Although to be totally honest, we won't be doing much of the beach/romance thing. Much more city based itinerary.
Fly into Madrid. Train to Barcelona. 2 nights in Barca. Get a rental car. Drive to Valencia. 2 nights there. Then we do Grenada and the Alhambra, then on to Malaga. Then a couple of nights in Seville, maybe a night in Cadiz (but prob not) then a couple of nights in Lisbon, a couple of nights in Porto, then back to Madrid. Very little time in Madrid.
(I'm doing that from memory and don't have the spreadsheet that my nerdy husband put together, so it might not be totally accurate).

Our trip is the trip that keeps trying to unplan itself. I forgot about Orthodox Easter and it falls on the 15th this year. I found out this morning that basically everything will be shut down that weekend. So, we won't be able to leave the city or visit any sites. It's really throwing our whole itinerary off because we only have a week and a half to see a months worth of sites. Losing more days just makes this trip seem entirely too rushed and with no direction.
Also, I've been emailing with a few Greek travel agencies in Greece. They are all so very nice, but they don't read anything I'm writing. It's like I'm speaking in..... Greek. ha! I'll ask about transportation, costs of certain activities, time.... And then I get an email 24 hours later with an entire itinerary outlined, only it's not for the days I requested and is outlining a completely different vacation. "Oh! You want to go on a classical Greek tour and visit all the ruins? Here! Spend a week island hoping on a cruise. Enjoy our country!"
