Re: OL Tuesday
Dear Sarah,
I usually have juice or a GM with 2 hardboiled eggs. Every once in a while I will eat whole grain toast instead of the GM or juice but that is rare. Sometimes I will make some fancy pants oatmeal if I am in the mood.
Dear BL - I'm so glad you finally got some good sleep!!
Dear Marie - I am a terrible decorator too! I bought my curtains at BB&B and the only reason I bought them is because they are triple layer curtains to keep all the light out. I hate natural light coming through the windows at home. DH calls me a vampire lol.
Dear Sarah - I am no help to you for a healthy breakfast. I usually eat a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit from McDonald's every morning.
Dear work - Please slow down! Too much to do in too little time!!
Ha, I'm the same way. I prefer windows to have closed blinds AND closed curtains over top of that. Luckily H doesn't care. I just can't feel in my house comfortable without some layer between me and the outside world.
When I was a teenager, I was on my parents' exercise bike one night, and I glanced up (out a window that was, of course, not covered by anything) and saw someone standing at the edge of my parents' backyard, staring at me. I was so creeped out.
Now you are going to have me paranoid. We never shut our blinds for our balacony of our apartment. I honestly dont think they have been shut once in the 1.5 years we have lived there. I might have to rethink that.
I love girl scout cookies! I already bought a couple and eat them really slowly. It's been working out great when I have a small chocolate craving. Granted we don't keep too many other snack food at our house.
We luckily only have blinds to the back yard which I close at night and double check all 7 doors to make sure everything is locked up. I'm super paranoid. Yet I still love scary movies.

I am so afraid of that happening! :-p I always have the blinds closed unless its light out and I am home.

Oh, Marie, that's so scary. I would be totally freaked out.
H is either a) convinced no one can see into our fourth-floor apartment or b) a total exhibitionist, because he has no concern for how much or how little clothing he wears around.

Thank you! I feel especially validated because when I ran and told my dad, he didn't believe me (or didn't think it was a big deal).
I knew the creepy person was a guest of my neighbor's -- that neighbor was always having drinking parties and drunk strangers had wandered into our yard by mistake before.
I've finally found some curtains that I kind of like at Pier 1. We have to go there later this week to buy dining room chairs, anyway ... maybe my H will actually look at them with me. I trust his opinion better than mine, after the Walmart curtain fiasco.
You might try Ikea. Their curtains are pretty cheap and I like to walk around and see them hainging in the "rooms". That way you can see what they look like hanging. Then you can determine if they provide enough coverage, etc. It's easier for me to decide when they are hanging and not just by looking at them in a package.
Hahaha, I always place a big order and give them out to my friends. I have a bunch of students still in Girl Scouts, which I find kind of a big deal in high school, so I like to buy from them. My district pays us once a month, though, and they paid us WAY early in December, which is nice until about Jan. 5 when all your money runs out and you still have to wait until the 25th for another paycheck.
Dear Science Fair participants,
Since none of you has come to me with corrected paperwork I guess you're all DQ'd?
<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v123/magicwombat/?action=view
I discovered that the district can only make us go 5 weeks between pay periods. We got paid on Dec. 16th, and we get paid again on Friday. If I counted correctly, February may come a few days early as well.
Hm. If I was going to be staying here any longer I might be inspired to investigate that further to see if our district is the same... mayhaps I will pass that along to a coworker.
