Re: Babies and bumps (to-be)
First the biggest thing is after 18 months, I think it is finally safe to say, Zach truly sleeps through the night now. We have had 3 consecutive nights (so far) of him sleeping 11-12 hours like his brother!
Also, I think Zach is finally starting to talk a little. My mother swares she heard him say "No" the other day, and I think he said "Hi Dad" when DH was coming down the stairs the other day. (Christian does this all the time). So I am hoping I hear it again over the next few days.
Christian is starting to explode with words, and testing my patience. He is going to be my problem child. He loves to stand on his toy box, and when I tell him to please sit his bum down this is the conversation:
Me; Christian please sit your bum down.
Him: Noooo
Me: Christian please sit your bum down.
Him: No, why?
Me: because you will get hurt and mommy doesn't want you to get hurt.
Him: No (as he laughs at me, and thinks it is funny). Then Zach usually comes over and laughs with him.
26 weeks today, last week of 2nd tri! (um, holy crap?)
Here's a picture I snapped yesterday for Hump Day Bump Day
That's the room that used to be Erin's and will be the nursery. As you can see, it's not anywhere near done (or really even started). Though there are some paint chips taped on on the wall in the background. If the stripes were more grey, I'd keep them, but we took advantage of some "oops paint" at Home Depot and it's decidedly purple-ish.
My next doctors appointment is tomorrow, so I'll find out about the results of my glucose test then.
Fun things that have happened this week, we can finally pick up his heart beat with the (stupid) Bebe Sounds monitor thing. We got it free from a friend and it's basically just a glorified microphone. It was neat to hear his HB at home though!
Less than fun things, he's still sitting reallllllly low. As in, most of the time he's still down below my belly button. Yesterday was the first time I've really noticed focused bladder kicks. I feel bad sometimes because of the way I'm sitting in my desk chair makes him kick like I'm squishing him or something.
So far so good though. I'm still feeling well and the anaconda pillow makes sleeping a LOT more comfortable, even if I am up at least twice a night to pee now.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Ooh Kats, STTN! That's great news.
In my news, (there's not much), my pants have gone from being too tight, to only being tight on my waist and being super baggy on my butt and thighs. I'm totally perplexed by the phenomenon, to be honest. I'm calling my belly a little beer gut right now, because I'm wearing my pants underneath the belly like a fat man. =P I have a feeling I may have a pic for you next week (it'll be week 16 then!).

katsblaze- that is funny! Preston still isn't talking
I hope he starts soon. He says very few words.
Raynes- You look great.
We have been working with preston on body parts and he knows his eyes, ears, mouth, nose, belly, belly button, hands, toes, and hair. I am super proud of him. Hopefully his talking will start up soon enough.
Jordan made all a's on his report card this past 9weeks I am super proud of him! He has done great in school this year.
katsblaze--that's great about STTN! I know what a struggle is it to have less than stellar sleepers.
raynes--you look really good!
Parker has turned into a good little helper. She will feed the dog, unload the dishwasher, and put laundry from the washer to the dryer--with a little assistance of course
She will be a big sister come late September
FX that this is my sticky baby. I lost the last one at 4w6d so I'm anxious for that day to pass. Hell, I'm anxious for first tri to be over so I can breathe a small sigh of relief.
Congrats!! FX for you.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Congratulations!! Sending T&Ps that this your sticky baby.

Congrats! I'll be sending vibes your way.
Thanks ladies for all the well wishes
Funny you mention that because as I was Pinning last night I thought to myself, hmmm, am I pinning too many newborn things? I obviously must be haha.
Skyejo- congrats, that is great news! I hope things continue to go well for you and the LO!
I wish I had some exciting news or updates, but still happy that things are just progressing normally. My belly is definitely getting bigger and sleep has definitely become more uncomfortable. I cannot wait until we move back to the states and we buy a king size bed!
Speaking of moving, we are on the countdown to our move back to the States! 99 days to go and we will be stateside! I am not looking forward to the 13 hour flight at 7/8 months pregnant, but will be so happy to be back near family! After 6 years here, it is time to go home!
raynes - look at that bump!
skyejo - congrats!
Today's bump picture...
I had an OB appointment this morning. Pretty uneventful (measuring exactly where I should be) but I was glad to ask him some questions about the pelvic pain issues I've been having.
My pelvis pretty much feels bruised to the touch and as if someone has kicked me there and this has been going on for a few weeks now. He said it's engorgement and just pressure issues due to my uterus and not to be too concerned. If it starts to ache and burn, just try to get off my feet and take some of the pressure off. I specifically asked about my running and he said as long as I feel fine while running, I can continue on.
Otherwise, I'm feeling pretty great, just a little tired.
My shower will be March 4th and I'm all finished registering. My aunt wanted to have one of my gifts delivered but it was going to cost more than they thought and the ladies at babies r us told her it's best for me to get the item early and have it set up and make sure everything is good before baby gets here. The only 'big' item I have like that is my glider and ottoman and if that's what they got me, I am stunned since that is so generous. She's going to bring it over this weekend.
We have the crib but aren't going to set it up for a bit since it's going in the room where we currently have the guest bed that the cats hang out on a lot. We're giving Winston some time to see if he stops marking and if he does, we'll put the crib in the room with the bed and then transition the bed out.
Next appointment will be in 4 weeks (it was going to be 3 weeks but since things are going well, he was ok with staying at 4 weeks) and after that I go down to every 2 weeks.
kats - STTN is fantastic! great job!
raynes - you look adorable - I want to rub your belly!
skyjo - congrats, my dear! FX for you!
I'm feeling great today. the m/s is come and go - I'll be nauseous for a few days, and then fine for a few days. food aversions are kicking in - Sean surprised me with a steak dinner last night, but I could barely eat it. I felt so bad, haha. I feel as though my energy is back up, which is great, since I have tons of stuff to do to prepare for my friend's bridal shower this weekend.
our first appointment is a week from today (SQUEEEEEE!) so I'm preparing myself this weekend by making a list of questions to ask my doctor. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time.
my stupid brother commented on my FB status yesterday with something along the lines of "yeaaaah I'm gunna be an uncle!" idiot. I deleted it immediately, and I'm hoping that people that previously left a comment didn't get an email notification. grrrrr.

katsblaze - yay for STTN!
Let's see. I don't remember if I updated Darian's stats from his 6-month appointment - 85th percentile for weight and 97th percentile for height. Um, whaaaat? We started him on solid food around Christmas and we thought we were good because he LOVED rice cereal and sweet potatoes right away, but he's not much of a fan of pumpkin and avocado so far, and he seems to think bananas are poison. Sigh. He's also been kind of fussy ever since he had his shots on Monday. From what I remember last time, this could last a week or so. Who knows. Just when you think you've got them figured out, they change and do something new.
On the plus side - he's thisclose to sitting up on his own! He can do it for a couple of minutes but isn't quite secure enough yet that I can just let him sit without my hands nearby. And it's fun that he seems to be understanding and imitating things - if he's in his Exersaucer and I say "jump jump jump!" he'll jump; in the water at swimming lessons, he kicks if I say "kick kick kick!". He knows that "Yeah! Good job!" is a good thing. I love his proud little grin when we say that too him.

Congrats skyejo!
Kaesha, maybe your pants are too loose in the hips and legs because you are having to wear them lower than usual to accommodate your belly? I often have to hike my pants up higher on my waist to make them fit snugly on my legs and butt. Wearing them too low also gives me the saggy effect. Maybe you're about ready for a pair of maternity pants?
Congrats Skyejo!
Nothing new with me, just waiting to O.
skyejo - congrats!
Olivia is 8 months and it's such a great age. She is learning to wave hi and bye and will do it unprompted now. She has been scooting around on her butt but not really crawling yet. Now she will be on her hands and legs and start rocking back and forth so I think it's only a matter of time before she starts crawling. We really need to start baby proofing.
She has her four top teeth and the bottom teeth and I think now that they've all cut she's back to STTN. Yay for all of us!
This month we stopped using contraceptives, so I wouldn't say we are all out TTC but we aren't doing anything to prevent. I quit charting this month as DH wanted it to feel spontaneous, if nothing has happened by April the charting is coming back. I am still able to speculate as to when I am ovulating pretty well (I've charted for over a year so I know my signs). I am excited but at the same time it feels almost surreal.
Congratulations!
Congrats SkyeJo!!
No big news here. Going to the chiropractor in an hour to make sure my rib isn't dislocated. The girl who did my massage last week said it's possible from the pain I was feeling. I highly doubt that would happen yet, but I figured I'd like to rule that out and find out if it is muscular related or something else I need to get checked. Not much else other than counting down to V-Day....

Hi ladies!
So happy to see all the bump pics once again! And the other babies that are growing like crazy.
Noah is 6 months old now, I can't believe it. He's crawling, sitting on his own, waving... he says "mama" and "ba-ba". He's getting baptized in a few weeks, so looking forward to that. I can't believe how fast the time is going. Only another six months and we will be TTC again (probably)!

Congrats Skeyjo! Im so excited for you guys!! FX for you! Parker will make a great big sister!
Ciaram- Love the pic of Edmond in the snow, he looks so grown up!
Makenna is sick and back to waking up every few hours, unless she sleeps with me. So we have been snuggle buddies (well not exactly, she takes over the bed, DH has been sleeping on the couch.) She seemed a little better today so I am hoping she STTN in her bed tonight. On a brighter note she is talking a TON more. We have mini conversations. The other day I went clothes shopping and tried on a shirt and asked her if she liked it. She said no...then the next shirt I tried on she said "yike it? No" as she shook her head. Common phrase of the week has been "wha appen?" (with the shoulders shrugged and palms up) then she will answer herself with a confused "know" for I dont know.
In other news, I am joining a gym next week to get in shape and get the rest of the pregnancy weight off so we can start TTC baby P # 2 in Julyish.

So fun to see all the bumps and updates!
Gabe is doing great! He just mastered rolling over from tummy to back. It is so fun to watch him change and grow. It's like overnight he started hitting all of his developmental milestones. He weighs 16.4 lbs, not sure on his length. He was 25 inches at his 2 month check up We go back in a few weeks.
His sleeping is not so great but we did just transition him from our room to his own so it is expected.
He was baptized on New Years Day so I included a picture of that and also playing in his bouncer.
