YAY for TTC Buddies! Kim you are more then welcome to join us!
I can't believe its already in just a few months that we are going to start trying. Sometimes it feels so close and sometimes it feels like forever away.
I'm another one who gets to work from home. At least 2-3 days per week any way. I LOVE it! It's the only time I get laundry done and get a decent dinner made.
Today is an "in office" day and I definitely don't have any desire to get things done. I have lots of meetings to keep me from falling asleep but I had to eat lunch way early so I could be in my meetings from noon to 5. Luckily I had 10 minutes to spare before the next one. I have a Special K blueberry fruit crisp on my desk that's calling my name! I'm trying to hold off because dinner will be late tonight.
I like the idea! I like shopping for baby stuff. It's all so cute! I'm pretty sure you can have Amazon ship it to the Mommy too.
I get giggly thinking about y'all trying too. Ha, I'm a nerd.
I'm glad you said this because I was trying to figure out how to do something for dmcphee. I'm pretty sure most places you register can just ship without the exchanging of addresses, but I think most girls on the forum wouldn't mind revealing addresses in private.
Married
me too! I think we should do it! Just let us know all your registry info. I'll deff send a gift! I love ya'll so much!
I taught a couple of online courses last semester, but I didn't like it. It felt like all I was doing was writing assignments and grading them. I prefer the live interaction of a classroom. Also, you can't do labs online (ok you can, do virtual labs), and chem lab was always my favorite.
I love a grilled cheese and apple sandwich.
@ochemjen-that would work if I taught secondary or post-secondary education, but unfortunately, for the elementary kiddos that really wouldn't work.
I LOVE the idea of a Juneville baby shower as well. The idea had swirled in my head a couple weeks ago, but I didn't really think of it much after that. I know that most stores allow you to ship to address on file without having to know the actual address, so that shouldn't be an issue.

I love the idea of a Juneville baby shower! But be forewarned that you're all getting onesies and baby socks and other ridiculously small things because I love teeny tiny baby stuff.
Anniversary trips - Any one else planned one yet? I feel like I'm slacking. Tim and I are taking a two week road trip to Austin, TX and back in March, so I think we'll have to do a small weekend trip for our anniversary.
Joy- I am in the same boat with my hair. It's so long right now and some days I love it, and other days I feel like it gets tangled too easily, doesn't do what I want it to, just annoys me. I think about cutting it but then I think of how long it takes to grow it back out and I have second thoughts.
Stoked- LOVE the freelance writing idea. I think you would be excellent at it. You might also want to look into Christian publications. I love the way you weave your faith and conviction into your writing and I think other mommies would appreciate that viewpoint.
Kim- Ahhh!! Still SO excited for you.

Ok first of all I am in with the rest of you girls! Please post your registries when you get them, I want to get something for you girls. So so fun!
And yes Melissa! That's exactly how I feel! The tangling got better when I got this wooden comb from the Body Shop. It's designed for easily tangling hair - its super wide so It doesn't hurt either which is awesome. But yeah, some days, I think I look like this:
When really I'm lookin like this:
.... just sayin

I think we may attempt a beach trip in May, but we can't really do a ton of traveling at that time.
That's a good idea. Thanks!

hahahahaha. Oh, and Zooey Deschanel, her hair is just so pretty. I'm pretty sure I spend most episodes of New Girl dying laughing and lusting after her amazing hair. Sigh.

I am sooooooooooo excited for your Austin trip, Melissa!!! I cannot wait for you to be here!!! and thank you (we may still end up being TTC buddies if things don't happen right away! lol). Also...I'm super jealous of the trips that you want to plan/take before babies, they sound incredible!
I'm going to try to remember all the things I thought to write while I was reading this!
I would love to work at home (and do by teaching lessons in the evenings), but teaching orchestra at home is not very feasible! lol. Like Maggie, I LOVED my first summer off last year, and am trying very hard not to work this summer either. haha
We started talking last night about our anniversary trip. I don't think we're going to have enough money saved up to take a whole week, but we want to do a weekend. The ideas so far are Williamsburg, Lancaster PA and NYC, leaning heavily towards NYC. I'm excited- I love planning trips
Shoot, that's all I can remember! I may post again if I think of what I was going to say
NYC is so fun in June! The warm weather is perfect for romantic Central Park picnicking
