Re: Ten Things Tuesday
Adorable! I started gymnastics when I was 3 and I loved it! When does it start?
1. I like the early edition of TTT. It makes me think early in the morning
2. I had the day off yesterday and did absolutely nothing. It was amazing.
3. #3 was a lie, I emptied the dishwasher and filled it. But not before leaving DH's salad bowls out because he doesn't rinse them out right away and the dressing dries and won't come off in the dishwasher. He got mad at me for being passive agressive but how many times can I ask him to do it?! Eventually he washed them himself
4. This whole Italian cruise ship thing makes me think I will never convince DH to go on a cruise.
5. I finished my first audiobook yesterday and I'm starting a new one today. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought and now I'm excited that I have something productive to do on my commute everyday.
6. What is Ann Curry wearing this morning?!
7. I taped the Bachelor last night and am excited to watch it tonight!
8. I can't believe it's mid-January already!
9. I need to start thinking of Valentine's and birthday gifts for DH.
10. Yay I finished my list
1. I had a 4 day weekend and I can already tell that working today is going to be a challenge.
2. I went back to WW meetings last night for the first time since the week after Thanksgiving and it was NOT pretty.
3. I think losing weight initially was easier than maintaining my weight loss.
4. I'm afraid to look in the mirror this morning because I opted to walk in to work from my car rather than catch the bus even though it was raining pretty hard.
5. DH wasn't home last night and nothing was really on TV so I watched The Bachelor (most of it) and that dude is NOT cute.
6. I hate when I come to work and someone has messed with the adjustments on my chair!!!
7. I'm going to attempt to get out of my dinner rut this week by sticking to my meal plan but I already forgot to take meat out of the freezer this morning! GRRR!!!!!!
8. I'm getting a small bonus at work and I can't decide what to spend it on.
9. I was on a roll with my 10 things and now I'm stuck at 9.
10. Now that things are back to normal at work I hope the board picks up a little since I should be able to participate more!
1) I am bummed I work today so I don't get to Nest today until later
2) I decided to post my 10 things before work so I could play too.
3) I went to the shooting range with DH and FIL this weekend. I was done after 15 minuets. They stayed for 2 hours...
4) I sent my boss and email yesterday with a question and she emailed me back a response that started off with ??????? . I thought that was rude but maybe its just me, it made me feel like it was a stupid question.
5) I need to buy new shoes so bad but I don't know when I will find the time to do so.
6) One of my FB friends is continuously complaining about their life and it makes me crazy.
7) I have to keep reminding myself that the weather is going to change majorly for me in two weeks haha
8) I have been so tired lately and when I say something about it my friends immediately think I am pregnant.
9) I am excited to take DH to Niagara Falls in the spring. He has never been before and I haven't been since I was about 12.
10) I have gift cards to Bed Bath and Beyond that I can't wait to use when I get to Michigan.
1. I'm feeling better today!
2. I need to go grocery shopping.
3. I want to make home made pizza tonight, and I'm really excited about it, but DH just said, "OK." Maybe it was because he just woke up? I don't know, but I wish he was more excited.
4. My cat has been itchy, so we're switching her food. Unfortunately, the new food is REALLY expensive. Oh well. If it stops her from eating the fur off her paws it's worth it!
5. Also, we're investing in a cat tree. Very fun!
6. I set a goal to read at least 10 books this year, but hoping to do 1 each month. I'm almost done with one!
7. There's a St. Bernard at the humane society. WANT!
8. I went to my mom's house yesterday, and we worked on cleaning out my old room. It was sad and fun at the same time.
9. I found my "ex boyfriend box". I couldn't get rid of it. There's too many cool memories.
10. I also found DH's senior pictures that he gave me. Hehe, he's so cute!
1. HR told me yesterday that I will meet w/ who would be my new manager and director today to have a talk about what my strengths are. I suppose they could say they don't want me, but it seems more like trying to figure out how I'll fit in the new dept and not if. I think we're close to having me switch and finally go down to four days!
2. Some friends texted me and DH yesterday to see if they could come over. At 5, they called DH and asked if we were at home. Um, no, we had to work yesterday. I got home about 5min before they got there and was still running around picking up a few things, getting a load of laundry in, washing/making bottles for about 5-10min after they arrived.
3. It was a little stressful, but they're close friends, so it was totally fine that our house was a disaster and I was running around while they were already there. And it ended up being a nice visit.
4. I went to my parents church this week to talk with their priest about baptizing Ryan. He said he was fine with it, but that he wants to meet w/ DH and I twice and then with us and the godparents. This will be more work than preparing to get married and I'm kind of annoyed. (Doesn't help that I don't really like the guy).
5. I finally have a project to start working on at work. Of course, it seems like I'm going to be switching dept's now and will have to transfer all of the stuff over to another person (hopefully soon!).
6. We just got through day 2 of a new sleep schedule. It didn't go as well as day 1.
7. I'm still convinced that the new schedule is the way to go, so hopefully tonight will go better.
8. Despite the fact that I got probably 5 total hours of sleep broken up into about 4 small stretches, I'm actually doing pretty well this morning.
9. I'm so not a fan of driving in the pouring rain in the dark. I can't wait for the sun to be up sooner in the morning.
10. I have yet to go grocery shopping for this week or even look at the grocery ads. I won't be doing it tonight either. I guess we'll see what happens!
#4 - Is it allergies? My parent's dog has major allergy issues and he does this constantly. Good luck with the switch!
#5 - what is a cat tree exactly?
4 - I would be really annoyed. I think responding that way is rude/not professional.
6 - That is why some people should not be on FB. Period.
8 - DH and I somewhat invited ourselves over to my parents for dinner a week or two ago (but it was a couple days notice) and my sister jokingly asked if the reason I wanted everyone to come together was to announce I was pregnant. Ummmm, no. I just wanted to see family!
9 - YAY!!
10 - ANOTHER YAY! BBB is my home away from home ...
1. YAY!
6. I have the same goal! ... but I'm not almost done with one.
7. adoptadoptadopt!
1. I am so glad it is a 4 day week for me this week!
2. I went up to the U.P. with DH and his parents this weekend and it was so much fun! We went snowmobiling and I LOVED it. I've never been before, so I loved being able to go out of town and just relax.
3. The only bad part about going to the U.P. is the drive. It's 6 1/2 hours away, so my butt is KILLING me from sitting in the car for the ride home.
4. I am having our neighbors over for dinner tonight and I have NO idea what to cook them. DH is going to the Auto Show with his dad tonight so he won't even be around for dinner. I am looking forward to it though! The girls are so nice!
5. I am a little sad it is raining still.
I really want winter to just be here, but I am sure in a month when the snow is coming in buckets I won't be as happy
6. DH's xbox got hacked the day of his birthday so they had to freeze his whole account. We were thinking it would be months before he'd get it back AND it was up yesterday! I was so sad for him when it happened. It was like, come on, it HAD to be today.
7. There is no one here at the office right now, and I am not quite sure what to think about it. I like having the office to myself, but I also would like to know what I need to do for work today.
8. I really need to make a Dr. Appt and a Dentist Appointment. I just am not sure if the one's I've been going to accept the health insurance H's company has.
9. I am hoping that I am down in weight watchers this week!
10. I am joining the YMCA this week and could not be any more excited. I miss having the ability to go to the gym and work out!
1. I've been busy, busy, busy this morning!
2. I have been doing really well with my low carb diet, but this morning I'm eating a Bagel.... YUM!
3. I have been super tired this week
4. FIL is staying with us again this week.
5. FIL always gets in super late and then leaves super early, I rarely see him when he stays with us.
6. I'm secretly hoping that he will take us out to dinner one night this week though!
7. I figure that's the least he can do, since he's staying with us as much as he is...
8. The whole cruise accident has totally freaked me out, especially because DH and I booked our cruise for March last week.
9. Despite the accident, I'm still really excited to go!
10. I really want to buy some new cruise clothes, but I can't really afford it....
Serendipity3, South Beach, Miami, FL 2012
1. I don't understand pinterest but I have a feeling I would pin a bunch of stuff and then forget about it.
2. James has a cold
3. I think I may be getting the same cold.
4. My SIL's due date was Jan. 15th so any time now the baby will be born - I am ridiculously excited to meet my H's first nephew (it's the second baby on H's side with James being the first). Plus I love squishy newborns.
5. Part of the reason I am excited about #4 is they live in Chicago - so a little mini-trip!
6. My excitement is tempered by the thought of 5 hours in the car with a baby. I think this will be a long drive with stops.
7. Although I'm glad there's not a ton of snow, this rainy/ick weather is bumming me out. It needs to just be winter already.
8. I have been cooking like a madwoman and my freezer is stocked with food.
9. Some time soon I will be making chocolate chip cookies. I have a craving for them and I can bring the excess to work to keep me from eating the entire batch.
10. I am sort of loving that I can eat like a disgusting pig and nursing keeps me thin like magic. It makes me want to enter pie eating contests lol.
1. The rain makes me feel sleepy
2. I'm really annoyed/bummed with OU's academic advising, but I've heard multiple colleges have crappy service. (i.e. I now feel like telling my story: appointments were booked so I emailed the adviser, what I thought to be a simple question, to which I got a reply "you have to come in blah blah blah walk-ins today and tomorrow until 4". Yesterday I luckily was getting off work at 3:15, so I rushed to school to have the adviser tell me in the face her email said tomorrow and I'd have to come back. I couldn't/can't. The 2 minutes she spent standing there could have been spent answering my question. Obviously I don't know how hard she works, but I would have had more respect for someone that goes out of the way to help someone out.)
3. #2 makes me lose faith and trust in people. It's disheartening.
4. I just read this quote on Pinterest: "Sometimes we expect more from others because we would be willing to do that much for them." and it really defines a lot of my relationships with people.
5. My Dad's birthday is on April 22 (Earth Day!) and I already know what I want to get him... and I already have a plan for his birthday NEXT year. This is a big deal because I usually never know what to get him and he usually refuses gifts (until my mom nudges him). I'm pretty happy about that.
6. Tuesdays this semester are annoying already because I get off work at 4:45 and have class at 5:30 so I have to drive straight to work. I don't like eating and driving. And I especially don't like trying to eat a meal while driving (i.e. a sandwich vs. pretzels). On the bright side, I get home an hour earlier than Wednesdays (because class is at 6:30 on Wednesdays).
7. DH and I made a delicious creamy basil parmesan chicken pasta for dinner last night. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to eating but I do like it when we actually prepare a legit meal.
8. Jessica Alba was on Live With Kelly this morning and she briefly mentioned Honest.com. I hope I still have this computer when I have kids because I just bookmarked it. They have plant based disposable diapers. Hello mother nature!
9. I feel like I've been typing for forever and I'm only at #9. It's not even 10:30, yet? What?! It's only Tuesday?!? Yikes..
10. Savings bonds were the best gift growing up... I just picked up mine from my parents house. Before 1994, they have fully matured, but 1994 and later they haven't - so I'll be keeping them for awhile longer. However, it's nice to know I have some money I earned from aging!
The vet said it could be food or environmental allergies. She got a steroid shot 2 weeks ago, and so she's not itchy right now, but I bet it will come back. Our previous vet said sometimes it's something in the food, so I decided to switch to a high-quality food for a month or so and see if it helps. It's grain free and has more whole ingredients i.e. chicken meal instead of by-product which can have bones and junk in it.
As for a cat tree...
Yeah, their dog has food allergies as well as allergic to pretty much everything outside. It's actually quite sad he had this whole allergy work up done and got a report back and everything. They've found that if they can control the inside allergies (food, dust, etc.) that his outdoor ones don't flair up as bad.
DH wants to get one of those cat trees for Bella. Well he actually wants a whole city of those things but I have to put my foot down...
It starts the end of the month and goes for 8 weeks. I can't imagine the gymnastics aspect is going to be too technical for 2-3 year olds, but I'm sure it'll be fun. All I know is the class description said the words "parachute play" and I was all in.
1. FI and I had dinner with his parents on Sunday. I heart my future ILs.
2. FMIL informed me that my FSILs are already taking bets on when I will get pregnant. lol
3. Honestly, the range they are working with is probably pretty accurate.
4. FI wants kids SOOOOOO bad, that he would be happy if I was knocked up for the wedding.
5. #4 will NOT happen.
6. I ordered these shoes for the honeymoon and they came in yesterday. I have very happy with them.
They are Skechers - Bikers - Proposal.
7. I think the only major thing left to buy for the honeymoon is whatever FI needs to wear. I'm pretty set. lol
8. FI and I went to the Red Wings game last night. What a great game!
9. I heard on the news that if it had been cold enough, instead of the rain we got yesterday, we would have gotten 8 inches of snow. Um, I don't like the rain, but I am pretty sure I would have been miserable with snow storm.
10. I get to go downriver for some deps in about an hour. Fun.
1. It's awesome you love your future ILs. H's parents are divorced. I heart my MIL. I... umm... wouldn't mind never seeing his father again though.
2. That's crazy!
4. Yesterday I told my mom that we were thinking about going to Europe in 6 years. She replied "then you should wait 7 years to have kids!". I followed with something along the lines of "Maybe we won't have kids.. maybe I'm going to go back to that plan of just being the fun Aunt" and DH interrupts to tell me he does NOT agree with that, haha
9. I work on a dirt road, so lots of rain means really dirty car. BUT, I'd rather have lots of rain than lots of snow. I sorta miss the snow, but I'm possibly going up to the UP next month and I think I'll get my fix then, haha
Haha! That's funny. I get irritated when DH does the same thing. He leaves his cream of wheat in the bowl and that crap might as well be cement when it dries.
Oh it drives me absolutely bonkers. The kitchen sink is my weird cleaning thing. I'm by no means susie homemaker everything tidy but I can't stand having dishes left in the sink. DH doesn't understand why he has to prewash things before they go in the dishwasher "because that's what it's there for." Ugh!
Dishes in the sink bug me.. but they don't bug me as much as dishes on the counter NEXT to the sink.
I feel ya. I've been giving myself the "you just had a baby" cop-out and then the "well, it was the holidays" excuse, but it's time to get down to business!
I've defrosted frozen ground beef in the microwave before. Your microwave should have a "defrost" setting. You just put in how many lbs. you want to defrost and it'll automatically adjust the time.
I'm attempting to do my part for you Amy. lol
Now that's dedication.
for you.
That's very unprofessional. Is this your current boss or your future boss?
They don't have Bed Bath and Beyond stores out in Texas?
I went to OU's advising site, clicked "Contact us", which is super generic and I have no idea who actually responded. Instead of answering my question, they insisted I schedule an appointment BUT they also gave me 2 links to review, so I was able to get the answer I wanted. I'm "happy" now. Woo!
I'm glad you're feeling better!! I still haven't forgotten about our Disney discussion. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet.
I was just in the U.P. and there was hardly 6 inches on the ground. I think you'll have snow by next month, but don't expect a lot. haha
1. I'm determined to get up to the 3 mile mark on the treadmill this week. Mostly running
2. I got fitted for shoes this weekend and what a DIFFERENCE it makes when I'm running! I feel like I'm running on air... wish the rest of my body felt as good as my feet
3. I ate way too many calories this weekend- celebrating my birthday (2 days essentially since dh made me dinner Sat and we had takeout on Sun) and then celebrating T's birthday Monday.
4. I can't believe my child is 4 years old!
5. I had a total of 8 things on my grocery list and ended up spending way more than I planned--- because of impulse buys and the mindset of "I don't have a ton on my list so I'm going to pick up xyz this week" hmpf!
6. I finally hung up my picture frames this weekend (well, some) and I love the arrangement I chose- now I just need to get pictures to fill the frames!
7. Snapfish sucks. My order is lost in the mail somewhere so I called customer service to see what I could do. They were going to reorder my pictures. I asked if I could do a pick up in store- "No". Can I change the shipping address then "Yes". Then I asked about an inquiry I made at the time of my order and the guy said he couldn't change anything. Then I asked if I could cancel the order entirely so I could make changes "No". So I simply (and probably rudely) stated that I'd just reorder through another site. My needs were met immediately.
8. #7 is entirely too long. Sorry
9. My 4 year old is asking for an 'Earth Spinner'. The only thing I can think of that he wants is a globe??
10. I'm sad I didn't get any cards for my birthday- except one from my MIL and a Valentines Day card from dh- with Valentine's crossed out and Birthday written in.
Getting back to it- my diet and exercise blog
Losing it...Without Losing it
Thank you for my cake! Checking the nest is part of my AM internet routine
It's my old boss that sent the junky email. I have decided though that I am way more worried about the transition than she is and if she isn't worried about issues then I shouldn't be either.
They do have Bed Bath and Beyond here I am just trying to avoid adding to my mass amount of junk to bring from TX to MI.
1. I stayed up until 1:45am playing Spades on my Iphone in bed.
2. Luckily I did not pay for it today, but am slowly winding down now at 7pm.
3. When I pulled into the garage from coming home from BSF this morning, the kids were sleeping (this is the only nap DD will get today).
4. With #3 being said, I decided to move the Westland mall errand running to today, so we ate lunch, did returns & played there so the kids could get more sleep.
5. My son is 20 months old today, now did that happen?
6. You can't cut most things into pieces, he's a big boy, don't cut that banana, give the entire thing to him or he won't eat it, LOL!
7. Stacy's Simply Naked Pita Chips are my chips of the month right now.
8. But I will always be a Fat Free Original Pringles gal.
9. Should be a good MSU/U of M game tonight, Go Blue!
10. Wish the rain this morning was snow, I hate looking at huge puddles of mud/water in the commons area.
