Two for Tuesday's Randoms
The melting ice and snow sliding of our roof woke me up at 4am this morning it forever to get back to sleep only to have the alarm then wake me up.
The salmon I made last night turned out really nice and my kitchen smelled wonderful. DH would like it more often but he loves most fish.
Paula Deen has diabetes. Shocker?!!? 
I've been working on quotes for clients for the past couple business days. I actually feel more active in the business. Yay me!!
Re: Two for Tuesday's Randoms
I took a sick day today. I cannot kick this cold. I was in bed all weekend. GRRRRR! To top it off, we have a dumb automated sub calling system. No one has taken my absence! School starts at 10 (fog delay). That stresses me out and makes me feel guilty for being sick.
I am officially done with my MIL. She didn't come to T's birthday party and she didn't call H the day after to wish him a HBD.
She is "mad" at us because she didn't get an invitation to T's party. Ummmm...we told you that we weren't mailing any invites out when we called to invite you. Every other grandparent managed to show up without a physical invite.
I feel bad for T that he is down a grandparent, but it's not like it's a huge loss for him. My mom more than makes up for any loss.
And my mom got H a couple gifts, a card, sent him a text, and said HBD in person on his birthday. MIL didn't even call. How pathetic that my mom acts like she cares more than his own mom.
I apparently have a really hard time understanding that not every mom is like my mom. Ha.

I have class tonight after work and I'm still not done with my homework.
I'm going to try to finish it at lunch, but I have to run to the bank. Eek.
Mol: I know how it feels. DH's Mom only says HB on Facebook and before FB he didn't get a call or a card in the mail. He got nothing. Which is what I get and SS gets. We are like to black sheep of the family.
LVila: Awesome the Mere love the iPad. I know when I had my last one the toddlers I was around loved to interact with it. I think it is a great devices to help kids learn. I know a few schools are looking into get them for students. SS school is looking into it. Right now the give the upper clansmen HP mini notebooks.

My randoms: I am SORE from spin class last night. I'm glad I went but my bum is FEELING it today. Price to pay for falling off the wagon I guess. I did not do as much homework as I wanted to last night. double duty today. Ughh I'm determined to get on a manageable schedule.
I'm sending off my bar application tonight. I will be glad to get that done with. Hopefully that will give me the push I need to get my head in this semester.

D&M, I'm sorry to hear that the elder Mrs. Jones is a weenie.
I had a meeting for my little job yesterday, and it was AWESOME! I'm kind of excited.
The only drawback was an altercation with a GRCC police officer. He yelled at me for blocking the road, and stopping traffic. The back bumper of my Ford Focus may have been 3 inches into the crosswalk. He yelled at me to move, but the only way I could have was to back up and run over some pedestrian students. He was kind of the Suzane Geha of community college police officers.
GRCC cops are dinks. I've had dealings with with before and even reported one to his superiors b/c he was possibly the dink king of dinks.
**side note: dear auto correct. No I didn't want to type sink I meant DINK!

I've been drinking way more coffee lately than I'd like. I don't want to be reliant on it, but it's totally become my crutch over these stessful past couple of months. I suppose I could have worse vices, though, right?
In other news, the two major stressors in my life are continuing to fade. That makes me so happy.
I've been reading about it a little bit, but haven't see any photos. I can't imagine being there! Eek.
YES! How crazy! And that captain? Really?!
I know! I just read an article about how the Italian Coast Guard was apparently screaming at him and threatening him when they heard he was leaving the ship. They ordered him to stay on the ship, but he didn't.
I've been following this story. How in the world do you get 4 miles of course. Did you see the big piece of rock stuck in the hull of the ship!
I watched part of the Today Show report this morning. They were ordering him back on the ship and he just kept running. Some passengers were on there and they said a group of about 15 crew people including the captain were just running past passengers to get off the ship.
I guess he purposely went off course to "salute the islanders" by running close the the island. So totally just pure negligence, not an accident or anything.
Yeah, I saw the rock stuck in the hull. So weird.
I also found it interesting that they hadn't done any safety training with the passengers yet. Apparently, US law is that you need to go through training before leaving port. But international law is that it needs to be done anytime within 24 hours of leaving. So, they hadn't done the training yet, which added to the chaos on the ship (you know, along with the captain and other necesary crewman fleeing!).
