Is this a good going home outfit?
Re: Is this a good going home outfit?
I'm kind of over her, really.
Also I rather look at the pennnis.
I kind of want to smack her, too. But then it kind of makes me want to pat her on the head.
She really, really has no clue. My guess is that people have tried to warn her about things and she probably thinks "gee, how hard can it really be?" and "these people must be wusses - its just a baby".
Her blog is a black hole. I clicked on it to see what the big deal was last weekend and I lost a large chunk of my life. I was so incredibly fascinated by the amounts of self-absorbtion and arrogance that lead to 9 months of taking near daily pictures. Could not stop clicking.
I fear for this child. Its poor little life is going to be plastered all over the internet. It will never know an undocumented or private moment until it learns how to lock doors.
Also, if/when I give birth, I plan to go home in a huge hoodie and sweatpants. Possibly no pants and just the huge hoodie depending on level of sore.
That dress is HIDEIOUS - It looks like a cheesy castoff of a "Sexy Ref/Prison Chick" costume. That dress will do wonders to hightlight her deflated beachball tummy thing she'll have.

BUT IT MATCHES THE BABY'S OUTFIT!!!!!
I just looked through her pictures... Good God. She's quite in love w/ herself. She clearly is hoping that this page/blog is a catapult to something else.
And her DH needs to not do blond. It doesn't work for him.

Am I a terrible person to think a) she's not very pretty and b) to hope that she doesn't lose any of the 40 pounds right away?
Yeah, probably. But I don't care.

She's a plain jane version of Julie Delpy, but thinks herself Gwyneth.
No, you're not.
In the "about" section of the blog she said she did modelling and all I could think was "Really? Well I guess there's always photoshop."
Theres lots of modeling you can do where you only have to be marginally pretty. She could be a showroom model, or a fitting model, or have worked anywhere else but the major markets.
All the make up and styling... I don't think your face really matters for print at all. She did have a pretty rocking bod, but I don't think she's "all baby" anymore.
She's incredibly insecure as well "really, everyone I say thought I was beautiful!"
oh my god.
The sheer self involvement.
Is it wrong that I am firmly convinced this kid will keep her up for days at a time & when Alexis is a toddler will most likely trash that house?
PS- that dress is awful. It looks like she should be in prison trying to charm her way out of being Helga's bytch in the gulag.

This is true because, sadly, I think just being really really skinny is more important, and that tends to do weird things to your face unless you're just made that way.
I mean, she is generally horrible, but that gayface picnic PG test reveal is SO much more horrible. Any bets on how long before she starts using the liquify tool on her infant pics?
OMG - I'm watching the gender reveal video. Are these people for real? IT's like a produced, edited thing.
And who are all these people that they claim have been bugging them? Are there tons of people out there who actually CARE about them?!?!?
Oy.

You can be beautiful, or you can be interesting, but meh doesn't take you far. And honestly, everyone really over exaggerates how much Photoshop comes into play. Models can't hide behind photoshop for print work. Advertisements maybe, but the budget and time just isn't there.
It's just yet another indicator of how utterly outside of reality this girl lives.

Skin tight short white dress on the way home from the hospital?
You don't see an issue? I would have loved a nightgown, but a short white dress?
And to get TMI, I've had clotty heavy periods for forever and went home on day 4, so yeah, I would've rather worn a tiny dress that didn't rub against my incision, no matter how colorful you make your metaphor.
No, I'd say it's a pretty terrible going home outfit.
First of all, your belly doesn't go away. Deflated beach ball is a very fitting term, actually. So, she'll still look about 20 weeks pregnant in that outfit, which I'm guessing will be a disappointment.
Also, you bleed....a lot! As in, put a towel down on the seats in the car, just in case. Sure, you're wearing underwear and one of those pads (size Dinosaur), but it's still possible to leak out. I'm not sure a giant red stain is quite what that outfit is missing.
But the bigger issue might actually be what the baby could do to that dress! True story, we were packing to leave the hospital with DS #2. DH had gone to take our luggage down to the parking garage so we only had to bring the kids on our final exit. He's down there and I decide to change DS #2's diaper. I'm carefully wiping his bum, and he starts squirting poo. I mean, a bit glob just came out like I had hit oil or something. Then he farted, which sent flying poo flecks through the air. As I'm squealing (yes, I squeal), he then urinates straight up in the air soaking the spare diaper I had pulled out in advance. So then I couldn't access another diaper (DH had taken the diaper bag down the car, leaving just the one ruined spare). DH walked in and I was like, "Call a nurse! We need a diaper!" I had poo all over my hands, I had poo flecks all over my shirt and poo all over DS #2's going home outfit. DH had to go back down to the car to get me a spare shirt and another outfit for the baby.
I'm just guessing that outfit won't survive a diaper change. But, at least she's having a girl and doesn't have to deal with the spray urine.
And I do think she's pretty. Not supermodel pretty, but prettier than everage.
I have no doubt that I looked like hell; a tight dress wouldn't have changed that.
Wow. Pretty much one of the most self-involved people I've ever seen.

And all those pregnancy bump shots? I took one when I was pregnant with DD. There's no way in hell I'd have posted that for anyone to see. I looked like a whale and didn't want anyone to see that. She also says "preggo". Gag.
