
Yay for great weekends!
On Saturday we walked around the neighborhood and hit the farmer's market. I was pretty impressed with how much was still being offered. I finally watched Midnight in Paris and really enjoyed it. The casting and acting was so good (Adrien Brody as Dali? Perfect) Great story and I loved seeing the costumes.
On Sunday we headed over to my parent's house and took Henry sledding down a hill in their yard. We made it twice before he wanted to just walk. We ended up wandering around Blandford Nature Center for about an hour. It was quiet and peaceful. We were able to see the hawks, owls, merlin and the bobcat. So cool! The snow on the trail was pretty flat so the walking/navigating was easy.
Here is a gigantic pic from FB. Sorry for the size.
They may be closed to due to Martin Luther King Day if it's the city.
Morning!
Does everyone have the day off? I don't, so I'm at work, trying not to be too bitter about it.
Weekend? What's that???
I went to class all day Sat, had a date night with B. That was really nice. Sunday morning class then I did nothing the rest of the day. That was nice.
This semester is overwhelming already. 2 weeks down 13 to go.
Goals for the day: be (somewhat) productive at work, spin class, homework.
I'm working. My drive in was wonderful - no bus or extra school traffic. Love days like today.
Morning girls! I'm bright-eyed and bushy tailed because Gemma only woke up once last night for a feeding. I'm not sure if that's okay or not since she needs a certain amount of milk per day for growth. I'm going to see a lactation consultant tomorrow because its still taking her a long time to feed.
Our weekend was nice. Hudson's birthday was great. We ordered pizza from Costco, which I've never tried before. Oh my gosh, yum! I had no idea there pizza was so good!
Hoek - That picture from the nature center is beautiful. We need to take Hudson there this winter to get him out of the house.
My question of the day (you girls are always so helpful)...I bought an in-home wine-tasting for $50 on Living Social back in November. I asked a few girls if they would want to go in on it and we would do it after I had the baby. Well, that was 3 months ago and I'm inviting about 10 girls, not all of whom I had this previous discussion with. I'm sending out an evite today. Do you think its appropriate to ask them to bring $5 to contribute??? Or would that be rude?
Glad the party went well!
I think that is perfectly acceptable.
WFL?
I was going to bring my laptop with me today so I could do some homework at lunch at a little bagel place, but then I rememebered T had a dr. appt during my lunch.
As soon as I got to work, the office called and cancelled the appointment. Ugh. I think I'm still going to get a bagel for lunch. I just wish I could get some homework done at the same time. Instead, I'll have to do it tonight.
We asked for a March 1st closing on the house, but with the way things are moving, it feels like its going to be a lot sooner.
I had to deal with some FB drama myself this weekend - ugh.
Today I have decided to try to quit smoking again. Hubby is bringing a bunch of hard candy and gum home from work for me. I hope it works this time.
You can do it Charity!!!
This is so exciting. Does the new place already have tenants? Or do you need to find people?
Too bad you can't get some homework done, but enjoy the bagel. I want a breakfast bagel sandwich so bad now.
I think i will have a sandwich with turkey, salami and provolone. Eh. Not very exciting. Tonight we will have lasagna for dinner.
Lunch is a stoffer's panini, doritos and an orange. Hoektastic, your sandwich sounds good!
D&J- enjoy your bagel. March 1 is right around the corner. Very exciting!
We will need to find tenants. The house is completely empty right now, it's a foreclosure.
We had lasagna for dinner on Friday. And I found out (after almost 9 years together) that H does not like lasagna. He ate it, but said he doesn't normally like it. Where have I been? No idea. I love it.
luck you!!!!!
We made a big batch of my white chix chili yesterday, so that is lunch today, and probably much of this week as well. Oh yum, it's so good.
I have started telling my resident activity committees that I'm leaving. They are sad.
So we think the main line from the city is backing up into the basement. It was dry about 2 hours ago and now it's flooded more. It's a holiday so the Water Dept isn't answering the main number and I've been on hold for 30 min trying to get through the 24 emergency line.
ohh that sounds good
Step daughters bday is at the end of the month. Her fav color is blue so I just got her a blue zebra striped cased from Ebay. I think we grandparents are getting her a dance game for her xbox 360 kinect, and not sure what Mike is getting her because she has no other ideas and she had to tell everyone else something different lol.
Awww...that would be a hard job to leave.
Did you like it there? My sister is applying for a similar (I think) position in our area. Activities Director at a nursing home. Sounds like it would be a pretty fun (although hard at times) job.
Seriously. Yum!
