Wednesday Randoms
Good morning all.
What are we doing today? DH has a new iMac to deliver this afternoon and that pretty much tops the excitement here but it is the second machine this week. 
The sun has released more solar flares which is kind of cool because the northern lights are more frequent. Hopefully we don't have to worry about it effecting any satellites or take down power grids.
I missed the State of the Union. I've seen highlights this morning though.

I think our fridge/freezer is dying... or something. Something's not right with it, but we're not sure what to do about it. It's cold, but not as cold as it should be. And it occassionally makes a funny noise.
Being a homeowner is irritating.
Also, I'm grouchy today (for various reasons).
Me too. I kind of want to take tomorrow off... just because.
Yup, that's how I feel about today.
Alright then I declare that January 26 2012 will be "National Nestie's Play Hookie Day."
I told H I was in a crummy mood. He told me to "go look at houses, that always cheers you up."

Morning. It's Wednesday. I FINALLY got my last grade yesterday. I am officially about 1/4 through my last term!

I've been grouchy this whole week (PMS, I'll admit it). I took a reading day today because I have several documents and a book that I need to read for various meetings and it is impossible to concentrate in my office. Even with the door closed and phone forwarded and IM blocked they somehow find me!
Tonight DH and I are going to the co-op pickup. Hoping they have lots of "extras" because I didn't realize we were so low on a lot of stuff. Who knew we'd eat an entire half bushel of delicata squash in just two months?
Add me to the list of grumpy ones :P
Ben has a double ear infection and croup, poor kid is miserable. I've got a wicked sinus infection and just generally feel like crap. I'm contemplating calling into work tonight but I hate calling in mid week, I'd rather save it for a Friday :P
The Navy Seal team will start getting keyed up whenever Obama has a big visible evening. He had them move in onthe pirates on the State of the Union night. Correspondants dinner and bin Laden. Hmmm...
I hope grouchiness goes away soon, friends.
Last night, Willa and I made her a scarf out of a shirt that was too small for her. She got to push the pedal on my sewing machine. She wore the scarf to school today and was SO excited to tell her teacher that she sewed it herself.

Aw man. I'm sorry so many of you are grouchy. Wanna come sit with me under my full spectrum light? There's room, and you can play matchbox cars with Henry. Maybe I'll just bring it to B&G's happy birthday party. It's good puzzle lighting.
Seriously, I hope that illness and worry and hormones ease up.
In the meantime, we went to the library yesterday, and the kids brought home a riddle book. For your mood lightening pleasure:

I'm enjoying the benefits of a steamer. My rice cooked doubles as a steamer and so far I've steamed Salmon for the boys, Corn on the cob, green beans and broccoli. It's the little things.

Every time I think of steamers, I cackle. I've shared this story before, but I have to write it again. In my mid 20's, I was engaged to and living with a fellow. His parents were very (there are not enough exponents to convey just how many verys there ought to be there) conservative. Though they liked me - maybe more than their own son - they were uncomfortable with the situation. At Christmas, they gave me a steamer. She blurted out, "Now you can steam your way to hell!" All with a smile. Big slip there. I know she "meant" to say health.
