Re: Juneville G2G Headcount

  • I voted yes, but I really think it will depend on the travel arrangements.

  • I voted yes, but really it will completely depend on when, the cost, and whether or not our budget would allow for it at the time.  I also haven't discussed this with my H at all yet, since it's only been hypothetical so far, so there's that too.

  • I agree that it is dependent on the cost for me too, but if we're planning this like 18 months in advance (I'm thinking about saving $25/monthish), I think I should be able to do it without much problem.

  • Well, hopefully by Summer of 2013 there will be a little L inside of this belly too... so that will really make some difference as well.

Same here! I'm fairly certain that I will be coming but obviously it'll depend on the circumstances. Let's just say if I can't go I'll probably cry like a baby, ha!

Eeeeeeeee! BABY L! Hopefully Baby Kimberet is here by then! lol

  • I said yes, but like others, it won't be a sure thing till much later from now! And there may also be a Baby Junie in my belly at that point as well (SO weird to think about!)

  • Ultimately it'd depend on the date and the cost (since we'll be in grad school) but having  almost 1 1/2 years to plan certainly helps!!  Count me in!  I'm assuming we'd be leaving the boys at home?

That would be the plan...however, depending on the whole baby situation for me, we might come as a family (he can stay somewhere else...and bring a friend lol)

I will cry too If I can't go, But everything looks like a yes for me. That will give me plenty of time to plan and save

They boys could always rent another house.  It can be an awkward hubby GTG! (LOL)

  • Realistically, I don't think there is anyway I could come. It's a bit far away from me and this isn't something that I could go to and leave H at home. Sounds like a great time though!

Oh, and I didn't vote or anything.

This. I doubt that our financial situation will improve all that much by then, and I can't see leaving H at home while I go on vacation.

Edit: Unless it is super close to me, but I'm pretty sure it probably won't be.

Ditto.  Flying to the east coast is super expensive from here....though maybe us "westies" should do one on our own?  No offense to the east coast girls but crossing the border and an 8 hour flight maxes out the budget a little too much

  • I don't think I can justify paying for a trip for myself. I wouldn't want to leave H alone with baby while I'm off enjoying myself either, not to mention he'd also have to take vacation time to watch baby. If we ever do a Chicago GTG (I know we talked about it once) or something I'd be up to it!

The way I see it, Clay's going to Vegas in October or November for a bachelor party, so I'm doing this.  Bwahahaha.  By then, Bryson will be into EVERYTHING.

haha DH leaves me all the time to go on storm work (and it usually isn't mandatory he just really likes going on storm work) so I don't feel bad at all leaving him. Even if we had a baby on the way I'd find it all the more reason to go haha :)

1 thing that I thought of is that we can't do it the first week of June, my brother graduates next year! So that I can definitely not miss.

  • For me it always depends on cost and what's going on in my life at the time.  But at this point, I don't see a reason why I wouldn't be able to come.  H is always supportive of me going on trips with friends and things, so I don't see why he'd have an issue with something like this.

  • As much as I would love to go, I just don't see it in the cards. That summer is going to be really busy for me with finishing my degree, my specialization courses, and starting to take certification exams. Plus I don't know what our finances are going to look like at that point - if they're anything like right now, it would be impossible. Unless we decide to go camping off of one of the Great Lakes! I'm pretty sure I could swing that ;)

  • This is the best idea!  I would love to join.  H and I are planning a trip to Europe this year (hopefully) and then planning to get a new house within 2 years so money will be tight.  however, I fully plan to set some aside now. :)

  • I want my answer to be yes, but like others it really depends on finances, etc. I do know that I will be a super sad panda if I can't go.

    Ditto this.

  • For me it would also depend on where on the East coast and finances.
  • I voted yes but it would depend on where it is and whether or not we are in the middle of moving (we are suppose to be moving again for H's work in the next few months).
