I guess I've never been cool in my entire life since I've never felt the desire to get "wasted and black out"...
Re: Chit Chat Thursday?
I've gotten pretty drunk before but I never blacked out and I never had a hangover.
I just paid off a credit card. That's pretty much it for me. Ooooh!!!! And I got my prom dress yesterday (thanks for all the approval) and my shoes! I got patent leather wedges that are fairly tall but they seem pretty comfortable so I'm hoping my feet will like me at the end of the night on May 12th. I will be much taller than Bill and he said he's okay with that. Now, I just a navy dress for Wendi's wedding.
Angela, that made me chuckle a little.
Julie- yay for paying off a credit card and getting fabulous new clothes.
Since I am finally sleeping again and not feeling like a zombie I am ready to get back to the gym after almost 2 weeks off.
I have one vent, just because you have pretty letters after your name and make WAY more than me does not mean you can speak to me like I am less than you. I am technically your peer and you will treat me as such.
Julie, congrats! Paying off debt is always something worth celebrating. I thought you guys were all going to wear your wedding dresses to Wendi's wedding?? lol
The game last night was so much fun even though we lost. We didn't get to bed until midnight last night and I'm totally feeling it.

Have you tried target? I like the pants there and they aren't too much.
Aww I love shopping!! I want to go right now so bad!
Congrats on paying off the cc! I can't wait to get more of our debt paid off!

What does everyone think about this dress for a wedding?

Is it too much white for a wedding? Or is it okay?

Renee,
Dress Barn. I hate that they have the word "Barn" in their name but they always have some appropriate dresses for my age (not too young, not too old) and they are generally under $80.
BTW, this is a continuing AW. Two months ago, I found some regular (not plus sized) Old Navy pants in my closet. Not only could I get them on, but they zipped straight up and they were a little loose (thankfully, not baggy). And, this past weekend I went looking for another dress for another event and I had to try on the size smaller than I normally wear in several dresses. Bill says it looks like I've lost weight all the time but I don't really see it too much myself.
If this is for Wendi's wedding, you should really consider navy (kidding. or not). I think it's fine though. So cute!!!! I'm going to check out a different DB today for a dress to her wedding.
YAY Julie! You have a lot of good stuff going! Very exciting! I love the dress too btw!
YAY BL for not being a zombie anymore!
There are some super cute dresses at Dress Barn! I may need to get a new one soon for my trip!
Target brands don't tend to fit me well. Shirts are great, even dresses sometimes. But I guess my legs are too short for the breadth of my hips or something... pants from Target are a no-go.
I'm going to try NY&Co and Express... mostly, I want something in a sturdy material, with a high enough waist that I can do lots of bending on a wedding day without, ahem, exposing my behind.
I think that dress is adorable, and in no way too "white" for a wedding.
Cute dresses ladies! Now I really want to go shopping!
Chelsea, I'm a huge fan of Express. That is where I buy all of my dress pants. Some I've had for years and they're still in great condition!

I'm not in the cool club either Angela and I never will be but that's okay because I like to remember how the night went. I don't think we are missing much.
Paying off debt is wonderful Julie. Yay for a new dress and shoes.
To those that need to go shopping, I wish you well. I hate shopping and only do it when I absolutely have to.
I have worked out twice so far this week (in addition to walking) and last night's workout burned almost 300 calories, which got me thinking. What should be your focus: the length of your workout or the number of calories (an intense 20 minute workout)? Or is it 6 one way and half a dozen the other?
Usually I choose the 'trainer chosen workouts' which are usually 30-40 minutes and you burn around 150 calories but last night I chose my favorite exercises and in 20 minutes I had burned over 200 calories but my legs were spent.
I love that dress too!

Have you tried The Limited?

Brianna- I think it's a cute dress and not too white. :-)
Julie- I also like that dress! And congrats on the weight loss :-)
I have been so sleepy this week and don't know why! I've been going to bed on time and getting enough sleep. Maybe its just not enough good sleep?
I tried some new green tea this morning and it is really good! Its peach flavored.

I got three dresses there for various things leading up to the wedding. They were inexpensive and I still have them and have worn each one several times. I think a few of them I might consider taking to an alterations place. It seems a little silly for such a cheap dress but I really liked them.
Yay for credit card payoffs and sleeping well!
Brianna, I'd wear it.
Also, I sent a mass FB message about my brother's puppies, and some of you were in on it. If you weren't, and you're interested or know anyone who might be, please please please let me know so I can send you the info - he really needs to find homes for these puppies. 7 dogs is just too many for one house!
What kind of puppies are they?

I think both dresses are beautiful and perfect.
I honestly forgot everything else I was going to comment on since it's acutally a busy day here.
Congrats for everyones AWs!!

Brianna, I love that dress and not too white for the wedding.
Julie, that so funny that you linked that white and black dress, that is the one I am strongly leaning toward buying for our work event the night before Wendi's wedding.
I am thinking I might buy one of these too:

Thoughts?
One more thing, I just started contributing to my 401k this year and this paycheck was the first one. I contributed $70 but yet got $17 more on on my check. Not sure how that happened but I will take it.
Thanks Brianna, I really appreciate it. I hate how FB doesn't allow you to just reply to sender anymore - it makes it so annoying when you're on a big group message like that!
ETA BL - I love that second lace dress - so pretty! The first one is pretty too, but I like the lace one best
