Re: Wednesday Randoms
I must be the only one in Michigan that is not a Fielder fan. I did like his dad though.
I don't really know about him. Just that there was a lot of excitement yesterday. A couple people posted the McDonald's commercial of him from 1992. He was such a cutie then! Super important in a baseball player, right?
Mine too! Exciting times.
Crazy!!! My boss came over and told me - Andy and I had discussed Fielder as a possibility, but knew he wanted a long term contract so we weren't sure they'd go for it. I LOVE that they did and am SO excited for next season.
I joked that to decide who get's first base duty, Cabrera and Fielder should compete in what would most likely be The World's Slowest 100 Meter Dash.
Do you mean, on a personal level or professional level?
I think most fans would say the Tigers just improved their hitting a LOT by signing him. It's hard to argue that he's not a great addition in that respect.
As far as personal, he strikes me as arrogant, but I don't know much else about him. As long as he's not a total d!ck, I don't care if he produces like he did last year.
Haha! Love it. That would definitely need to be televised.
Personal. I think he's a d!ck. And I have a hard time getting past that and liking him professionally.
I so dislike mortgage companies in regards to my job. Ugh.
Ooo, sounds juicy - what did he do? Again, I know nothing about him.
Yeah, I should absolutely not be allowed to be a parent. I'm pretty sure L and I would make our hypothetical children completely miserable.
But shapes and colors by high school, really? And I think that preschool stuff can be learned in a completely fun and not pushy kind of way. As an example from my very limited experience, when my nephew was around 18 months, he loved learning body parts (knees, nose, elbows, etc.). It was completely a game to him, but he was actually learning stuff. Days of the week, colors, shapes are all similar in that way I think.
I would go tomorrow. 45 hours is really close to 48. And I admit I have no experience with these things.

My last "final" grades came out today. No bumps for me. I have to say that it wasn't totally unexpected. Also, in discussing with my classmates, we came to the conclusion that if multiple people received the same grade and were on the bump list but the curve would not allow bumping all of them, then whoever scored closest to the next highest grade was more likely to be bumped. The whole process is pretty confusing and one of my friends says it is arbitrary, which to some degree I think is true.
In any case, I'm okay. I just hope that this semester I can level out the low numbers and bring them up by a grade. It helps that overall I think my professors are better this semester and the courses are in topics that I prefer.
