My coworker and I went on a 2.2 mile walk during our lunch. It is so nice out!

I wanted to but my walking buddy was too busy.  :(  I went to Walgreen's and it was sooo nice out.

    BL--so glad that is over!

  • BL- Glad it wasn't too painful. Hope you feel better after the nap.

Jaymi - I know it's cliche to say this, but you always have to take my skin tone into account when dealing with the airport security people.

I forgot one of the best AWs! DH and I are going to the Mavs game on Wednesday!! They get their rings at this game! It's going to be so much fun.

  • Oooh Deepthi, that will be fun!  I was thinking of trying to get Rangers tickets for the first home game Darvish pitches.

Ben did our taxes today.  We will have our money NEXT WEEK!

Aww I hate that!  I would actually like to run at lunch, but my coworker doesn't run, so I'll stick with walking!

I have most of my tax stuff entered but am waiting to see what the interest paid on Chris' student loans was last year. I'm disappointed that we aren't getting as much back as we did last year!

I know.  Kudo's to you both for getting that done.  Deepthi, I'm with you.  Yesterday we got our first W-2.  Still waiting on the other 3. (DH and I both changed jobs last year) Plus all of our financial forms as well.

  • I hate waiting on all the tax forms to arrive.  As soon as the first one hits the mailbox, I'm chomping at the bit to get it all on forms & filed.  I'm curious - do you (or your H) do your own taxes, or do you take them somewhere to have them done?

DH and I always did our taxes on TurboTax.  Last year filing together for the first time was interesting.

Ben does ours.  Ours are pretty easy, especially compared to his when he had to estimate.  When I was single, I had a great lady that did mine.

  • Deepthi, I'm trying to go to that game.  I have wanted to go since Barea got traded to the Timerwolves and then I found out they are doing the ring cermeony so now I really want to go.  It will probably be the last game I can go to for a while.  We have SD that night but a friend offered to come to the house that night so we could go as a "baby gift" to us.  I'm still looking for tickets and DH is still debating but I'm really hoping we can go!

We are still waiting on all the forms to come in.  Have not received a single one.

We use a free form of Turbo Tax online.

I just remembered a funny (but scary at the time) story.  We got our refund check in April or so and come July, we still had not deposited the check.  Stupid, I know.  I hand the check over to DH and say "I hope it doesn't expire in 90 days."  Pure terror comes over his face and his voice and he says that it's expired...just kidding.  We could have asked for another check (don't know how successfully that would have gone) but I was freaked out.

  • I got an email ten minutes after leaving school that our W2s are in.  Now, we'll just have to wait on Bill's.

    Jaymi,

Just after Bill and I got married, I found his tax return check (boy, did marrying me screw him over!) and he was a week from it expiring.  I couldn't believe that he just left a check of that amount laying around when we could have used it for the wedding (or HM).  I took him to a bank at that very moment.

I always did my own when I was single because I was a 1040EZ.  Now, Bill does ours--I think he uses Turbo Tax.
