H and I threw out 5 garbage bags of stuff over the weekend. We also Goodwill'd, recycled, etc, but the stuff that went straight in the trash felt really good. I had bunch of boxes of crap that came from my house with XH and H had boxes from his parents. We are now free of so much junk.

When are you coming over?

After over 30 years of being (mostly) zit-free, I've been breaking out like crazy. I bucked up and went to the derm and she said I have adult-onset cystic acne and that I'm basically fukked. I have some cream to try and minimize it, but she said unless I was willing to also take some oral medication, I wouldn't see much improvement.

Do you wash your face before you wash/condition your hair in the shower? I've found that if I wash my hair first and wash my face, the amount of acne I get decreases because the shampoo/conditioner I use leaves a thin residue on my skin, which was causing me to break out. Also, hairspray on my forehead was causing it too.

I change up my wash-order every so often to see if it'll make a difference, but no. The acne is on the driest parts of my face too - the cheeks. My T-zone is fine. Grrrr.

@Betty - Fortunately he is not ill, we have ruled that out! But unfortunately, there are no answers.
I tried several different "alert" methods for him, like a bell at the door, but he was afraid of all of them. He won't go to the door if he has to go. He just sneaks off and goes!
I am going to look into a behaviorist and see if we can afford one appointment, at least! For now we are also trying moving his crate to a different area in hopes he won't hear or see morning's arrival as much. The early morning wake-up is only since we moved to the new house.

Have you tried a belly band? Our dog has had trouble "getting it" (adult rescue) and the belly band has been awesome. We got ours off of Etsy so its a comfy flannel one. At the least you won't be cleaning up pee.
I tried one a few years ago and he got out of it, but I'd be willing to try again! I'm a little concerned about essentially putting the dog in diapers and how messy the cleanup will be all the time - how does it work? Does your dog do a full-on pee in it? I'm afraid mine would. Do you put a maxi pad or something inside it?

Yes, we put a maxi pad in there. Darwin marks rather than full out pees. The point is that it is uncomfortable to pee in it so it is a deterrent to going in the house. It's supposed to be a training tool v. A diaper. If he did go in it we would just throw it in the wash and air dry. He did so well with them he is almost 100% now, with an accident maybe every two weeks. We also have a DAP collar to reduce anxiety which helped a lot.
