  Are you still totally on him every half hour asking if he has to go? You have to keep it up.

   

  I am probably in the minority - I did not do rewards for training - but Iif was I would only reward at this point when he was proactively recognizing tha he had to 'go,' not when you're catching him peeing himself.

  don't put it on him - put it on you. You initiate it. Don't ask. Tell him, on the hour, or at 2 hours, that it's time to go, and then go with him. He'll start to learn the feelings in advance.

  rewards are when he recognizes it and tells you or goes himself - you might need smaller rewards in the beginning - one m&m for getting on the potty when you tell him to without a struggle...

  Rewards didn't work for us.

  And asking/telling him to try made it worse. 

  But apparently my kid is odd.

  I DO still ask him but since last Friday he was telling us when he had to go, w/o accidents. So I'm not sitting him on it as often. I kinda figured out how long he can go before he HAD to go and if he hasnt told us by then, THEN I sit him down until he goes..

  and he LOVES the rewards. Asks for them the minute he's done peeing/pooping. I feel like I should be backing off of them, especially when he has these little accidents but I'm afraid he's going to regress

  go back to the beginning and reinforce he has to tell you to go to get his reward- and start to slowly back off the rewards once he starts to tell you again, like if he tells you late, no reward etc....
