Re: Good Morning
OMG DES&MOL!!! That's great! Congratulations!
I cried when I saw it with my first one. I was so shocked and relieved and in disbelief. It was surreal.
I did not cry today. I walked out of the bathroom and brought the test to my sister and asked her if she saw a line. She said "congrats."
I'm still in shock.
I texted H on the way to my sister's work to drop her off some lunch and told him I got him a gift. At the dollar store today, I picked up one of those 7-days-of-the-week pill holders for his 8 bajillion vitamins - he said he's wanted on before. I told him I went there for a pregnancy test originally because I thought I was pregnant. And he told me to test right then and call him.
We are so happy.
The timing sucks (duh!, always does, huh?) I'm probably due around the middle of September. That's an entire school semester that I might have to miss. And we're rolling out a complete system change in September at work. Starting from scratch, after hours and weekend trainings....HUGE HUGE HUGE deal. OOPS!!!!
Pretty much!!! Haha!
1) get sweater
2) fill up car with gas
3) go to dollar store for test
4) eat lunch
Eat lunch didn't happen. I lost my appetite! Not in a bad way, just nerves I think.
Wow!! Congrats!!! How very exciting. :-)
Yup. Just waiting on yours.
TEASING!
Don't hold your breath!
Also, I applaud your decision making skills.
Yep. New post please. This kind of news is too good to be buried in randoms (especially a super long randoms)! Congrats!
Hmmmm... was it 2 weeks ago that Mr. Jones had a very lucky day, and there was celebrating... ?
I kid, I kid.
Congratulations!!! Happy and healthy pregnancy to you!!
Good memory. It was almost two weeks ago and there was celebrating...but not that kind. Hehe.
Nah, you didn't. The randoms are always much quieter in the afternoon.
Can I vote on your itinerary? I didn't read anything DP wrote, but I am assuming she voted for Italy. That's what I would pick too.
Regardless of what you choose, you are going to have a wonderful time.
When are you planning on going?
Yes, she did. And thanks for your vote too!
I'm thinking mid-September is going to be our best option. The trip is supposed to be for my 30th birthday which is in mid-August. But everyone says the entire month of August is a terrible time to go to Europe, which is a real bummer because I think it would be awesome to be there on my actual birthday. Then, I was thinking, we could go in early September and take advantage of Labor Day to save a vacation day from work, but that doesn't work with B's work schedule.
I thought a bit about going in the late spring, but I think I'd rather go after my birthday as opposed to before. And ironically, SIL and her boyfriend are probably going to be booking a Germany/Italy trip in June!
I vote for France in the Springtime.
I have to take SS to the eye dr in about 30 min. In the 2 years since his last appointment he broke 3 pairs of glasses. He has had to go the last 9 month without them. Back a couple months ago he started asking for them again wanting to know when he can get new ones. Then on Christmas break he found the broken pair and looked through them and discovered how much he needs them. Hopefully this time he will take better care of them.
sewer guy finally showed up and found nothing wrong in our line either so now I'm running the dish washer and anything else that runs water to see if it will back up again.
I rephase: France in the Autumn.
Very true. Though they did pick back up last night.
I'm still here. No news for me. We THINK we'd be ok starting a family next year. So I'll keep you all posted.
Italy! I vote Italy! I told myself that I was going to take myself to Italy when I graduated. Now it's just on our to-do list. We will getthere one day.
We have not. I think it's really interesting how the websites are responding, though. Google blocked out their logo.
I just saw this article. Looks like their efforts are paying off! http://mashable.com/2012/01/18/pipa-sopa-abandon-bill/
Hmmm... I'm seeing a lot of love for either Paris/Benelux or Italy. Not so much for the Munich itinerary which is what B is so far most interested in.
We still have a long way to go in this research process yet, though. You know us... it will take awhile. I'm only on my fourth spreadsheet so far (true story).
Haha!
I must admit I was a little worried about it when I saw you had 3 choices.

All of those itins would be sweet.
Hey! I think I'm doing a really good job for only having three! I'm pretty proud of myself for how far I've narrowed things down so far.
SO true! Europe is by far one of the hardest to narrow down. SO many amazing places to check out.
Yes, do not go to Rome in August. Unless sweating and feeling miserable is your favorite thing to do on vacation. Or so I've been told.
If B is most interested in the Munich itinerary, I would lean that way especially because you're concerned about him enjoying a trip to Europe. German transport would also probably be much more efficient than Italy. I also think you'd have less language problems there, both because of my understanding of German people and I think English is just more widely spoken there.
I voted for Italy only because I could speak personally about my experience with two out of your three cities.
